Glockport Naval Base
January 20th, 2012 21:45 Admiral Pirarucu had just hung up the phone and turned to his closest advisors. “That was the President. It’s to be war with the Imperial Oversector.” The men in the room looked around and nodded solemnly. Then the Admiral continued on. “Have all the preparations been made for the Eastern Free Fleet?” The advisors all replied, “Yes sir” in unison. “Good,” the Admiral said, “let’s show those bastards over at Dromund Kaas what we’re made of.” The deployed fleet (IC secret): 45 Corvettes 32 Frigates 20 Destroyers 5 Helicarriers 5 Aircraft Carrier standard 20 Attack Subs (SSN) 10 Cruise Missile Subs (SSGN) |

16:04 Things had gotten tense on the SSN Dachsund as it had gone on its reconnaissance mission to locate some ships of the DK navy that were patrolling their waters. It had narrowly avoided run ins with submarines from the Imperial Oversector. "Sir I think we have a reading on a ship overhead," Ensign Mariposa told the Commander. "Are you sure Ensign? Are there others with it?" Commander Bison asked imperatively. "Yes sir. I believe there could be other ships traveling with this ship. Judging by the sound the engines are making the ship is a Destroyer." Bison took in all the information the Ensign was telling him. If his reports were accurate this could be a good time to contact Admiral Pirarucu so he could coordinate an attack. The Eastern Free Fleet had mainly been holding back its position until greater intelligence was received on the position of the Imperial Oversector's ships and until the military had a greater understanding of the capabilities left to the ships after the HEMP missiles the DU had fired. "Ensign get someone to send a message on low frequency to the Admiral letting him know the position of the enemy ships." |

Admiral Pirarucu had received the message from the SSN Dachsund about the location of the DK Destroyer. The satellites had confirmed the position of the destroyer and saw that there were 4 other ships accompanying it: 2 corvettes and 2 frigates. They were part of the patrol enforcing the naval blockade and doing so 20 km off the southern part of DK’s Caspian coastline.
“Have our ships moved into position yet,” the Admrial asked another officer. “Yes sir. Our ships have moved into range of 100 km of the enemy ships so that our Harpoon ship missiles will be able to strike. The attack force consists of 2 Destroyers, 3 Frigates, 1 aircraft carrier and 5 Corvettes as you requested, Admiral.” “Good. Have you gotten an explanation from the Duxburians about the effects the HEMP missiles have had on the enemy ships?” “Yes sir. They said that the enemy ships’ technology will be very basic. Their radar and guidance systems will not be functioning. Therefore the weapons that require such technology will not work. This means their anti-missile defenses will not work and the only weapons that they have working are their guns.” “Ok tell our boys to launch those missiles now.” Each destroyer fired off 3 Harpoon missiles at the enemy destroyer. Each Frigate fired off 2 missiles at the enemy frigates, 1 corvette fired off 1 missile at each enemy frigate and the 4remaining corvettes fired off 2 missiles each at the 2 enemy corvettes. In total 6 missiles were fired at the enemy destroyer, 4 missiles at each enemy frigate and 4 missiles at each enemy corvette. 7 minutes passed. “Have the missiles hit?” asked the Admiral. “We’re getting reports from the attack ships that the targets have been struck. The status of the damage on the ships is not yet known.” “Ok let’s send a clean-up crew of fighters to get visual on the damage. Any ships that aren’t sinking should be finished off.” |

"Do we have a report from the squad that went to check the damage on those enemy ships?" Admiral Pirarucu asked.
"Yes sir. The fighters reported that our ships' missiles have struck their targets. The enemy ships took significant damage which resulted in being sunk." "Good." the Admiral replied. Pirarucu was pleased with this little operation, it had gone off without a hitch and should boost the morale of the Eastern Free Fleet. Little by little the Fleet would dismantle what the DK had to offer at sea. This would open up the floodgates to more operations, he knew, and in time should ease the advancement of other members of the coalition in certain areas. "Have our attack ships fall back into formation," the Admiral ordered. |

