The second of two epic RPG projects for Microsoft by Mistwalker, the studio founded by Square-Enix's Hironobu Sakaguchi. You play as Kaim, a man who's been sentenced to live for 1,000 years. The game's storyline takes you through Kaim's life as he lives through multiple generations, becomes a part of many families, falls in and out of love and gets into conflicts. All this is set in a world that is on the verge of a "mystical industrial revolution," where mankind has attained dark powers.


Kaim Argonar
Kaim, a man who continues to live for a thousand years of time. However brutal the battle line may be, his physical body ever remains undamaged. He currently as no memory of his past. He has put himself in Uhra as a Mercenary who wanders from war to war


Seth Balmore
Just as Kaim, Seth is also a woman who continues to live for a thousand years time. Fostering fortitude that does nto succumb to past memories, she lives life boldly. Currently, she belongs to the Uhra army just like Kaim. She faces the mystery of her own immortality.


Ming Numara
Founder of the ocean free state of Nimara. Queen Ming strives to govern in accordance with her ideals. Her natural benevolence tends to cloud her eyes, and she is easily moved by artful words, a critical weakness.


Sarah Sisulart
To seek the mystery of the immortality and the reason for her own existence, Sarah is a woman who has researched every literature from around the world. For the tragedy that has happened in the past, she had refused to opening herself up to others. But in meeting with Kaim and the others, she is able to recover her previous self.


Jansen Friedh
A lover of women and wine, and easily influenced by both, Jansen has falled in and out of love with more ladies than he can remember. Always on the run from failed romances, his recent wandering led him to Uhra, where he was hired by Councilman Gongora.


Cooke
Wise beyound her Years, Cooke protects and cares for her younger brother , Mack. Her words and action may seems a little rough, but they cannot disguise the natural tenderness she has inherited from her mother.


Mack
Although Mack has always lived in the shadow of his outgoing and clever siste, Cooke, he is tougher than he seems. If his sister were the sun, then Mack would be the moon -- both shine in their own ways.


Sed
At the helm of his submersible ship, the Nautilus, Sed is a reowned as a noble among pirates, a man who protects the weak from the strong. He has archived such fame due to his three best assets : His beloved Nautilus, his undeniable strenght, and his unfailing kindness.


Tolten
After the mysterious death of his Father, King Zypha, prince Tolten would have been next in line for the Throne. However, in the Republic of Uhra, his royal blood is meaningless. Thanks to the good grace of the council, Tolten is still alllowed to live in the late king's castle, but he has no more power than a common Uhra Citizen.

i watched this game being played, all four disc. IMO- it is a really good story line. The animation was really good. considering that it was a 4 disc game, each one was really good. i really liked this game!
