[Horatio Caine]

Recently myself and Grissom discussed the current state that C.m. is under. As was noticed ( hope) I had been increasingly inactive, and so, in turn, finally Grissom is as well. This is a disconcerning event for us all. and one that is obviously doing someplace bad and fast.

Myself and Grissom spent a good three hours discussing what we shall do, and what exactly is going on. We`ve come to a sobering conclusion.

CSI is not what is used to be. When we first started the site it was when CSI was beginning to get popular, it wasn`t fully mainstream when we ourselves enjoyed it, and that`s how we enjoyed it. CSI has shifted it`s gears so to speak to their 'newer audience' who are really, those who should never watch the show. I never enjoyed the show for the drama, I enjoyed it for the science, and a great deal more. That however has all but left (the science hasn`t obviously but it`s not what they focus on). My point is this, I myself became more increasingly annoyed with both CSI and it`s ignorant fans, to the point where I refuse to watch the show now, which is a serious concern all in itself.

This added on my already uncomfortable nature with role-playing in modern day- modern day and a character which is not my own. I`m accustomed to Fantasy and my own characters. I constantly felt as though my hands were tied. And Horatio being a character who refuses to do anything but ruin every body else`s fun, it become quite tiring, and redundant as great deal quicker then I ever thought it would. Don`t get me wrong I enjoy role-playing Horatio, and I felt in teh beginning I did him justice, but as I slowly lost my patience and started to slack, I started to get annoyed with myself, and so a vicious cycle occurred.

C.m. there since has been dieing, a slow and painful death. And I`ll never deny the fact that it is a great deal my own fault. This site, by no means is my first role-play site, I have owned many, and all of them in a varying amount of time, from two weeks to a year, have all died off, because of me simply leaving. There`s a difference with this site however.. I care about my members here a great deal, and I don`t want to simply leave and loose all of you. And so I have a new proposition and I hope to god you`ll hear me out.

C.m. is going to be shut down. Me and Grissom haven`t the time or will to do it anymore. We discussed turning it over to someone else. But, we quickly dropped the idea. A great deal of work went into C.m. Weeks worth. and I`m sure in time when this crazy 'CSI fad' has died away again that we may open up the site once more. It will be kept in mind. But in the meanwhile we`ll be opening up a fantasy based Role-play site.

Please believe me when I say I want all of you to join.

I know there`s a huge difference between Fantasy and modern day, but i hope the adjust will be well worth it to all of you. You`re characters can be closely based- hell identical to what you have here. The style will be in-between fantasy/modern day. It`s a bit difficult to explain, but you will understand once you get there. Further still everyone who myself and Grissom consider 'the Original C.m. crew' (as we call them) will all instantly have a higher role there. The Original C.m. crew being; Myself, Grissom, Athena, House, Catherine, Sara, and Faith.

Please understand my desperation to keep our members with us. I am currently up for any and all suggestions and opinions on the matter.

I`m sorry Catherine to bring this up on your 18th birthday (happy birthday dear), But at least I`m trying something new instead of shutting down the site. As I said before, and I`ll say again. I`m not willing to loose you guys.. and will go to great lengths to keep you.

I completely understand how you feel, Horatio. In fact, I'm not shocked at all that you and Grissom have made that decision; your reasons are logical. This is my first time role-playing, and because I’m not an original I felt - and still feel - awkward with posting, etc.

I'm sorry to hear that CM will be shut down I know you both put a great deal of work into the newest design, but I understand the reasoning behind your decisions.

I have no idea what fantasy based Rping involves, but I know I’d really miss you both and everyone else here. So just tell me where and when.
