Well the latest Dragonball Z game brought up two quite interesting scenarios, one where Raditz takes a hit to the head and forgets his mission, and one where Zarbons obsession of beauty causes him to leave Friezas side. It got me to thinking who was most likely to turn on their masters? A resentful previously loyal follower? The Ginyu, who only work for Frieza for payment? Dabura (ok i know he technically fights Babidis minion Buu, but Babidi turns on him, not the other way around)? Were any of the villains likely to betray or were they all too loyal or afraid of their masters to uprise? Whats your guys thoughts?

I think there were certain ones that would have "turned" on their masters.

The way i see it, Raditz may or may not have turned on Nappa and Vegeta, he was a very proud character, i wouldnt have been suprised if his own lust for power would have seen him take on the other two.

I dont Dabura could have turned on Babidi, simply based on the mind control, i suppose its more than obvious that his mind was weaker than Vegeta's in that sense, im fairly sure he was always going to be the beehive's bitch.

To be honest, other than that.. i'm fairly clueless, other henchman seemed almost dominated by their leaders in a sense.

I guess it really is only Raditz's eventual lust for power (much like every saiyan) that could have caused him to turn on Vegeta and Nappa.

Yeh in a couple of the flashbacks in the anime Raditz was stirring up the crap alot about Friezas rule too, and trying to tell Vegeta how he should be acting. I imagine if hed have known how to overpower Vegeta then he might have risked moving against him, but as Raditz is a bit of a coward at heart so without that condition in place i can only see him sitting there and taking it or carrying out an ill fated backstab and getting his ass kicked.

Yeah, that makes sense.

And yes.. an ass kicking would probably come his way either way. Not only would he have to face both Nappa and Vegeta, they would no doubt stop training over the months, so he wouldnt have been able to win in the first place.

Poor fella.

Well with an Ozaru transform he may have been able to ambush Nappa, but i think its only supposed to increase power 10k so Vegeta would still own him. Of course the scenario presented in BT2 where he fights with Goku alot to train up, may have got him going on the right track, but hed only have a year and even with King Kais help Goku couldnt outgrow Vegy, so still doomed lol

Poor Mc'donald's forehead guy :<

Ah well, come to think of it, i wonder if Spopovich(Spelling?) or Yamu would ever turn on Babidi? I mean, i know compared to Dabura etc they were piss weak but surely if they'd know what was coming.. they might have used the powers that babidi granted them to stop themselves from being blown up.

I dont know, like Dabura i think their minds were just too weak to break through Babidis control. Its a shame because after the Videl incident i really wanted to see Spopovich fight Gohan. They actually had some genuine emotion in the Buu saga that could have been made into a fight that wasnt about being *teh strongest*. A much missed opportunity that was

Dabura in essence did turn against babidi when he tried to kill buu, and with good reason, since babidi was treating dabura poorly and that moronic doofus buu with greater applause. we know that later babidi learns from his error and roots for goku to kill buu when he's in hell. this is a good point since dabura was true and loyal, which wasn't for his own good, and this same purpose was served when spopovich and yamu were killed. same goes for yakon and pui pui. these were all gifted fighters and they all died foolishly and in vain just because of babidi's moronic plot.
