Appearance
"You're asking me now to do one of the things I hate to do most, talk about myself. However, I suppose there's no way around it. First and foremost, I am completely identical to my twin brother. From our heads to our toes, there aren't many things that cause us to differ. I can probably count them on one hand. We're exactly the same height and weight, crazy as that may sound. It's a difficult achievement but it comes naturally too us. I doubt there's more than a pound of difference in our weight.

"The most noticable difference in our appearence is one that's rarely visible. I have a scar that runs from the middle of my sterum to my side in a bit of an arch. My friends and I were doing an experiment back in school and I got the nasty job of being a test subject for them. I never complained and I think that's how I wound up wiht the nasty scar. Oh well.

"To get down to the physical parts of my appearence. I have medium brown hair. It's nothing too special, though it's normally soft and almost fluffy looking. I keep it in a a rather short manner. About a inch and a half of hair that's kept in a messy spike. I quite like it and Gid is willing to do the same so there's no issue there. We can agree about things it seems.

"My eyes are also one of my distinguishing features. They're a bright, crystaline blue. I'm quite fond of them because they're so expressive. I've been learning how to keep my emotions out of them now that I'm in the Order, but sometimes i think the older members have no trouble reading what's on my mind. I also think they make me seem really innocent. And, I guess in a way I am. I just try to see the best in the world. Rose colored sunglasses I guess.

"My skin is gently tanned. I have no trouble in the sun. I never, ever burn and i have a nice tan almost all year around. I'm fortunate that way. I also tend to have stubble growing on my face. Sometimes I can't be bothered with shaving so i seem to have either a 5 o'clock shadow or some thicker hair growing. It doesn't really bother me much. I shave when I need to. Sometimes it's just a hastle."

Personality
"Being a pureblood was something that was drilled into my mind since I was a child. But, with my clear blue eyes, it was hard to believe I could become a manipulating member of this soiciety. Still, I listened to my mother as she went on about high society. I went to her parties, met and talked to young woman and kept a respectable face. Perhaps more respectable than Gideon, simply because I bothered to not be rude or with the rowdy young members of society. No, I kept a friendly face and danced when I was supposed to. Everyone complimented how, even at age 6, i had manners better than some of the fathers. This was partially because I went to etiquette lessons for Gideon too. The joy of having an identical twin-for him that is. I just learned how to be uber polite. Oh, and I think Gideon gave me part of his allowence or made my bed in exchange for it. Something I would have gotten from him anyway. Well, i think it was worth it I guess.

"I think the most momumental experience of my pre-teen life was getting sorted at Hogwarts. I think this is true of most children who attend a magical letter, but I cannot speak for everyone. I just think it shapes our lives in a way nothing else really can. Especially because it's based on our decisions and choices. Odd really how an 11 year old makes a choice that will effect him daily until he's nearly 19 years old and then onto the rest of his life. I'm not sure I agree with the idea, but at the same time, I wouldn't have it any other way. At Hogwarts I was sorted into Hufflepuff. It was a quick sorting, especially when comared to Gideon's sorting just after my own. However, the hat said I was dead loyal and very intelligent. I would fit well in the house for the intelligent or the house for the loyal. I asked one question and only one question of the hat, "Where are the kids nicer? I want to have friends." For the first time in my life, I didn't want to have to rely completely on Gideon for a friend. I wanted a group of my own. Of course, the answer was Hufflepuff and off to the table I scrambled.

"Having Gideon in a different house at school was trying but I think it worked out for the best. Gideon acted as my best friend out of my house but I was able to make a group of friends that will last me a life time. I never worry about them stabbing me in the back or doing anything to betray me. Sometimes I trust them more than anybody else. I'm not a naturally trusting person either. In fact, I always look for people's flaws long before I look for the ups of their personalities. I try to find who's going to hurt me and how they're going to do. I find the worst in people before I find the good. It may be a cynical way of doing it, but I've never had a bad, untrustworthy friend in my life. I'd say i have an excellent judge in character. It's also one of the reasons i worry about Gid and the friends he has. I'm afraid one of them is going to hurt him badly. Be it emotionally or physically. It was bad enough when he lost his finacee. But i will always and forever be for my brother and anyone else who needs me. Loyalty is my specialty, not to mention I'm a good help. Great at helping people. I can tackle anything thrown my way.

"I think another important thing about my personality is that I'm quiet. Very quiet. I hate talking to strangers and people I don't know very well. I've been known to stand around and make converstations uncomfortable simply because I don't like to add my own ideas. I remember when I was younger hearing the quote 'it's better to be silent and let the world wonder how smart you are, than it is to open your mouth and let them know how dumb'. It's something like that anyway and I've always kind of lived by it. I don't want people to realize I'm not as smart as they think I am. Gideon's the real brains, I'm just here. He's the one to watch, I'm just his side kick and his concicence. Nothing too special. I've never been special and never will be special, that's just how I am. I'm perfectly content with it.

