How is it that people can make all these claims to be hearing from God, following the Holy Spirit, even say some really good stuff and then BLOW the whole things by holding to a belief that CONTRADICTS the Bible?

It makes no sense at all.

I do not understand. Then I am made out to be the bad guy, once more, because I disagreed with them. I am told I am not going to be gathered by the Lord, that I wll be left behind (boy is that phrase overused)

That I have left my first love, just because I refuse to believe some people who claim to be prophets, BUT THEY PROPHESY CONTRADICTORY TO WHAT THE SCRIPTURES SAY!

Are we supposed to believe them over the Bible? Is the Bible true or not? If they Bible is true, and they contradict it, then are they not ADMITTING FREELY THEY ARE FALSE?

That is how I look at it.

Get's me in trouble all the time. WHY? Because when I take that stand I am stepping on doctrinal toes and they refuse to give up their doctrine NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT CONTRADICTS THE BIBLE.

Would you like a couple of examples?

The "RAPTURE"

There is ONLY ONE RAPTURE or GATHERING of God's people to Himself. Not 2, 3, or 4 or more. Just ONE!

This gathering MUST OCCUR AFTER the FIRST RESURRECTION. The Dead in Christ will rise FIRST and then we who remain will be gathered to the Lord and always be with Him.

This CANNOT OCCUR BEFORE THE END OF THE TRIB. For several reasons.
1. Jesus said so in Matt 24
2. Rev 20 tells us the First Resurrection occurs after the END of the Trib as well
3. Paul says it is at the LAST TRUMPET CALL, as does Jesus in Matt 24.
4. Those who are in the first resurrection cannot be touched by the second death. This means that ALL who are born again during the Trib MUST be a part of the first Resurrection.

These are just a couple of major points that tell us the gathering of the saints MUST occur after the END of the Tribulation.

If you try to tell a Pre tribber or Mid Tribber or even Pre Wrath person these things, they will have a fit! They have NO PASSAGE that tells us there will be a gathering of the saints prior to the END of the Great Tribulation, BUT they KNOW IT FOR A FACT! I am not sure where they get their facts though, cracker jack?

The Church is the Bride of Christ

Ok, WHERE does the Bible say this? Good luck finding it, it is NOT there. In every instance that people who hold to this manmade doctrine, they will quote some verse that COMPARES the Church to a Bride, BUT NOWHERE in the WHOLE BIBLE does the Bible say the Church is the Bride of Christ.

NOWHERE!

In fact, the ONLY place that speaks of the Bride is in Revelation and there the Bible, you know, that Book that ALL of our doctrines are supposed to be based on and that is absolutely TRUE and cannot be contradicted, yes, THAT BOOK; Tell us that the New Jerusalem is the Bride of Christ!

that is what it says, I did not make this up. Believe me, it would far easier to say the same things everyone else says, I would get a lot less flak that way.

Unfortunately,(for my reputation) I am not allowed to say anything the Bible does not say.

Galatians 1: 10Now am I trying to win the favor of men, or of God? Do I seek to please men? If I were still seeking popularity with men, I should not be a bond servant of Christ (the Messiah).

11For I want you to know, brethren, that the Gospel which was proclaimed and made known by me is not man's gospel [a human invention, according to or patterned after any human standard].

12For indeed I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but [it came to me] through a [direct] revelation [given] by Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

many people today claim that God told them things. The problem is, what "god" supposedly told them contradicts the Bible. So I do not care what kind of life these people lead, it doesn't matter how much they appear holy to our eyes, it matters NOT that their words sound like flowery speach of angels and make wonderful promises and sometimes even speak about judgments of God on the world and even on the Church. NONE of that matters, not really.

Do you know why?

Because GOD is NOT in any LIE! Only Satan produces lies! So, the number ONE criteria for all prophecies, all doctrines, teachings, etc, is this, does it agree 100% with the Bible? It not, then it did NOT come from God. PERIOD!

I know, pretty black and white, but in many ways, that IS how God is. He did not pull punchse when He told King Saul through the Prophet Samuel that Saul was DISOBEYING GOD, when Saul had actually performed around 90% of what GOD commanded him. But God said Saul totally disobeyed Him.

Guess God looks at things a little different than we do. And THAT is the problem, because what we are dealing with in all of these doctrines, salvation, sanctification, beliefs, etc, is WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT IT?

We are STILL falling abck on mankinds big problem, every man doing what is right in his own eyes (or her own eyes). God tells us that if we are in HIS PROMISED LAND, His Promised Blessing, then WE WILL NOT DO AS WE SEE FIT, or as WHAT WE THINK IS RIGHT IN OUR OWN EYES! NO.

If we are to truly live in his Rest in His Promised Land, WE MUST DO AS GOD SEES IT, not as WE think it is.

So we cannot rely on what we think, how we feel , what we believe, how we understand things. We must take absolutely EVERYTHING we think we know and believe and give it to God and then ASK HIM what HE thinks about it. And then stand by what HE says.

BUT, no matter what, He will NEVER contradict the Bible. SO IF we "hear" something that contradicts the Bible that we believe came from God, then the reality is, WE WERE NOT HEARING FROM GOD! I do not care HOW wonderful, holy, pure or anything else it sounded to our ears. I do not ever care if we have previously been in God's presence and knowing how it "feels" have the very same "feelings" if what we hear does NOT agree 100% with the Bible then what we heard DID NOT COME FROM GOD!

If we have a problem with that, they we are really messed up.

But, I have met a lot of people over the last 10 yrs that are that messed up. They take verses out of context to prove their pet doctrines and that is NOT how we are supposed to gain understanding.

We must find out all of what the WHOLE BIBLE says on a subject and then what we hear from God and our doctrines MUST AGREE 100% with the Bible.

Or one more time, what we heard, did NOT come from God. There can be NO arguing about this. We have a final authority and it is NOT that little voice we hear in our heads.

It is the BIBLE. PERIOD. That is why we have it. I will have to discuss how God transends the Bible and may say something that contradicts what WE THINK the Bible says, but He will NEVER contradict the Bible Himself.

Anyone else have something to say about this? I would love to hear it.

a bondslave in Christ Jesus, Dirk

Amen Brother Dirk! I too am amazed that so many claim to "know" the Word of God and then lean sideways to let their favorite feelgood message fill their ears. We are called to come into that "Holy Place" that He might make His tent with us and then we (He and us) might have Yahweh make His tent with both He and us. How beloved, are we to tent with Him if we do not "Walk as Jesus walked"? Acts 17:28 says "In Him we live, move and have our being" therefore in Him we will walk as He walked.... In the WHOLE Word of God! I guess I'll get off my soapbox now.
God Bless and Keep all who are truly His, In Word, In Spirit and In Deed!
