Too weak, <Summer,open>

[Trevor Gordann]

Trevor nodded. She had been here a long time. She shouldn't have to spend her vacation in a hospital. "You will still get a good amount of time to enjoy at home. But the sooner you get better... I mean get back on a adequate diet, the more time you will have."

He paused as he smiled, then added, "Then we can go out on real dates..."

[Summer Marshall]

Summer rolled her eyes. "Where would you take me on a real date?" she asked, trying not to look at the piece of cake in her hands as she took a very small bite.

[Trevor Gordann]

He raised an eyebrow. Trevor wasn't at all prepared for that question. He stumbled for an answer, "Uh..." He had to think for a moment then listed out some places in London they could visit. He purposely didn't suggest all to be eating joints. "So what do you think? Come on, those options are much better than this hospital...", he added at the end with a smile.

Summer leaned back into her pillows, looking up at the ceiling and grinning. "Anywhere would be better than this place." she said, looking at Trevor. She probably wouldn't mind any of the places he had mentioned.

(You think we should skip ahead to her release now?)

Trevor smiled and sat next to her, not watching her eat. He didn't want to make her even more conscious of it. But he was very happy that he was eating high energy stuff like this cake.

Two weeks later, the doctors decided that Summer was eating well enough to be able to go home, though they were going to send a nurse over every other day to make sure she was still eating properly. Summer was dressed and sitting on the bed, waiting for her mother to pick her up. She wasn't sure where Trevor was at the moment. He'd left the room while she changed her clothes.

Trevor went back to the room and then straight to Summer. He looked her over with a smile and spoke, "Wow, you are looking good. I don't see much difference at all." He was hoping that would be some kind of reassurance if any thoughts of gaining weight and it showing came up in her mind.

He looked back at the door and stepped even closer to her. "So, are you strong enough to handle a longer kiss now too?"

Summer grinned and stepped into his arms. "Just catch me if it gets too intense." she said, a wide grin on her lips before she pressed them to his. She was sure she'd be ok, collapsing was more along the lines of if someone were to walk in on them and scare her.

[Trevor Gordann]

Trevor grinned back. "My pleasure." He put his arms around her and just stared into her beautiful eyes for a while before he leaned forward slowly to kiss her on her soft lips. But no one walked in to the room as they continued to kiss. Actually, he was pretty sure that neither of them would even notice if that happened.

It was several minutes before Summer finally pulled herself away. She felt good, but still didn't want to risk too much. Her mom was still being a little too understanding to really believe what was going on.

Trevor smiled as she pulled away. "That proves you are strong enough to go home I guess." He looked back at the door then asked, "So is your mom going to come and pick you up?" He paused then added another question, "Do you want me to leave?"

[Summer Marshall]

Summer kept her hold on Trevor, figuring her mom could deal with that much at least, and shook her head. "No, you don't have to leave." she said, answering his second question, rather than the first. She looked up at the clock. "Mom should be here any minute, I think. She said about 3." A little frown crossed her lips at the thought, just because she didn't want to be seperated right away.

Trevor looked at Summer and understood why she might be frowning. It actually made him glad that they both felt the same way about the separation. He smiled and gave her hand a gentle squeeze just as he heard a sound near the door. Summer mom was walking into the room. Trevor's first urge was to pull away from Summer but he stopped himself and just held onto her a a little tighter. He had hardly been home for these vacations. He had grown so use to her company, her scent, being around her that now that it was time to let go, he didn't want to.

But he did have to. He let her go backed away from Summer as her mother came forward to greet her daughter with a hug and a kiss on the forehead. She ignored him completely for the moment as she talked to her daughter, "How you are you feeling? You ready to get back home honey?"

Summer didn't let Trevor get too far away, keeping hold of his hand after he released her from his hug. "I'm feeling fine, mom, and yes, I'm ready to get out of here." she said, smiling. She didn't care where she went, as long as she didn't have to sit in the hospital any longer.
