Abel's nodded as she explained about the bases. That meant that they could basically forget about trusting anyone in the country if they got into trouble. His mind had moved ahead already, thinking about another problem that hadn't been addressed. Frankly he needed a bit of advice since he couldn't figure out a solution himself at this point. Sure the others might think that he was assuming everything bad that could happen to them but that was better than getting caught unprepared or by surprise.

"There is one more thing. We need to find a way to make sure the others know if one of us gets their cover blown. I was thinking something along the lines of a Protean Charm but I can't figure out what we can use it on so it escapes detection as well as can be used to inform the others of a problem."

"If any attempts to actually detect magic are used, a Protean Charm will be discovered no matter which object you put it on," McGonagall said. "But Dumbledore's Army uses coins, which will escape any non-magical attempt at detection because everybody carries money."

Abel scratched his chin as he thought about it for a minute. He looked up at McGonagall again and spoke, "I think Sebastian, Olivia... and Keith should definitely use it if they are not planning to go as deep as I might. They might check me for things like that. I could actually store it away somewhere and check it once in a while but I can't carry it around. Anyway, if I am discovered, I would either escape or I will make sure I am not left in a position to talk." He smiled slightly knowing all of them would understand what that meant. He had his Wolf to bank upon. He was sure that once it was out, they would forget about trying to restrain him so they can torture him to reveal the others.

"Ever since I got bitten by a werewolf, I've been outcast by friends, my family, everyone who I thought loved me for who I was." Keith began.

Everyone in the room would know it to be a lie - no one had distanced themselves, or at least no one he cared about - but he was showing from the off that he had thought of a story and developed a character based around it - a character he would be sticking to through this mission.

"I thought it would pass, that it was just the initial shock value. That after the full moon came and went and everyone's throat was still intact that they would see it didn't have to change anything. They didn't. The nights of fear around the full moon made them distance themselves even more. No one wanted to risk being near me when something snuck up - when I snuck up, perhaps. I had no where else to go, so I came to the only country where I might be able to blend in. For better or for worse, at least I can feel normal here. I don't have to walk around with the faces that once lit up at the sight of me now staring at me in fear and concern, or shying away as though I no longer existed, or them wishing that I didn't. Wishing that I died the night I was attacked. Here I feel alone, still; but at least I don't feel like a freak. Here I don't have to worry about the old me. Here I'm just me. Whatever - and whoever - I choose for that to be."

He had said it all in a sincere and somewhat emotionally strained voice - as though it hurt to say. In some ways it did - it was his greatest fear right now, to be pushed away by all those he cared about. He took that fear, though, and he used it as his strength for this mission. He could do this.

"How's that sound?" he smiled, his voice lighter.

"It sounds like you should seriously consider joining Drama Club next year," McGonagall said, impressed. Keith had injected just the right amount of emotion into his voice to make it sound believable, without putting in too much emotion (which would make it sound cheesy). She was glad Lucy wasn't around to see the performance... it would've driven her to tears.

Abel raised an eyebrow, then exchanged a glance with Abrianna as Keith went on about his story. By somewhere in the middle, he was sure Keith was making it up. Abel was smiling by the time it finished. He waited for McGonagall to reply before he chipped in, "Well, it will play out if you are generally this... sentimental."
