LO, IT WILL COME!

Eze 33:28 For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through.

Eze 33:29 Then shall they know that I am the LORD, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed.

Eze 33:30 Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD.

Eze 33:31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

Eze 33:32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

Eze 33:33 And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.

This passage from Ezekial is but one of many throughout the Word of God that speaks of the state we find the world in today. Every age and generation has experienced to some measure the same things…individuals down through time have been faced with the same choices. Will we believe God or not?

There is a flood of “prophetic voices” today, speaking many things. One can literally pick and choose who they will follow…what they will believe….has all this abundance of prophecy brought about mass repentance …? How genuine is our professed love…?

Our land is full of abominations….do we genuinely believe (expect) that God will bring judgment on America…and the rest of the world?….or do we assume that we still have infinite time left? How easily are we offended when the truth is spoken? How offended are we when the Name and Character of Christ the Lord is spat upon and belittled?

I pray that we, individually, will not be content to “speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD.” We make the choice, James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Thus says the Lord God. “I do not do this for your sake…but for MY HOLY NAME’S SAKE…I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols…I will give you a new heart and put a right spirit within you….I will put MY SPIRIT WITHIN you and cause you to walk in MY STATUTES, and you will keep MY JUDGMENTS AND DO THEM. Jeremiah 36:21-38 “LO, IT WILL COME!”
