Okay, I bet there are a few folks around here who have a camera and actually use it from time to time, so why not share some of your pictures with the rest of us?

Here's one from my collection, picked just for the "cuteness factor". All sorts of comments welcome, and please add some more pictures in this thread, so this little duckling and me won't feel too lonely here. wink.gif

Squee!

That was totally undignified and I did not do that. No, not me.

I'm no judge of photography at all, but it looks like a pretty good photo to me.

I'm no photographer either, but occasionally I'll pull out a camera and once or twice, by total fluke, I'll actually get something kind of nice (well, I think it is, anyway). I took this picture probably a couple of years ago, to illustrate to a certain someone just how much snow we were getting, and I actually kind of like how it turned out.

Oh, and for the observant - one of these things is not like the other. Ten points to the person who spies what I'm talking about. wink.gif

Interesting photo, Lyn. Makes me wonder what exposure time and shutter speed you used (or should I say what your camera used?). And well, that does look like a lot of snow. But I guess I'll have to earn my ten points another day, unless you mean that square thingy in the center of the picture.

And no, don't worry, I didn' hear that squee. I mean, you giving a squee... how unthinkable is that?

I, uh, well, err. I have no idea. I just kind of opened my front door and pushed the button.

Yeah, we probably got about two feet of snow that night, if I recall correctly.

XD

Yes, actually. I didn't post the original picture because it would've stretched the page cause it's huge (I actually used it as a wallpaper for a while) but yeah, the light was reflecting off the "no dogs allowed" sign across the street.

Yes. Unthinkable. Totally. It's me, right?

Nice! I might have cropped it a bit to focus more on the sun and the building on the right, but not bad at all IMO. smile.gif

Heh! If you carry your camera around with you that's a pretty good start to photography IMNSHO. biggrin.gif

And I'd say those other images aren't bad at all either. I think you have a good eye for a motive. I especially like the second of the "hometown" pictures. It really conveys a sense of place, of being there and showing the essence of this town.

And another one of mine. Insects can be such difficult subjects, but I think luck was with me that day.

Some nice pictures there Hayz. And yes, bees are actually pretty cute little buggers when you look at 'em close up.
