Haven't see the replay yet, but CW's core looks far more devastating. Also they have a nice compliment of cavalry.

The only area that they were completely outgunned at was missile.

Also on Ninjas... Thats a very unique weapon, especially in this format. The thing is, CW will know now that they are on the battlefield, though I can't really say that this is a bad thing... The severity of the situation can also be highlighted by the fact that now CW will have to guess as where they are.

In other words, CW will have to expect them everywhere at once! But TWR will have to attack only in one place. An age old military idea that can prove very effective. Will have to watch the battle to see how TWR were able to negate that super elite cavalry that CW had, and how they were able to counter that sea of wicked sword infantry!

Wow, very intersesting... and so much for the discussion.

In the most shocking upset of TLS series in general, Craftsmen of War are swept in the first round. I have not seen the games, but I have got to see how TWRs were able to negate all that heavy infantry and cavalry.

This game speaks volumes about TWR's strategical prowess... Their army is apparently was superior to that of Craftsmen of War as it defeated them twice. Of course, the same map was used, and one can't form complete conclusions, but one has to agree that if the same army was able to inflict two losses upon the enemy force, it was superior in command and composition.

Thoughts?

Just saw the game...

I must say "ouch". I don't know if Craftsmen had a plan or not, but this looked very bad from the get go in both games for them.

Their distribution of forces was not very good, with most cavalry stationed with one guy, Miv. This is terrible idea since he can't be everywhere at once with much needed cavalry, and that showed in both games - their cavalry superiority vanishing in mere seconds by a a sustained TWR push.

Craftsmen also seem to have lacked a general plan - I could not see whether it was a general frustration over not knowing how to overcome mutlitude of enemy matchlocks or if it simply inability to coordinate their movements, but their attack pattern were just terrible and disconcerted. And it quickly showed, as Tajl's army - this army can't seriously win a full on melee battle - actually defeated his opponent in second game against a frontal charge!!!

I am not sure how bugged the replays are, but TWR team looks more coordinated and far more ogranized, and what's more important - they seem to have a plan in their movement.

GG to both clans. This was rather an abrupt end to CW's reign in TLS series.

For anyone interested in viewing the games. I am not sure at the level of corrutpion in these files, but they look pretty watchable.