Remington Air Force Base
GTA 10 March 2012 10:40 PM Admiral Pirarucu had just gotten done a meeting with General Palladino and other military officials from Rhine Ruhr. Rhine Ruhr had sent out an AWAC to act on some intelligence one of his subs had provided. If the sub was right the AWAC would find some enemy ships that could be eliminated through joint attack. It was important for the coalition to start gaining some more favorable position in the Caspian Sea to better oppose the Imperial oversector's forces. "Get some of our ships on the move," ordered the Admiral to one of his men. The man promptly called into the attack group the Admiral had designated for this joint mission. He was almost certain this intel was good and he wanted to be ready to go when he got confirmation from the birds from The Ascension (RR Air Force). Ships deployed heading in the general direction our previous intel provided: 1 Aircraft Carrier 4 Destroyers 8 Corvettes 8 Frigates 4 SSN (general vicinity not necessarily moving with the surface ships) 2 SSGN (general vicinity not necessarily moving with the surface ships) Remington Air Force Base GTA 10 March 2012 11:58 PM "Sir, General Palladino has just received word from the AWAC he sent out. They have the position of those enemy ships. Our boys were right about the positioning. The Dromund Kaas Navy has 1 Destroyer, 2 Frigates and 3 Corvettes at that location," one of the Admiral's top advisers informed him. "Good. Get those exact coordinates to our boys out at sea. Let them know they can't engage until the Ascension runs their air strike first. We have to save some of the fun for our Rhinian friends ." The Caspian Sea 11 March 2012 3:05 AM The attack squad of the Fleet of the Free People had moved into its ordered position. It appeared as though their movements had gone largely undetected by the DK ships. This was no surprise though due to the severe reduction in capabilities the DU hemp missile strikes left much of the DK military with. Only 30 km away from the enemy, the ships waited anxiously for the signal from the Ascension bombers. Then a growing roar could be heard in the night. It must be the allied bombers come to get the party started. The bombers from Rhine Ruhr started dropping their plaid jacket bombs on the Imperial Oversector's ships. The sound was deafening and unmistakable. That was the cue for the attack squad to begin their strike. A pilot from one of the Ascension's bomber squad's called into the lead destroyer on the attack squad. "We have direct hits on most of the enemy ships. It appears we've fatally damaged 2 corvettes and a frigate. We had some hits on the enemy Destroyer but she shrugged them off." Captain Thomas Albacore had command of the Eastern Free Fleet's attack squad. "Get our other 3 destroyers to fire off two harpoon missiles each at that enemy destroyer. I want it sunk." The ships fired off the missiles and impact was confirmed by the bomber squads from Rhine Ruhr. Captain Albacore had 4 Corvettes, 4 Frigates and 2 Destroyers move out ahead from the squad to skirmish in close range with the enemy ships. As they neared the enemy ships they fired off their artillery and the explosions rang out through the night. Albacore ordered the corvettes to focus their firepower on the remaining enemy corvette. Likewise he had 2 frigates and a destroyer fire off shells at the remaining enemy frigate. And the other 2 frigates and destroyer in his skirmish squad helped put more holes into the enemy destroyer. During the attack some damage was sustained by the skirmishers but the objective was completed. The DK blockade had been breached and the Eastern Free Fleet now held vital position off the DK coast. Albacore sent word into the command base in Remington. "General Palladino and Admiral Pirarucu. We've done it. We've taken the position and all hostile ships have been sunk." "Captain what's the damage like for our own shps?" Pirarucu asked. "Nothing major Admiral although 2 of our Corvettes and one of our Frigates are going to need some repairs." "Ok, Captain. Bring the rest of the attack squad up to your position and send those damaged ships back to Glockport so we can get them patched up and back into action fast. Well done Captain, well done." "We couldn't have done it without the help from the Rhinians. They really showed their strength out there tonight." "Well that's why they're our allies. We'll be sure to coordinate more with them in the future. There is still a lot of work to be done," the Admiral said and then signed off. |
