Aiko's discolored long hair was worn with strands of hair pinned to each other in the back. She untied parts of her green sleeves and pushed them up her arms, leaving her forearms bare. As she stretched her arms out, she spoke to herself quite loudly. "And I thought my life was already odd. I get some really weird letter and then after that a dragon thing appears with some wierd person and I come here. Oh, and they can't even bother to point out where this stupid office will be! So they make me find it myself..." She quieted herself as she put her arms down and took a deep breath. With a moment of closing her eyes, Aiko raised her arms and made what looked like a small version of a 'Safe!' in baseball. As she did, a dark figure appeared. She cringed as it became wholly there. "Ow...there we go." She opened her eyes and moved her left hand, left and right, forward and back, as if guiding something.
Surely enough, the dark ethereal creature followed her silent commands. "Now let me see if I can find the place now. Yep Aiko, you are a genius." She mentally patted herself on the back as she motioned for the dark figure to continue straight forward.
As it swept through, almost as life it were floating, Aiko continued to praise her skill. Until of course, the spirit dissipated.
"Ah shoot! Why did that happen!"
((EDIT: Oops...I used the wrong name. Her name is Aiko, was posting on another site at the same time with Isri's name. Not your fault.))

Among a whirring of servos and a hiss of hydraulics, a shiny metal humanoid came walking through the forrest. He seemed rather distressed and didn't even notice Aiko until after he had tripped over her and fell flat on his face. "Oh, Hi. Sorry I didn't see you there," he smiled apologetically. "I seem to have gotten a bit lost, you have any idea where we are?"

Aiko whirrled around as she stood back up, surprised by the sudden voice. When she realized it was okay, she actually noticed the person's appearance. "Uh...oh. Actually, I'm a bit lost myself. Just got here though, so I wouldn't know anything anyway. Erm, do you need help up?"
Aiko tilted her head and waited for response.
"Sorry for just standing there by the way. I was trying to figure out how to get out of here."

"I'm fine, really." Trevor righted himself in a way that was graceful, yet painful to watch. "I'm new here too, I was exploring the grounds and I guess I wandered a bit far..." He trailed off when he actually turned to look at the girl. He laughed at her poorly veiled look of shock. "Yeah, I've seen that look before. I'd make some bad tinman joke, but they usually don't go over so well." He coughed, completely unneccessary since he didn't have lungs or a windpipe. A railroad spike adhered itself to his forhead. "I'm Trevor. You got any string on you?" he said, pulling the spike off his face.

Aiko nodded, and untied the strands of her hair. With the while lacy string from her hair in one hand, she smoothed her hair back down with the other. As she extended the string to Trevor she tried carrying on a conversation.
"My name's Aiko. As for the tinman joke, they've got to be better than any of the jokes I've tried telling. What do you need the string for by the way? Just curious..." Aiko toyed with the idea of trying to summon another phantom to search for a way out. "Have an idea for find away out? If not, I have one I can try again."

"Well, it's not a very good idea, but a compass might serve us well." Trevor blinked twice, trying to remember wich way he came. "At any rate, I've got a magnet, so we can make ourselves one. He blinked again, it was more noticable since his eyes were so large. "Yeah, I guess that doesn't help us much. Ok, what's your plan?"

Aiko's eyes got one of those evil glints that are shown in anime so often. "Hehe, sure you wanna see it? It's my special trick, one of the reasons I'm here..." Aiko pushed her sleeves up further, as they had fallen back down over her hands, and she closer her eyes, hands by her sides. Humming a bit to help her concentrate, Aiko pulled her hands up and made a small "Safe!" sign, like in baseball, as she did before. She cringed a bit as a humanoid in a dark black cloak appeared. The ethereal being looked slightly phasey, and Aiko opened her eyes. "This one is a phantom. Banshees are more for attacking things, or as a light and sound device. Phantoms are my all-purpose summon. I can control them with a flick of my hand." And as she said so, she motioned forward with her hand, and the spirit went continuously foward. Aiko turned to Trevor. "Come on! Let's see of this thing can find a way out!" She ran after the phantom, still looking behind to make sure Trevor was following.

Trevor shook his head; that was about the second or third creepiest thing he'd ever seen. His mind was having trouble focusing as he took off after the girl, the appearation seemed to have effected him somehow. "Hey, wait up!" Trevor took off after Aiko, easily catching up with her in a few strides. "Ok ok ok, that was just weird and slightly disturbing. You gotta warn a guy before you go doing stuff like that." he said, more mocking than annoyed.

Aiko shrugged wordlessly. With a sigh, she smiled sadly and replied. "It still creeps me out. Always has, always will. I would have warned you if there were a chance I might get a demon, but that's only happened once. Or if I were summoning a banshee, I'd have you turn around and cover your ears. Don't want to kill you. And if you think that's disturbing, you should watch some other stuff I can do. Send chills down my spine just thinking about it."
Aiko flicked her wrist to the side, and the black apparition turned to the left.
"Anyway, Couldn't do that right now, the phantom would disappear. I have to concentrate to keep these things here, or they'll go back to their plane. 't's what happened when you came along."

"Well, I wouldn't worry about my ears, since I don't have any." Trevor lifted up the silvery hair on the side of his head. "And honestly, I think I'd rather not watch you pull any more spectres out of thin air." His eyes dilated, filters clicking into place behind the lenses. "Are you sure this thing knows where its going? I'm fairly sure we've passed that tree before."

Aiko laughed. "I don't find it that fun to, as you call it, 'pull spectres out of thin air, anymore than you find it fun to watch. Oh, and I can sense where spirits have been, and we have yet to pass that tree."
Aiko stopped as she noticed a small break in the trees. "I think we've got it!" Aiko started running as fast as she could toward the apparition. When she reached the spot a little ahead of the phantom, she squeal with joy. "Vonderful! Aiko is a GENIUS! Even if I AM an absolutely MAD genius!" She turned around to Trevor. "Tada! Now it should be easier to get to the office, or whatever." She looked out over the fairly flat land.
"Yes!" She jumped, and the black spirit vanished.

Trevor watched the girl's completely imature display of triumphant gloating with mild annoyance. Stepping past her into the clearing, he began to scan his surroundings. It was an approximately circle clearing, surrounded by trees on all sides. There was tall grass covering the ground, interspersed with wildflowers and some small shrubs. It was a nice break from the countless rows of trees, but ultimately didn't put them in any better position than they were before.
He turned back to Aiko. He didn't mind her that much, but her arrogence grinded on him. He had the vague feeling that she looked down on him, (he'd been warned that those with ethiral powers often consitered those with physical abilities inferior) and that was annoying in its self. He was determined to prove to her that he was every bit as capable as she was.
"Step aside. This time I've got a fairly good idea." he said, smiling. He walked back into the woods a ways, trying to whistle. Turning, he began to sprint back towards the clearing, quickly gaining inhuman speed. At about the midpoint of the circle, he jumped with all the force that the quick-spark hydraulics could muster and soared into the air. Sixteen seconds later, he made his painful-looking landing and began slowly pulling himself out of his own personalised crater.
