Regrouping, <Sasha, Alecto, other Death Eaters>

[Rabastan Lestrange]

Rabastan scowled around the room at the other Death Eaters. All of them, like himself, were using Bubble-head Charms to protect themselves from any lingering aftereffects of the poisonous gas Aldous Conor had deployed in the cave. Orville Brand was not in the room... he had departed, briefly, further into the cave to "retrieve some personal items". The others were, for the most part, nursing various injuries... Greyback's arm was still in the process of growing back, Amycus Carrow had suffered a couple of broken bones, Mongo Saeki had been run through with a sword and only barely survived, Natalia Dragomir had suffered extensive injuries from the roof falling on her, and Zev Yorkin's wand arm appeared damaged beyond repair. Rabastan himself had a gaping hole in the side of his head where his ear had once been attached, something he would have to pay Devincenzi back for eventually.

Rabastan finally spoke. "How the hell did they find us?" he asked the room at large. The unspoken second question -- Who talked, and how slowly should we kill them? -- hung uncomfortably in the air.

[Sasha Rookwood]

Sasha sat to Rabastan's left, cradling a hand that had obviously been wounded in the fight. She reached into her robes and pulled her wand from her pocket, waving it at her hand and letting out a soft sigh as the pain was lifted.

Shawn stood next to Sasha, arms crossed tightly against his chest as usual and a slight pout on his face. He hadn't had the chance to send even a curse in Ryan's direction before he'd had to regroup back at the cave.

He cast a quick glance to Korinna, who sat on the floor opposite him, she, too, sporting a pouty lip, being upset that she hadn't been included in the fight.

[Wyat Rookwood]

Wyat sat in the corner, a scowl on his face as he examined his broken leg and made an effort not to bump his wounded shoulder. His own glare deepened as Rabastan spoke. Someone had ratted them out. And that someone would be paying a high price.

[Miho Saeki]

Miho watched the others very carefully... her lack of ability to speak often put her in a position to be observant, and she didn't want to miss a tell if the person who had sold them out was in this room. Most of the Death Eaters looked surly, or downright angry. Despite her injuries, Natalia Dragomir was smirking. Miho raised a questioning eyebrow at the Russian woman, who slowly and painfully got to her feet.

"We have to assume," Natalia said through gritted teeth, "that one of the Death Eaters who was captured at Hogwarts gave up our location under duress. Conor and Frost -- and I mean the traitor Andrew, not the younger one -- have both proven willing to use torture in the past. So, the question is... can we narrow down which of them ratted us out, and if we do how do we punish them?" She sat back down, leaving it to one of the others to answer that question.

She figured that Elnore would leap to Mourant's defense, not that the masochistic goth girl seemed the type to break under torture... in fact, Atreya would likely enjoy anything Frost or Conor did to her in their quest for information. She also figured on the remaining Saekis vehemently denying any accusation toward Ando. That left Gallowbraid, who was a competitor for power with Rabastan and wouldn't exactly be sorely missed, and Flutergork. Natalia's smirk was because she thought Flutergork the least likely to be defended, and therefore the prime suspect. It would be a relief to be rid of him.

[Cerys Elnore]

Cerys scowled at Natalia from further down the table. She alone out of the Death Eaters wasn't bothering with the Bubble-head Charm; being undead, she didn't need to breathe anyway. She was still sporting some wounds from the previous battles, although the huge burn on her face was mostly healed, just a puckered scar remaining on her left cheek, and even that would be gone soon.

"I tell you now, Atreya wouldn' 'ave talked. She eez not ze type to succumb to torture. Trus' moi," Cerys growled, the last part mostly spoken under her breath. It wasn't relevant to the discussion at hand that Cerys had caused plenty of pain to Atreya herself, during their recreational activities...

[Naga Saeki]

Naga looked carefully between Cerys and Natalia, then said, "I'm sure nobody is accusing young Atreya. She seems loyal enough. And I have absolutely no doubt that it was not my son who gave us up. But we cannot prove who talked without torturing them again once we have them, and that is something only Rabastan should sanction." He looked to the Death Eaters' leader, who looked thoughtful for a moment, then nodded. The prisoners were to be interrogated after their rescue.
