Well i'll get the ball rolling seeing as myself and Mem were in the middle of this conversation. The 2 big things we'd came up with transforms (duh) and their impact on the hype for the game, and alternate costumes, ones we'd like to see, in what tones ect. so take it away rolleyes.gif

Well if transformations (in-game) are not visible within Tenkaichi that would cut a huge slice in the big 60+ character roaster, This would also include fusion characters like Vegito, Gotenks, Gogeta e.t.c.

In my honest opinon the game does look sweet, seperate characters in there transformed status does seem daft not to mention pointless, fan's are obviously uncomfortable with the situation, a natural force of habit since every other game featured in-game transformations and was true to the anime itself.
Fans want something that sticks close to the show as possible (duh)

Atari/Spike have promised a huge improvement within Tenkaichi's structure with free roaming environments, destructable arenas, an elegant storyline that is to compare to the first Budokai engine e.t.c.
But if fusions and transformations are seperate characters... thats a sturdy start lol

Well alot of their forward steps sound pretty exciting, but if the ingame transforms are really gone then that really is going to be taking a step backwards, i cant see any good reason for leaving them out so im hoping this is just a pointless worry and the evidence for transforms will be shown soon in a new vid

On the subject of costumes, its a little concerning that Gokus attire doesnt shift with his move to SS3. Im more worried tho that he needs his topless outfit from the Frieza fight and his Saiyan armour costume

On the whole of course the game looks great, plenty of powerful guys and new henchmen characters like Jeice and the return of Zarbon and Dodoria. Combat system will be different but i think it'll work out and the arena and character damage is starting to look spot on

Goku's topless look was only in Budokai 1's story if i remember correctly, lol why did they fail to produce this in the following titles? lol

Hopefully this major flaw with Goku's appearance in transformed states is just early versions of the final product.... i hope lol

The game itself does seem to be filling in those vital gaps which desperately needed to be resolved since Budokai 2. YAY

stepping up the ladder slightly, "characters" at friggin last we are beginning to see glimpses of more GT content.
As we are all aware Super 17 and Baby Vegeta are now confirmed characters to enter the fray with hopefully some kick ass techniques to boot, I do hope they live up to my expectations as with many other new arrivals such as Bojack, Jeice, Guldo e.t.c.

looking good guys
(thinks about seperate transformed characters) hmm

yeh the topless look is probally my favourite of Gokus, he truly did make SS look something special. his armour too would be a nice addition. You never kno eh

The story sounds madly good, 60 characters and 60 modes so that means there must be some sort of GT story content in order for them to have story modes. Sounds in theory to be awesome if they manage to pull it off.

Transforms will be the big problem, some say it isnt really an issue but i assure u it is, why any1 would want to play a game where u cant transform naturally like u could in the previous 3 is beyond me. all SS4 lovers obviously who wanna be them all the time so they can actually win. The big hope is this game has the capsule system, and that has always involved transforms before

The Goku topless look is actually his third costume in Budokai 3. Just thought I would mention that.

On the situation of transformations I still think that they are going to be in the game because with the all the info that people have been giving out about a similiar situation that occurred for Budokai 3, and that virtually everyone wants in-game transformations that the developers must have the sense to leave them in.

whether or not to believe that was a serious remark or to count that as spam is beyond me wink.gif

There is no offical confirmation that transformations are in the game, the evidence points more towards there being no transformations at all. (everyone should know this)

transformations do not worry me to a great extent but then again DBZ games need to represent the show/anime in the best ways possible.... ah well what's done is done biggrin.gif

serious remark or spam? hmm i think we'll judge him on what evidence he can produce wink.gif
And the costume he has in Budokai 3 is not the topless look, its the one beforehand when hes battered by Frieza. The topless look from SS is the one im after.
And the new news from http://dbzs.jp/ seems to show that one character will not be transforming, and this is Baby who is clearly named Baby Vegeta, Shame really tho it is his coolest looking form

I work at EB Games in Findlay, Ohio. We get a monthly DVD to play in the store so people can get a good idea about upcoming games. This month's DVD had to do with E3 and Budokai Tenkaichi was one of the games they discussed. A member of the development staff said, and I quote, "The characters in Budokai Tenkaichi will be able to use character specific abilities such as turning into Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, and Super Saiyan 4." The man who said this was an American and spoke perfect English. No translator was needed. So there was no miscommunication. According to him, there will be transformations. As well, he said that there will be over 60 characters in the game. Can we drop this whole subject now?

Ok .... here is my proof n the same thing happened to my friend laugh.gif

Ah yes i forgot to add the fact we need the topless look from "Budokai 1" in my last post, I would edit it but meh tongue.gif , apologies to anyone who saw this as a mis-understanding.

My only hope is that the damage produced on costumes is in-game not just a selectable costume.

My friend works in.....and said....
hmm where have i seen this before? doesnt prove a thing sorry mate.
And im pretty sure the battle damage is cumulative from the damage you take in a battle, tho this is yet to be truly shown in a video, i hope so tho because as u can see from that damaged Recoome, this game has some kind of blood effect too

Notice Recoom's health bar, he's not damaged at all. I'm getting this feeling that it's only an alternative costume for everyone...
