Title: "The Time of Your Death"
Description: 5-4-06 Episode Discussion Thread

Wow, ok, great episode tonight! Interesting case, too. I think it's amazing how they can still keep that show so fresh after this many episodes. There were many interpersonal moments between the CSI's, too! I'll have to rewatch it, but I remember Catherine and Doc Robbins having an interesting conversation in the morgue where he made some comment about 'where was that [pill or combination of pills] on my wedding night?" and she just looked at him like, "Huh? Did I hear that right?"
I know there were lots of moments like that, but I can't remember them all right now. It was cute how Greg talked about his upcoming birthday. But of course, the Grissom and Sara moments stole the show for me. I'm still in major "wow"ness at the moment!
The previews for the next two episodes, which will be the two part season finale, went by so fast! Plus, make sure you guys check out the picture at CBS.com. I don't know if they've changed anything, but I know it's more 'clear' than it was last week. There's probably something I'm missing something.
So bummed to see this season end, I'm completely not ready. :(

I loved it, but apparently not everybody agrees with me. They say I just liked it cuz of the GSR moments. No duh, but I liked the case and the plot, too. It's nice to see someone who agrees with me.
CSI_Bones_FanGirl - May 6, 2006 07:34 AM (GMT)
Yes, the case was very interesting, a very nice twist. Of course I liked the GSR moments.... but the show as a whole was just outstanding! I don't watch CSI for romance, lol. That would be kind of pointless. But I do enjoy what little tidbits they do give us from time to time ,because for me, the show works so well because it's partly about the forensics and partly about the people and their personal lives. That's what keeps me hooked.

I thought the case was alright! I definitely liked "Roshomama" better case-wise! Like that ep will forever be one of my all time favorite CSI eps!
But the GSR-NESS!!! I was too in shock to scream, but dogs would have been crying my friends!!! I was SOOOOOOO excited! I'm still floating on a cloud cause that ep!!! GAH!!! EYESECKS!!! It was too amazing! I downloaded the clip from grissomsararomance.com so I could watch all the glances over and over and over again!!!!
I cannot wait til Thursday night's ep!!!
 ^_^ Annie
ETA: I've discussed this before on a board. I definitely watch the show for the forensics, no doubt about that! But I won't watch Miami and I'm only just gettting into NY and that's because of the characters! I like CSI because I have this severe love for forensics, but I LOVE CSI (Vegas) because I relate to and really feel close to these characters! I've been waiting years for Grissom and Sara to display the kind of open affection they displayed in this ep and it totally made my week, at least!

I loved the episode and agree with you Jen on the part that doc and Catherine were discussing. That was pretty funny.
I have to say, I really really get grouchy this time of year b/c I HATE when my CSI ends. And of course, they always make it a 2 parter. But then, I just pull out a box set and watch some older ones....
I don't watch New York or Miami CSI either, because I know the cast so well on Vegas and love the way they mesh together. It will always be my favorite!!!!!

Thank you SO much for posting where you got those clips, Annie, I've been searching for them. I just spent the last hour or so at grissomsararomance.com downloading a few. You made MY day with that!
I'm still giddy, too. I do wish, though, that we would have gotten something along with the 'looks', such as a dinner invitation... or... a breakfast one. That would have really been something!
And TJ, I hear ya! I'm that way, too! CSI only has two left for the season, Bones, only 2, Charmed has only two left for the entire series, so I'm feeling all stressed out right now. Why can't they stagger these things? Ugh, May sweeps, I know I know.
I'm hoping to catch up with CSI : NY this summer, since I've seen a couple of that one and like it more than Miami. Nothing against Miami, though, I might try to catch some of that one, too.
I'm like you guys, I'm attached to the group on Vegas, to the chemistry they all have... and there are other things about the Vegas one I like... the fact that I've been to Vegas and it was our last meaningful vacation, almost like a second honeymoon, doesn't hurt. Cuz everytime they show the strip, I'm like... oooh, look, the stratosphere! ( that's where we stayed, and my husband went on the slingshot ride on the top, not me, though, I don't like rides and that one in particular.. scary... they had the roller coaster shut down because of the high winds. )
Plus, what can I say? I identify a lot with Sara, I love Grissom, so the fact that the writers clearly haven't given up on the whole romance idea still has me hooked. Big time.

^_^ I loved "Time of your Death". It was so GSR-y.. B) I guess the writers got kind of sick of being so subtle... :P
I thought the story was great too. And I LOVED seeing Julie Benz! It brought me back to the good ol' days of Angel..
The guy looked kind of familiar too...does anyone know who he is?
CSI_Bones_FanGirl - May 8, 2006 09:29 PM (GMT)
Which guy? The one who played the movie producer was Judd Nelson, who's been in tons of stuff.
And yeah, loved the GSR goodness. Just wished there would have been something a little more concrete, like him asking her over for "breakfast".

AgentBooth - May 8, 2006 09:37 PM (GMT)
 Yeah, asking him over for 'breakfast' would have been awesome, but I think the writers just want to keep it "eye sex" for now. :P
I'm talking about the guy that was killed...the one that was having a date with Heidi. He looked familiar, but maybe it was just my eyes playing tricks.
CSI_Bones_FanGirl - May 8, 2006 09:39 PM (GMT)
Hm.... well, I can't place him, but you're right, he's probably been in other stuff before.

You are most welcome!!! ^_^
I totally identify with all of them! LOL! But Sara most of all...and Greg more than I thought before I started playing him on an RPG! I apparently write him well! lol!
I AM SO EXCITED FOR "BANG, BANG"!!!! ^_^
AgentBooth - May 9, 2006 02:46 AM (GMT)
GSR moments were really good this week, so I hope that next week ((Warning: Spoilers for this week below:))
they don't shoot Sara (since one of them is supposed to get shot)...that would do terrible and wonderful things in the GSR world.
((End spoiler))

I am really looking forward to the season finale, although I hate that they make it a 2 part. Uggggh. Always keeps me waiting!!! I also hate to see the season come to the end. I always have to have my CSI fix. Crime dramas/foresenics are like a drug for me... :cheesy:
dontcallmeBones - June 28, 2006 11:21 PM (GMT)
I've only just seen this one since i only recently started watching CSI (Praise Living TV for showing it every night :D, goddamn i need daily CSI fixes!) and i really liked it! Although i must ashamedly admit that its probably due to the GSR content. 'Eyesecks' as you call it, (lmao!) And lots of it! Nice for the shippers to get something not so subtle.
The case was actually pretty cool, too (i totally recognise the vic, aswell).
Whilst im here, gotta say i just saw part one of Grave Danger (im catching up on both series 5 & 6) and i cant wait too see the second part... the idea of being buried alive scares the hell out of me, so slap on some typical tarantino suspense and im doomed! At least i only gotta wait til tomorrow...
