Yay

Here's what's happening

1) January 22 we're freezing RPs on both forums. This is so we can make final transfers and ensure everything is done.
2) To transfer RPs, we had to preregister a lot of accounts - pretty much, everyone who's made a contribution to an RP. Once all the RPs are finalized, we will modify your password and give you your password. I'm thinking it'll probably be handed out via e-mail but if you have a problem with this (eg: "my e-mail account doesn't exist anymore"), we can make alternate arrangements. Note: we used your e-mail that was listed with the Aberdeen/Charis server based upon your RP contributions. For example, Free Cordova was registered under the e-mail given by DBL on the Charis forums while DBL was registered under the e-mail given here. They might be the same so you might get a bit of e-mail.
3) January 24, we will post the Uroca URL here. While those who were preregistered will know the URL beforehand, we ask that you do not release it because we don't want there to be confusion about already being registered.

The Election vote will take place on the Urocan forums. The Urocan forums do have a mod installed allowing the admins to view the voters' to ensure there is no fraud. The Admins have agreed that Imperfectia will be the only one who looks at the votes on this matter, so it will then come down to whether you trust (or care) about the admins not checking your votes. If you have any issues or would like to register a concern about this, please speak to one of the admins. I would like to remind everyone that the Aberdeen system does use silent voting and that is a major reason we have this mod installed. There's a good chance it will be gone in the new constitution and non-silent voting will be instituted, but that isn't guaranteed.

Other notes:
1) We have an introduction thread where you can make yourself known to everyone. Please check it out
2) We have a puppet registration thread. We are asking everyone to register their accounts if they have more than one simply for simplicity sake.
3) All timeline relevant RPs will have been moved by the time the new forum goes live. Odd ones that aren't timeline important may also have been moved. We will also be moving National Embassies (Aberdeen only) and National News (both) if there are any timeline relevant data in them (if there is, the entire thing will be moved regardless). In most cases, major members will be moved.
4) If you would like your name changed, that can be arranged. If you want your accounts merged, that cannot be arranged. Sorry.
5) No National History, Info, etc has been or will be moved short of the admins' personal material. You are more than welcome to move it yourself.
6) AMID secure content will be moved if it is deemed important. Regional Court Case Docket has been moved. Aside from these two, no Ministry material has been moved. Ministers are more than welcome to populate their ministries with old material.
7) The admins have worked really hard to get everything done. Noting mistakes is fine, but don't female dog or else you'll be asked to move several thousand posts under 50+ accounts. (As of this posting, the Urocan admins have made a combined 1,138 posts across exactly 50 accounts)
8) Constitution draft will be there in the debate hall. I'm not sure what stage it will be in when everyone gets access to the forum.

Another thing...

Don't complain about the skin. The merger committee agreed to an overall color for the skin, and the admins of the forum finalized it, making sure that it was not only easy to modify if new modifications/graphics need to be installed, but also pleasing on the eyes.

Plus I've spent enough time modifying it to suit the region.

Well, this all sound good. Should I start moving nations to the in-game region?

Imperfectia has actually password protected the region until the release of the forum I believe.

No one should move in-game until the election results are in. Why? Because with the job of PM comes the job of delegate so this way we know who the delegate is and who the vote for.

as soon as I close the Elections, I will take the pasword off the region and change the WFE to request all nations to endorse the newly elected PM.

I'd just like to remind you of this process. The passwords for the pre-registered accounts are being changed as I speak. If the email account you signed up with does not exist, or you would just generally like to recieve your password for the new forum via PM, post here.

On a different note, we had difficulties sending out e-mails so we sent via PM. More difficult, but at least it worked. Aioran and one of Paradica's accounts (the one that starts with an A) were e-mailed, everyone else got a PM.

If you didn't get a PM on either forum, you weren't registered.
