Well, I got the game a while back and really enjoyed the characters and how the heart events deiffered depending on how you play through them. The nagging problem I found was that the controls were terrible. Everything was controled by the touch pad. I tried my best to look past this detail, but it after losing precious health over and over again due to a stray tap on the pad I gave up. I don't know, any thoughts?

Ah! I know exactly what you mean. It was a beautiful game, with amazing additions but it got a bit annoying when you would accidentally touch the wrong spot on the screen (even though you swore it was the right spot) and then you lose alot of stamina. I actually stopped playing a little bit after I married Vaughn so I didn't have my kid yet or anything....

Now I'm playing Harvest Moon SNES on Wii and Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility to get me by. ToT is a very pretty game and the characters are amazing. They actually have different personalities in this one that are noticeable. and the SNES version is just awesome because it's the very first Hm ever. It's nice to see how the HM series grew and flourished. I look at the old games and then the new ones and it's just amazing.

GAH! I was playing both of those beofre I left home for school! ToT was great! Unless you time the harvest sprites wrong and have to wait a year to do complete the recipies like I did O_o lol! I should have brought my wii with me, it was just atarting to get to the point when I was racking in the cash to do all the little details. (like furniture, and different clothing, and buying other plots of land etc)
I thought the crop system was way better on ToT than it was on AWL, and to be honest I like it better than the 3x3 plot system...

Same here. And you never end up watering an empty square of land. You always get your plant watered. ^_^ I never waste energy. I really like all the choices for animals too. Like when I first got it and when the screen loads I was like..."What is that little white thing...it looks like a ghost with a long nose!" Then after playing more and going through the Instruction Booklet I realized it was a silkworm and then I saw you could get ostriches and stuff. I was so excited about this.

Now I'm trying to marry Julius, he should be moving in my town in two weeks(game time).
