Once your character has been approved, please post your profile here. See "Character Requirements" for a template for your profiles.

Post a picture or two of your character if you have one. There will be a separate thread just for pictures, as well. I suggest you open a Photobucket Album or similar free photo uploading service to host your pictures. Don't use direct links to any sites on the 'net, since those links often change, and then you don't have your pics anymore. If you want me to help ya with this, just let me know, I'd be more than happy to.

**Note :: I don't know how quickly people will join this rpg, so if we need certain characters in order to get the story moving, they might get written as NPC's, or non-player characters, until someone wants to claim them and make them their very own. ( Aww, sounds so cute and cuddly, doesn't it? )

After you post your profile in this thread, I'll check it out real quick and okay it. If I have any questions, I'll either post them in here or just ask you in instant messaging for clarification.

Name :: Sara Sidle

Age :: 33

Affiliation :: Crime Scene Investigator Level 3, Las Vegas Crime Lab

Specialty :: Element analysis

Background Info ::

"Sara came to Las Vegas primarily because one person asked her to: Gil Grissom. What Sara's past relationship with Grissom has been is one of the mysteries of her character, and all we really know is that she was a student of his at one point. When she arrives in Vegas, however, Grissom informs her that he has "so many unanswered whys". Sara looks away and says that "the only why that matters now is why Warrick Brown left that scene." Sara's face usually gives away more than her words, and averting her eyes is a sure sign that something's going on. It seems from this little exchange that something happened, or almost happened, between them at one point, but four or so years later we don't know what that was.

They've had an interesting relationship over the years. Whether you're a Grissom/Sara shipper or not - (and I am) - it's hard to deny that there's always been an element of something more than platonic between them. Grissom's interest, or lack of interest, or problem with expressing and dealing with interest in Sara - yes, I'm confused too - have had, and probably will continue to have, a huge affect on her life. "
(thanks to Astralis and her blog essay on Sara Sidle for that part, I couldn't say it better myself, so I didn't.)

Sara grew up in the San Francisco, California area. She had a troubled and traumatic childhood, being the only daughter of an abusive father and a mother who eventually couldn't take it anymore and murdered him. Sara grew up in foster care. It left an indellible mark on her life.

She went to Harvard, got a degree, did post graduate studies in forensics, and ended up eventually working in the San Francisco Crime Lab. That is, until Gil Grissom called her and asked her to help him out in Las Vegas, and she's been there ever since.

Due to extended absence from the site and from the rpg, the part of Greg has been given to Necrophila.Americana.

Name :: Greg Sanders

Gender :: Male

Age ::

Affiliation :: Las Vegas Crime Lab.

Specialty :: His specialty is DNA analysis but a year ago he moved to field

Background Info ::

Since greg was little he's always been interested in science. He always got the kids chem set and anything science related. Even through elementary middle and high school, people told him science is for the nerds.

Greg continued on with his passion in science. He always found time for girls, flirting,dating and partying no matter how wrapped up in science he was. Though people considred hima nerd because of his love for science.

Through college Greg majored in forensics and his love for science always grew. When he got a job at CSI in Vegas he absolutly loved it. In the years he's been there he became friends with his team, and even developed a crush on Sara Sidle, but all can change.

He started as DNa but in the last year he switched to feild.

I like your profile. Greg is always fun, and his character is changing the most of any of them on the show right now, so it should be interesting!

Name: MacCanna(sp?) 'Mac' Taylor

Age: mid-40s

Affiliation: Lead Crime Scene Investigator, New York CSI. Official Detective Lieutenant

Specialty: Field, seems to also specialize in weapons analysis

Background: Grew up in Chicago,Former Marine, now heads an NY CSI unit with Stella Bonesera. Up until 2001, he was married to Claire, but she died on Sept.11th. He's lately started to lighten up on the broodiness caused by his grieving in this last season but is still dealing with it. He seems to like dog shows and recently was seen playing his bass after hours. He is also something of a fingerprint expert according to the novel but I don't know if it was said onscreen. He can be a sort of guiding figure to younger team members like Lindsey and does have a sort of family vibe with the crew. You don't want to get on his angry side though because he will get into your face. IE a recent ep had him really annoyd with a suspect and he let them have it-controlled of course but he was still intimidating.

Name: Stella Bonasera
Age: probably early 30s
Female
Affiliation: New York CSI unit, partnered with Det.Mac Taylor. Detective First Grade
Specialty: field, I think. I'm not sure if there's more, but I'll double check and add it when I find it.
Background: Childhood wise, She grew up in an orphange. As for her recent background, she's been reprimanded several times for agressive interrogation techniques. She's a strong, independent type who's had to look out for herself most of her life. She is currently dating a guy named Frankie though we see little of him. IIRC, the character may be able to speek Greek, as the actress does but I'm not positive.

Name :: Gil Grissom

Gender :: Male

Age :: 48

Affiliation :: LVPD

Specialty :: Entomology

Background Info :: Gil Grissom was the youngest coroner in the history of L.A. County at age 22. Eight years later, a headhunter recruited him to run the Field Services office in Las Vegas. Grissom has spent the last 15 years helping Las Vegas move from #14 to #2 in the U.S. Crime Lab rankings.

Born in Marina Del Ray, California, he lived with his mother and father until they split when he was five. At age nine, he began riding his bike out to the beach every day to collect dead seagulls, opossums, and anything else he could find. He would bring the remains home and conduct autopsies, slowly teaching himself the ins and outs of death. As a teenager, Grissom became known to local authorities, who employed him for quick autopsies on dead animals such as cats and dogs. By age sixteen, Grissom was an "unofficial intern" for the L.A. County morgue. He worked his way through college and then went to work full time as the youngest coroner in the history of L.A. County. His philosophy about his work has always been: "If you want to learn about forensics, master everything else first." While others may have a reason for being a CSI, for Grissom the job is not about choice. Grissom could no more work in another profession than a fish could stop swimming. CSI is not a job for Grissom, it's an expression of who he is as a person, the perfect synthesis of personality and profession.

Name :: Nick Stokes

Gender :: Male

Height :: 5'10"

Weight :: 155 lbs

Age :: born August 18, 1971, so that would make him 34 years old.

Affiliation :: Las Vegas Crime Lab – rank of CSI Level 3, Swing Shift Team

Specialty :: Hair and fiber analysis

Background Info ::

The last child in a family of seven, Nick was born into law enforcement. His father was recently appointed to the Texas State Supreme Court, and his mother has been a public defender for her entire adult life. With an older brother and five sisters, Nick has strong family relationships and finds it easy to get along with others. As a CSI, he is objective, although he does easily lose his cool when dealing with crimes against children. This attitude is most likely caused by his own experience at the age of nine with a replacement babysitter.

He loves his family and the respect that his family name generates in his home of Texas, but he made a conscious choice to move to Las Vegas to build his own future on his own merits.
