"Oh, there isn't" asked Selene, then listened careful to the tall blond's reply. He was very handsome, it was almost hard to listen to him for two long without starting to imagine useing him as a charcter in a short story. But Selene remined herself that he was far to old for her to be admireing and when back to listening.
"Oooo, keycards you say? Sounds techinal. But thank you for the help. Sure we can get going," she said taking a small step tward him to show she was ready to follow him.

On Confidence: "Confidence? Funny thing about that, you'd imagine it would be one of the few things someone can't take from you. But in reality it is easly stolen, even from someone like me. Guard your confidence, because without it you'd be a shell of yourself, one that is easily filled with something- less desirable." - Selene Copperfield, First Year

"No problem," Jarek answered. "We can go to the girls' dorm first." He shouldered his backpack and grabbed his duffle bag and grinned a little. "I have carried my bags from the train station to here, I can carry them around a bit longer."
As they started walking he gently, almost imperceptibly, shook his head to himself. He was under the impression that Selene didn't bother much about technology, and that baffled him a little. Even given magic, technology could make one's life so much easier.
"Lorne," he asked, "those keycards, where will we need them? If someone opens a door for me I do not want find myself in place where I can not get out on my own."

Lorne shrugged. "I suppose, but they're easy to use. You just swipe your card, enter the code that you'll get with it, and you're in." He headed down the hall, keeping half an eye on the space in front of him, but his attentioned turned mostly towards Jarek now. "Into the dorms, and they'll also get you into the main building once we've locked up for the night. You don't need to worry about getting locked in anywhere, though."
OOC: Thought about taking this right to the girl's dorms, but figured I'd give it a little bit more chance for conversation.

I’m with you once more under the stars; And down by the shore an orchestra's playing...
To live it again is past all endeavor, Except when the tune clutches my heart, And there we are, swearing to love forever, And promising never,

Jarek looked around a little while Lorne explained about the keycards, his attention divided between the blond student and the corridors and halls they passed through. It was an impressive building, and Jarek wondered how long it had been here. Had the Academy existed for long, or maybe just moved into an older building? Four Points didn't quite strike him as a modern complex so far, keycards or no keycards.
When Lorne finished, he paid closer attention again and tried to recall every word that had been said. "So once we have the keycards we can come and go whenever we like? That's good." Jarek grinned.
"I am used to getting up early. Going out for fresh air before the day starts is a good way to wake up fully."
