As much as I like Butler, he just hasn't shown the skills to be a true PG IMO. I don't know how many picks Koufos set, and then rolled down and was wide open and Butler didn't even try to get him the ball. The one time he did try the ball was way late, and Koufos was surrounded by the time the ball got to him. Koufos really needs to work on passing the ball back out when he gets the double team. I know of one particular play he drew the double team in and Diebler was standing right behind him, and he chose to try some acrobatic shot instead of kicking the ball back out for the wide open shot. I know missing 17 shots in a row didn't help any either, but I guess if you are looking for a positive. We only loss by 11 points to the #2 team, even after missing all those shots and not scoring for 12 minutes of the 2nd half.

After seeing Diebler just about dunk on that guy, I really think he needs to drive more instead of just standing at the 3 point line until the ball comes to him. When Butler drives and doesn't do that tear drop finger roll (?) thing, he does really well. Let's just hope Diebler has finally found his ability to shoot and continues playing well.

I'm in almost complete disagreement about Butler. I think he's played fantastic this year. Conley really spoiled us. He isn't typical.

I'm not sure what to think at this point. These class of freshmen is very talented but obviously not near last year's group.

I think Butler has played well but he has absolutely no one to help him at the spot. PJ Hill already seems to be another Sylvester Mayes. Seemed good out of JUCO but really isn't. At least PJ seems like he has a polite demeanor about him.

By February, this could be a pretty good team.

He certainly played a great game, nobody can argue with that. I didn't get a chance to watch the Illinois game, but I did listen to most of it on the radio.
