I'm building a serverfarm in my closet. It's primary purpose will be to help rendering my videos, but it will only be doing that 5% of the time it is up. The rest of the time it will be idle.
Being the nolife I am, my first thought is "Game server!" So my question is, is there any PC games you guys wanna have a server for? I'm planning on having 5 extra nodes. This means we can have a server for 5 different games, 5 servers for one game, etc. Just wanted to know what you guys thought. -------------------- Where as ENIAC has 18,000 vacuum tubes and weights 30 tons, computers in the future might only have 1,000 vacuum tubes and weigh 1.5 tons.

Cool man! I personally can't think of any PC games that I or we would need, but there are some people that play CoD4 still and PR, so hopefully someone will post something.

I'm just gonna go with a CoD4 and a CSS server for now. I don't have BF2 installed and I lost the first disk or I would host a PR server.

CoD4 server would be tight. I've been wanting to get back into that game but hate going into crazy servers to get my bearings back.
Don't know of another game at the moment. |
