Mysts was founded by a group of wartorn soldiers from "The Great ZAFT War". With their views on government based on that of Aub's the nation they had just defeated. After their leader Van Zeidnir had broken his vows of Freedom, they deserted to find the land that became Mysts.

After the soldiers set up the government, Mysts ran decently, and from that point on they vowed to build and maintain an army, incase peace was ever threatend.
