Winner: Leonidas of Immortals

In the largest prize contest in TW history, Leonidas emerged victorious in a first ever CITY UNDER SIEGE tournament hosted by GameSpot.

The tournament featured over 64 players, and very grueling 1 game elimination system. Two players reached the finals - Yellow Melon of the Brethren Clan and Leonidas of the Immortals Clan.

For their showdown Creative Assembly designed a special map - in a siege battle with interesting twists (unit placement, conditions) the winner would have to withstand the assault the longest.

The battle varried greatly in tactics applied by both generals, and yet despite a huge variety in almost everything they did, the outcome was only decided by 40 seconds in favor of Leonidas.

As a victor, Leonidas receives the largest purse in TW history - $700. We, Immortals, commend this example of our dedication, determination and honour.
