In the morning light we could now see where we were. Our Safari Test was built on a wooden platform with a deck.
![]() And looked over the river which has water in at this time of year. ![]() During an early morning around the camp a varety of foot prints could be seen in the sand. ![]() The toilet rondawel. ![]() The shared kitchen area, hot plates, sinks and water heaters. ![]() Numerouse birds ran about the area and vultures crash-landed into the trees where they were nesting nearby. ![]() Because of our car problems - the boot was jammed closed & we had arranged a swap of vehicles with the hire company- our drives were limited. We did a loop along the H7, S140 and S36. We wrote a list of what we saw within a certain time zone, which is fun, particularly when you look back and read how much you did see sometimes and how little at other times. ![]() ![]() Map showing our journey on the first day. The sun was getting low and it was time to return to camp.