"I spend a lot of my free time, the time that isn't spent at work or in the Order, reading. I read a lot and have ever since I was a small child. I learned to read by the time I was about three and a half and from then on kept my nose in the book. It was the best way to pass the time when Gideon wasn't around to be my friend. When he was off doing other things. I also discovered aout the time I was 12 that I could paint. Really paint. It was quite funny really, but I won't bore you with the details. I think my truest talent lays in my nack for languages. Now that I'm 22, I am fluent in English, French, and Spanish. I know a fair amount of Russian, Italian and German (enough to get by if i ever go to the countries) and a bit of Arabic and some celtic languages. Once you know two or three languages, the rest come easily. Just... don't make me angry or I'll spout off a ton of different things in a ton of different languages. It just sort of slips out. Not saying I have a bad temper or anything> I think I'm very good at keeping myself calm. Just sometimes I get worked up and things happen. I can't help it.

"To give you a quick conclusion. I'm loyal, I read a lot, I'm good with languages, I spend loads of time thinking. I like who I am, as quiet as I am. I'm not self loathing and will never damage myself on purpous. I'm very much so a go getter and do whatever it takes to get my goals accomplished. My best friend is my brother and I don't like a lot of the people he knows. I'm a great judge of character, i think. No of my friends have ever betrayed me."

Likes Gideon, Molly, magic, reading, speaking in different languages, his job as a healer, traveling
Dislikes his parent's generation (most of them at least), fake fruit flavoring, fast food, having to go to work every day, the evil people in the world.

History
"I was born to the Prewetts as the final surprise. That's right, I wasn't expected. Even though a seer told my mother that she'd get a surprise on the night that Gideon and I were born, she never expected twins. In fact, she expected anything but two baby boys, identical in appearence. When one of us cried, the other cried louder so they could be heard. At least, that's what she said. Normally it was Gideon crying louder for me, because apparently, even as a child i was the soft spoken one. That, as we can see, is a characteristic that has carried throughout the rest of my life. I don't think I'll ever be very loud.

"As a toddler my life was that of a typical child. Molly, Gideon, and I all shared a nurse who cleaned for us and took care of us. Molly had a governess who came and taught her basic education and when Gideon and I were old enough, we recieved a governor who taught us everything a young man needed to know. Needless to say, we were good students but a tad naughty. We liked to take the whole twin thing to the extreame. At least I can say I had a fun childhood-until I was eight.

"When I turned eight, my mother divorced my father. She dragged me and Gideon and Molly with her and we were permitted to spend time with him a couple of times a month. He was a merchant and was always travling, so our time with him was always exciting. We saw the world thanks to him. Months in Italy and hundreds of other places abroad.

"I distinctly remember this time in france when Gid was trying so hard to tell someone something and it came out horribly wrong. I was the one with the gift of language, but I was laughing faar to hard to help him out. Instead I stood there and laughed until I couldn't breath. He then had to help me calm down so I could breath-and speak for him. The french can be down right rude sometimes, but at least I have a perfect accent. Even my father, as worldly as he is, is jealous of my gift. And, I'd have to say it has come in handy as a member of the Order. Being fluent in so many languages is never a bummer though.

"One of the most exciting events of my life was going to Hogwarts. I remember buying my school supplies and practically bouncing all over Diagon Alley with excitment. It was perhaps the most wound up I've ever been in public. Normally I'm the mature, quiet one, putting on a completely respectable act while my brother was off causing a bit of trouble. At Hogwarts a few days later, I was sorted into Hufflepuff. Gideon seems to think it was an instant sorting but it wasn't. I had a fairly short chat with the hat. Nothing as extensive as his was, but it was still something. I just had to know which house I would make the best friends in. And that was Hufflepuff of course. Where loyalty prevails above all else.

"I graduated Hogwarts with a close to perfect score on my NEWTs. Something to be proud of, that was for sure. I realized I could have any job I wanted, but I went into a field where I could help people-healing. I work now at St Mungo's but have spent a fair amount of time traveling for them as well. Whenever they need someone to go into a foreign country, I'm the one they send. It's just because I can get by where ever they send me. I know Gideon isn't too fond of it, but I hate his friends so he can hate my job. It just turns out in the end. I appreciate that he worries about me though, really appreciate it. I wouldn't trade my brother for the world, that's for sure. He's my best friend, I woudl surely die without him. Both of us work for the Order of the Phoenix. It's noble work to save the world from He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named, it's my top priority. Working for Dumbledore is quite the honor. No one quite understands exactly how I feel. A Hufflepuff holds a place of honor. Maybe it's not enough to get a lot of glory, but it means something to me. Us Hufflepuffs are great, just everyone over looks us. We don't mind, but some day someone's going to show them wrong for underestimating us, I'm sure of it."

