ECoJ Case Procedures Act |
| Posted by Duxburian Union - 05-23-13 04:08 - 11 comments |

This bill is an overhaul of the old Prosecution Procedures Act, which is truly awful and makes court cases in the ECoJ a nightmare. It also streamlines rights of the accused, by inserting them into the appropriate phases of a case and repealing an old Act of the same name. The bill introduces some major improvements, like allowing any justice of the Court to deliver a verdict, and taking away the strict time requirements of each phase of a case. Instead of fixed times, cases may be completed ...read more |

Dearest colleagues,
The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for a Green Europe would like to introduce to you the proposal for a Marriage Recognition Act. The purpose of this piece of legislation is to ensure that any marriage or civil union formed in one European Union member state is also legally recognized in all other member states. What this act does not do is to affect the national legislation concerning marriage or civil unions in any other ways. Members are still free to ...read more |

Mr. Stipe, a face not seen around these parts for a long time, stood up in the Council, suit immaculate, hair neatly parted, he gave off an air of cold authority.
Fellow Councillors, I come to you today with a problem concerning the recent budget as proposed and ratified by this House. Our Members agreed to a resolution as part of this Budget stating we spend €34.2 billion on our Military Forces. However, our Constitution Article XXIII states that,"Te voluntary forces of ...read more |

Fellow Councillors,
Although we, the nations and peoples of the European Union, face dire environmental problems, ranging all the way from the pollution of our drinking water to the global climate change, we don't really have any European-wide environmental protection regulation at the moment. The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for a Green Europe takes the matter very seriously, however, and to answer this concer, I wish to present you the Ocean Protection Act. I'm ...read more |

Hello Councillors,
I come before you with a budget plan for your consideration. This proposal has influences from Dr. Reed, Commissioner Callaghan and also takes into account some of your input from the most recent budget discussions. In the past we've failed to pass a budget due to a lack of urgency and so I'm here to put this at the forefront of our discussions from the start of the term. Failure to come to a passage of a budget in this term will likely mean we never will i ...read more |

We are now inviting applications to access the Arts Collaboration Fund of the Europe Union. We are seeking innovative ways for artists or two or more European countries to collaborate and be creative together. We want to encapsulate the true spirit of unity that this region has. Anatoly Keith stood to address the Council.
Councillors,
I apologise for giving us all an extra workload in the run-up to election time, but the UEC feels it time to propose a new Bill. This will, in effect, set a regional minimum standard for the rights of our consumers - so that wherever I am, in Europolis, in New Birmingham, even Neo-Venetia, I know that what I am buying is - within reason - safe, of decent quality, and as described. Other than being fundamentall ...read more |
