Childhood Memories

[Alexia Vance]

Alexia walked slowly into the room of requirement. She wasn't really sure what exactly she wanted the place to be, but obviously the room did. Right before her eyes playground equipment starting to spring out of the ground. She took a step back, leaning against the wall until everything seemed to be in place.

She let her eyes wander over everything that had appeared. From the large yellow slide to the monkey bars, everything looked exactly like the park she used to go to when she was younger. A large smile spread across her lips, “Thank you.” she muttered quietly to the room.

She sighed deeply and walked over to the swings that stood in the center of the playground. She sat down, grabbing each chain, and began to swing back and forth. She was glad to finally be alone. She needed time to think and to worry about everything that had changed in her life. She was having new things thrown at her everyday, and the one thing that should have been certain, her playing quidditch, wasn’t anymore. She loved Quidditch with all of her heart, and yet she couldn’t just keep her mouth shut, so she lost all chances of playing for her house team.

But before she could even finish her train of thought she heard someone open the door slowly. She sighed deeply, great she thought angrily as she looked up to see who had ruined her silence.

[Jared Eaton]

"Oops. Sorry." Jared said when he saw that the room was already changed for somebody. He saw Alexia sitting on a swing and waved to her. "Oh, hi. Well, I'll just be going...you look...busy." He said, backing out of the door with a slight smile on his face as he looked around the playground.

[Alexia Vance]

Her anger started to fade as her eyes fell upon Jared. If there was anybody in this school she wouldn't mind being bothered by, it was him. She flashed him a half smile as he started to back away. "You know you don't have to leave." She returned her gaze to her feet, watching the ground move back and forth under them as she swung.

[Jared Eaton]

"Really?" He asked brightly. "Can I join you then?" He asked eagerly, stepping inside and closing the door behind him.

[Alexia Vance]

"I thought that was implied in the whole 'you can stay' thing." She added smartly, watching the ground go back and forth.

[Jared Eaton]

"Well, you never know...Look but don't touch sort of thing, you know?" He muttered, pulling off his shoes and running towards the playground.

Out of nowhere a tire swing and another blue slide appeared next to Alexia's playground. "Oops, I think I've just tainted your memory!" He yelled as he ran up the slide and jumped from the top of it directly onto the tire swing, miraculously not breaking any bones as he swung wildly about, his limbs flailing about in every direction. "Whoo!"

[Alexia Vance]

She laughed at his comment watching as his slide and tire swing appeared next to her equipment. She watched as he climbed the slide and gasped as he jumped and managed to land right in his tire swing. "Boys.." She muttered quietly to herself as she continued to swing herself nicely front and back.

[Jared Eaton]

He went on his stomach on the swing and pushed off with his feet until he was flying and spinning around in crazy circles and figure-eights. "Watch this!" He called to her, freezing everything suddenly in midair and jumping down before shoving his wand back in his robes and watching the swing fall anti-climatically with a shudder to a dead stop.

Jared ran back to the slide and conjured some socks, slipping them on his hands. He climbed the ladder to the top and went down the slide in a handstand, his mittened hands slipping out from under him around halfway down. But he seemed prepared for this betrayal as he arched his back so his feet landed neatly at the bottom of the slide, his body curved in a bridge shape.

[Alexia Vance]

Alexia couldn't help but sit there laughing. Half the shit he pulled she would probably kill herself doing if she tried. And when he put the socks on his hand, it was priceless. "You're gonna end up killing yourself one of these times." She exclaimed as she watched him land in a bridge at the end of the slide.

[Jared Eaton]

"Oh, that's nothing, the first time I did this I broke my wrist!" He said excitedly, pulling down the sleeve of his robes to show her a small battle scar on his shoulder. "I landed on broken glass one time when I slipped off some monkey bars too." He ran at her suddenly with a yell and made as if to tackle her off the swing, but dodged at the last second and jumped on one of the swings next to her, pumping his legs furiously as he rose higher and higher. "I'm beating you!"

[Alexia Vance]

Alex screamed as Jared charged at her, she didnt know what to do. But before she could decide what she was going to do he dodged her, missing completly. She sighed in releif as she watched him jump onto the swing next to her and begin to pump.

"I'm beating you!"

A mischevious smirk spread across her lips as she began to pump faster and faster. "I'll own you!"

[Jared Eaton]

"No!" He yelled, pumping harder until the chains of his swing began to clink together from the slack he created the higher he went.

[Alexia Vance]

She began to pump harder and harder "Yuh huh!" She yelled. She bit her lip as her legs made her go higher and higher.

[Jared Eaton]

Jared's swing was practically flying in a complete cirle by now, and when he reached the peak of his swing, which was about level to the bars which supported him, he would suspend motionless in midair for a split second before he dropped back down. "I don't think I can go any higher than this!"

[Alexia Vance]

She heard Jareds words realizing that she had been thinking the exact same thing. A large smile spread across her lips as an idea popped into her head. She let go of the chains and when the swing started moving forward she jumped off. She landed on her feet but ended up having to do a summersault because of the velocity in which she left the swing. She pushed herself up off the ground and turned to face Jared, sticking her tounge out at him.
