Howard Roarke Class Troop transport.
When the United States of Allanea witnessed the need of increased troop transport capability, they went to the best people to design it – Allanean Arms Incorporated and Questers Aerospace. And so was born the Howard Roarke class Troop transport. The ship is huge – and it is designed for one simple purpose – bringing lots of Allaneans with guns and AFV's where they are needed. And when we say lots of Allaneans, we do mean lots of Allaneans.
Below are imoprtant details about the Transport.
Air Decks: On the topmost decks of the ship are stored 10 cargo helicopters – the simplest method of bearing crew to land.
Crew decks: Spread out on the decks below are 22,000 troops in extremely spartan conditions – almost like those of 18th century slave ships, except with significantly better beds and hygiene. These are the complement of at least one mechanized infantry brigade – excepting of course it's helicopter crews and other personnel that use specialized deployment vehicles.
Vehicle Decks Stored here – at the lowest levels of the ship - are the tanks, IFV's, and other vehicles of the brigades (of course, helicopters, aircraft, and so forth are separately transported). Also from those decks are deployed 14 heavy hovercraft – 7 from each deck. It is they that provide the main offensive thrust of the Troop Transport.
AA Defenses:
The Roarke carries a complement of MTHEL lasers, long and medium range AA missile launchers, and CIWS turrets. Further it carries launch pads for 10 anti-ship missiles for emergency use, and two anti-shore MRLS launchers.
