For the final night we camped at Alexandria Bay. This is a coastal diamond mining district with many areas off-limits. Good to have warm showers.
![]() ![]() ![]() These boats go out and try and vacuum diamonds off the seafloor. ![]() Because of the bad weather and rain when we drove back south the wild flowers were blooming ![]() ![]() Happy weaver birds in the trees above the lunch time stop ![]() We stopped to look at the Olifants River at Kredo where it was flowing over the bridge ![]() And into Cape Town ![]() |

Kirstenbosch is a pleasant later afternoon walk, but difficult for photography. This is the back of Table Mountain and Devils Peak

This is Hout Bay ![]() ![]() Diaz Beach near Cape Point ![]() Always opportunistic baboons around ![]() And the dassies are fat from scavanging ![]() This is a 'baboon proof bin'- Ashara is making sure she can open it. |
