Now, I'd like to welcome you all to Character Regulations. If you're reading this, you're probably already signed up, and ready to create your character's profile... let me take you on a journey of character creation, with our friend, Little Johnny.

Little Johnny found my site this morning, and was very eager to register, which is where he made his first mistake. He created an account, which was as follows "LilJohnny91". Now, you can see where there is a problem with that, right? Little Johnny didn't know that his account name has to be EXACTLY the same as his character name, and obviously, since his character name cannot be LilJohnny91, he's going to have to re-create his account, and ask an administrator to delete his old one. Don't let this happen to you.

LilJohnny, still not having finished reading the main rules post, went and created a new account called JohnnyGoldstine. Now, he has a first and last name, but guess what the problem is? This isn't Proboards, that's the problem. This is Invisionfree, and here at an Invisionfree forum, you can have spaces in your account. Little Johnny had to back once again, and re-create his account.

Little Johnny came back again, and now his account name was Johnny Goldstine, which is perfectly acceptable. What isn't acceptable, however, is when Little Johnny started writing his character's background. He decided that Lord Malfoy had killed his character's parents, and that he was on the beaten path for revenge.

WRONG!

I have decided, due to the fact that everyone loves to copy Harry Potter, that characters may no longer have had their parents killed by Lord Malfoy without first consulting me, and only me, via AIM/MSN/YIM before creating their profile. This concept is so cliche, and used much too frequently as a reason to wage war on the New Dark Lord. Find another reason for your character to hate him. If you can't, then you're honestly not creative enough to be here on my site.

Now, Little Johnny changed his family history, and he thought that he was done. But wait! There were more problems with his application. Little Johnny claimed that his character was Ron Weasly's cousin. WRONG!

Your character cannot in any way, shape, or form be a relative of any canon characters from the Harry Potter novels. No exceptions.

Little Johnny thought he was ready to post his application, but he wasn't? Guess why? He'd decided that his character was going to be an Animagus. WRONG.

Your character cannot be an Animagus, Veela, Werewolf, Vampire, or anything other then a plain old, normal human without my consent. No exceptions.

Little Johnny was trying to make his character be a Slytherin. Guess what? DENIED.

This section lists the houses we are not currently accepting students for. This is due to Slytherin and Gryffinfor, namely, being too popular, but Ravenclaw could also appear on here occasionally. Currently, students are not allowed in the following houses:

Please create your character accordingly, or you might wind up going back and reworking your whole profile, like Little Johnny.

Little Johnny posted his application, but was DENIED. Why, you ask? Members may no longer register without listing either an instant messenger screen name, whether it be YIM, MSN, or AIM. Listing your email address, or that I can contact you via PM does not count. I can already contact you both of those places. Please remember in addition to listing your screen name, to please specify with messenger application you use.
