The X-Files A show that is often cited by the creator of "Bones", Hart Hanson, as well as the cast, as being a contributor to the formula being used on "Bones", not to mention the whole "relationship" between Mulder and Scully, which was referenced in the Pilot episode of "Bones". Crime really does pay Yes, shows and movies about crime have existed as long as there has been television, even longer. Old Westerns revolved around the whole good versus evil fight and the triumph of justice. But the journey didn't stop with the cowboys. We've had shows/movies about cops, lawyers, private detectives, coroners, doctors, scientists, adventurers, and now we have a whole new genre of procedural forensics shows.
