Large paws caked with dark mud glided in lethal silence over the cold earth. Keen eyes darted here and there, checking for a clear coast before continuing on. The darkness that engulfed him suited his mood, his eyes seemed like stones and his heart was fit to match. His visage glazed over with a ghostly stare as he waded through the mist, looking almost satanic. The night seemed perfect for a midnight romp, he wasn't interested in being social, in fact he would much prefer to rip the jugular from the very neck of whoever crossed his path.

"Fuck this damn thing." he said, stopping suddenly and peering down at a small gash in his leg - it had been healing from the battle between himself and Layla, but he had managed to rip it back open again. He lowered his lips to the bleeding gash and lashed at it with his tongue to remove the white substance that oozed from it. He almost recoiled with the bitter taste, brow furrowing as he raised his head, another scent. Death. Head slowly rotated to view the direction in which the heavenly scent was coming from. With a jerk he began to swiftly south, the moon falling darkly behind the clouds, and what was left of its dim glow was soon shut out by the towering canopy of trees.

The eerie silence didn't effect him, his breathing silenced as he came upon what he had been searching for. Ears lay back tightly upon his regal crown as he looked it over. It was a wild cat, long dead. It looked as if it had been brutally beaten before having it's neck sliced open. The view of its open belly did not put Zoloh off for one moment, he stepped forward to investigate, placing his paw in a wet patch of blood. He sniffed the air, the smell of wild cat was everywhere - but there was nothing to worry about, he could nothing smelt fresh.

Eyes returned to the solemn carcass, the inviting smell of raw flesh and blood was so tempting; for he had not eaten in so long. He refused it however, for obviously this creature had been exiled, and for something pretty bad. Eyes suddenly darted toward a rustle in the bushes, what was that. Muscles tensed, he let a menacing growl break the eerie silence - and to his displeasure a bird burst into the night sky, screeching and fluttering until it was out of sight. Damn bird.

Zoloh turned from the small clearing and made his way back out into the open where he bathed himself in moonlight, eyes following the tree's upward direction to the stars. Now this was the real definition of solace in solitude.
