the wolf felt the wind blow against his delicate face. his eyes were closed, and he was facing the wind. his coarse hair was pushed against his face and body, showing how skinny he was from long days of travel. There had been hardly any food, but at least he had had water. He sighed, and looked around the new land, wondering if he should stop here, and rest. It could also be made into his new home. He looked around, his light blue eyes gazing at all there was to see. he sneezed softly, and jogged on, wanting to find a terra.

his soft padded feet made no noise, and he loped silently through the woods. His fur gently bounced up and down. It gleamed in the sun, even though he was in the shadows. Gentle eyes looked out from a fierce face, and a small smile was plastered on his lips. his tail was wagging slightly, and he was happy. he felt his spirits rise, and he was glad about that. He had been slightly down these last few days, and he thought his life was taking a turn for the better.

Then, the shadows ended. light blazed down on him, and his eyes squinted as the rays seeped through his lids. he finally got used to the sun, and looked around. this place was perfect. there wasn't much hiding places in case of attack, but the grass was long enough to conceal you. rocks made up small dens for him and his future family. he smiled, and looked around, knowing this was his new home. He would keep it, and fight for it, and hopefully not lose it. he hopped on a small boulder, and rested his head, looking over his new land. this was his new beginning...