QUOTE
Issac hated this place and Jem knew it, still his brother had asked him to come. A stupid text message saying 'hey. come to the skate park." and nothing more. It was a stupid beaconing that Issac couldn't refuse. His brother knew he hated being alone and his brother knew he was sitting in their room alone. Manipulation, it drove Issac insane. As much as he loved his twin, sometimes Issac wished he respected him as much as he respected Jem. If course, Jem never really cared that his brother had a serious mental disorder or anything like that. No, he tried his best to treat Issac like he was a normal kid even htough Iz was anything but normal.

And how could he be normal? Issac was an amazing musican. He was first cello, first oboe, and the only piano player in the jazz band. Not to mention Izzy was amazing at guitar and played a pretty mean bass-both upright and electric. Knowing and needing to practice four instruments a day was time consuming but Issac did it, along with his homework. Of course, the homework took some major prodding on the part of the people who knew Issac but it always got done in the end. Afterall, failing out of school was not something Issac wanted to do. Even if he was fairly certain he could go out and get a record deal for at least one of his instruments. If not one that allowed him to play more than one. Of course, Issac wasn't ready to go out and do this, so he was content ballencing everything he wanted to do. Going out to get signed meant meeting and playing for new people. Things Issac hated the most.

Today Izzy was dressed in faded jeans that bunched low on his hips and showed some of his boxers with his shirt off. They were a size or two too big for him and held up by a belt. Despite the fact that the twins could afford really nice clothing, Issac was found of buying things from thrift and vintage stores. His nicer clothing was vintage and everything else was someone's old junk. Except shoes. Shoes were always, always bought new. Wearing something that had been on someone else's feet for long periods of time was absolutely discusting. Today Iz wore one of his thrift store button downs with a tie around his neck, an old man golf sweater and his vintage leather jacket. Issac was not known for being stylish. Instead he was known for getting dessed with his eyes closed. Or at least, Issac basically grabbed the first things he could find in his closet and he was fond of layering. This meant that he always had something interesting to wear. Never a dull moment. It was really great for Izzy because he could wear Jem's clothing too. They might as well have just one very large wardrobe because Iz was constantly stealing his brother's clothing. It was always returned, always cleaned properly, and always back where it belonged. Jem couldn't have been luckier to have an OCD brother sharing his clothing.

Packaging up Elizabeth and putting her in her hard, protective case, Izzy began getting ready to go see his brother. He'd been playing cello in their room. Orange Peel had to be put back into her case and stored. All of Issac's instruments were stored in their room, except for a piano. One would assume this made for a crowded room, but instead it was quite easy to get around in because Issac kept everything so organized. It was the nice thing about having a brother who was completely OCD. Jem almost never had to clean because Issac always did it for him. Putting Orange Peel by the door, Issac fixed his bed clothes and grabbed his back pack. He double checked to be sure everything was okay and to his liking before he headed out the door.

As soon as he was on the streets, Issac began to question his sanity. Why was he going through with this just to be sure he wasn't alone. It didn't make sense. He hated crowed streets, he hated walking alone. Just one step and then another, a bit closer to the destination. Issac nearly paniced when someone bumbed into him and then later as more and more people jostled him. Finally, a break in the crowd and Issac could breath again. He was sweating something fierce and his blue eyes were wide with fear. He both hated and needed Jem at this point but his brother was still a bit further away. Chewing on his lip as he walked, Issac kept his eyes constantly moving-sidewalk, faces, sidewalk, buildings, sidewalk, street, faces, sidewalk. Never did his eyes stop moving. Things were always changing and it was driving him insane.

Not soon enough and Issac was at the skatepark. He knew his way around well enough to be able to walk with his eyes practically on the grounded. He looked up every once and awhile but otherwise was okay. He pretty much despised being here and teh wrinkled nose was a pretty big hint. "Jem! Jeremy! Jem!" Issac called when he spotted his brother. A tiny bubble of rage was in his chest when he realized his brother was in the zone. Stupid boy. He called his twin here-his twin who hated being out in public-only to ignore him or forget he was coming. Frowning, Issac sent a dirty look at his brother before searching for a place to sit. He chewed on his lip, eyebrows still furrowed together. Issac pearched himself on a piece of the 'rink' that wasn't being used by any of the skaters. The waaay too skinny boy took his guitar case off his back and opened it up. He took his guitar out and began tuning. The joy and curse of having perfect pitch-even in a place like ths, Issac could hear and spent lots of time trying to get his guitar in as perfect tune as possible. Finally satisfied, Issac began to play a song. Fast and angry, he fed his frustrations with Jem into the music.

What did Matt eat? Cheese Quesadillas
