The crow ruffled its feathers as it perched on the roof of the cathedral. The reflection in the pearly black eyes of the crow betrayed the existence of another in the abandoned cathedral. From his shades, he watched as the crow took off into the grey skies, its eerie screech lost in the winds of a gathering storm. A dejavu, a tugging disturbance amidst a placid state of mind. For, it was also at the eve of a gathering sotrm that Yosuke first met the hooded figure.

A month ago, at the Kaguya Mass Driver facility...

"For what is to come is inevitable" Those were the words written on the card. A busy walkway, a thousand fleeting shadows, and their eyes met. Nothing. An ominous voidness was in his eyes, the windows to his soul. Yet there was nothing, just a black tunnel leading to oblivion. The man slotted the card into Yosuke's pocket, and smiled as he left. The glance was brief, but Yosuke knew what it meant. He would be the one to unravel Yosuke's destiny.

Yosuke stepped out of his Mustang. Walking on the gravel that leads to the Cathedral, his monochromatic vision captured a scene that was utterly heartwrenching. A village where most of the youngsters were cursed to be plagued by radiation illnesses for life, where survivors dig the ground with bloodied hands in search for storage roots to feed their skeletal frame. It was a place that had a past but lost its future to the struggle for power that has been propagated through the years by the Naturals and the Coordinators. A forgotten realm in time, which spoke of life no different from that in the labyrinths of Hell.

Yosuke entered the cathedral. The place was dark, save for the shards of sunlight that fell on the piano situated at the back of the cathedral. There, slotted amidst the keys of the dusty piano, was a white envelope. An ironic elegance.

Removing the seal, he removed the letter from the envelope. His eyes roamed over the words.

Peace...the Seraphim...

The last words of the letter lingered in Yosuke's mind as he took off in the Mustang.

The scales of Libra shall be returned to normal...
