Description: go ahead post your thoughts.
JFav - July 19, 2006 09:56 PM (GMT)
Im just gonna start this one off, let anyone that wants to voice their opinion and thoughts go ahead as well.

The Israelis are defending themselves against a nation that is operating with terrorism as their main export. It seems that Lebanon is run by a bunch of wimps who can't even kick these cowards out of their country...
It must be pretty shitty to get attacked by a country that you don't even recognize...
Assholes
vonVeezelsnider - July 21, 2006 05:09 PM (GMT)
I Agree Mike. Isreal has a right to defend itself in this case, and instead of the PM of Lebanon just saying "Help!" on CNN is not good enough. If the lebanese government doesn't support Hezbollah, than they should do something. Otherwise they're just harbouring terrorists no different than what Afghanistan was doing after 9/11.
Chris
vonVeezelsnider - July 21, 2006 10:36 PM (GMT)
But Callum, I think you don't understand Islam, the Koran, Sharia Law, etc... All That Would Do, is kill a whack of innocent people, piss off even more people, and give radicals more support, and ammo. It would probabally start WW3. I Hope you don't get into politics...
Chris
YevR - July 21, 2006 11:28 PM (GMT)
Israel is who i agree with. if lebanon lets these terrorists live in their country, feed them, pay them, etc, then they deserve to be destroyed. seriously who the fuck runs across the border, kidnaps 2 soldiers, doesnt expect to be attacked then? must feel like a noob wen u talk like a leet abt pwning a little nations, wen u get pwned by it (yes i kno abt my escessive use of gamer words here  )
Jinx - July 22, 2006 06:14 AM (GMT)
I say it's just another US "Damned if ya do, damned if ya don't" thing.
Michael Phillips - July 22, 2006 02:05 PM (GMT)
Let Israel do their thing-- they are doing a fine job as it is. The U.S. doesn't need any more wars...
The Mad Hatter - July 23, 2006 01:20 PM (GMT)
I know Isreal is open to defend itself but I think they're taking advantage of the situation and are taking the best of this situation for their own in order to go all out. We know they've been victimized in the past, thank you Britain, but my god, you can't keep playing off the 'we got the short end of the stick' so much longer in order to get sympathy. That's my thoughts, I'll just watch this thread explode now.
And you want North Korea off the map or both, cause one is good and the other isn't.
rudder - July 25, 2006 05:38 PM (GMT)
Mad... believe me Israel is not going all out. Actually I commend the restraint that they have showed so far. But I agree it gets old hearing "we got the short end of the stick" thing. Israel has historically done "dirty" work for the good o'l US of A, and it appears that they are doing it again. I say kick the shit out of the Hezbashitheads. :ph43r:
rudder - July 25, 2006 05:39 PM (GMT)
JFav... your a shit disturber. :ph43r:
Dave Sweeney - July 25, 2006 09:37 PM (GMT)
My honest thought about the war between Lebanon and Israel...
I'm against Lebanon. They use terrorist bombs and attacks, act like cowards. While Israel fight like they should. Missles, tanks, and troops. No suicide bombers.
Israel isn't going full-out because they're giving a chance for evacuations and the civilians to boot on out. Hezbollah is using civilian shields, and using every chance he gets to do a cowardly act.
Let Hezbollah be destroyed and all it's followers!

What the fuck? Barely 12 years old and already commenting on this (probably lacking any understanding at all of things)? There's another user who badly needs to take World History and Politics 101 to understand things.
Seriously Dave, do you have any fucking clue about what's going on and what the history between Israel, the Arab Palestinians and the entire Middle East is all about?
Jose O. - July 25, 2006 10:24 PM (GMT)
I totally agree, richie thats why i told him he is too young to make an opinion like that. I think he is 11 btw.

Dude, I watched CNN my entire vacation. I listened to everything the reporters talked about with the "Crisis In The MiddleEast"
There's over 5000 Israeli troops in Southern Lebanon
Israel has no intentions to take over Lebanon, they only want to get rid of Hezbollah.
Syria wants a cease fire, USA rejects.
Hezbollah gave CNN a close look at the damage.
Canadians and Americans are evacuating their people to Cyprus.
I think I know what i'm talking about
And please, no arguments
Jose O. - July 26, 2006 12:14 AM (GMT)

IIRC there are not many troops in lebanon yet because they havent yet begun their ground assault (if they are going to). USA never rejected a cease fire, but they never accepted either. its a no win situation. if u accept a cease fire, u get flamed, and likewise for not accepting. Yes you are right about the syria part, which kind of confuses me because syria helps Hezbollah. most lebanese like them, so that makes it harder.

On CNN it said that the States rejected that Cease Fire thing, i'm confused now
D-AERB - July 26, 2006 01:34 AM (GMT)
When are people going to learn that watching CNN (or MSNBC or Fox News to name another few examples) DOES NOT EDUCATE YOU ON SUCH THINGS AT ALL? CNN, like most news media around the world, sometimes blow the news out of proportion. And no, you don't FULLY know what you're talking about. Have you considered the humanitarian disaster in the region, which not only includes all the foreigners trying to leave the country but also the many Lebanese refugees who try to enter Syria in the hope for safety? Or do you maintain that all Lebanese are afiliated to Hezbollah and should not be helped at all? Think about it: not all Arabs are sympathetic to the cause of radical islamist terrorst. Islam is in fact a religion of peace and the vast majority of muslims want the same thing we want, which is peace. But thanks to some madmen and the big news networks, most people, not only in the US but also around the World, don't even know about that.
The Mad Hatter - July 26, 2006 01:38 AM (GMT)
I just don't trust the news much. TV news is all about ratings and you gotta blow it up to keep people interested.
My votes for the Washington Poste, good news.
Dave Sweeney - July 26, 2006 01:40 AM (GMT)
Richie,
Yes, I did know about that diaster.
Not everyone is affiliated to Hezbollah in Lebanon, I know that.
Islam means PEACE, while they are having gunfire and missle fire between them, that is something I do not understand.
Michael Phillips - July 26, 2006 08:43 PM (GMT)
Would the world be safer without a middle east?
Um, YES!
wolfpack27278 - August 1, 2006 05:36 PM (GMT)
The biggest thing that bothers me about the Israel Lebanon conflict is the fact that the US just seems like it wants to allow it to continue... Even after the attack on the UN outpost by Israel.
Jinx - August 1, 2006 10:20 PM (GMT)
Okay well what else will they do? Intervene with their own troops and make another 5 enemies by doing so?
Oh those barbaric americans!
wolfpack27278 - August 2, 2006 03:06 AM (GMT)
Well the Americans can actually put pressure to cause a cease fire, but America has no interest in doing that, rather we would rather send bunker busters through Prestwick Glasgow Airport...
Michael Phillips - August 2, 2006 03:18 PM (GMT)
Bunker busters through Glasgow? :bubbles:

Basically our old trusty prime minister Tony Blair has been sneaking these huge bombs through Glasgow Airport, Scotland, UK. They were disguised in a Kalitta Air 742 as bog standard cargo. They expect British citizens to trust our leaders? pffft... fuck that.
wolfpack27278 - August 3, 2006 01:50 AM (GMT)
Heres the article about the bunker busters through glasgow
http://www.upi.com/InternationalIntelligen...27-115807-2089r And if you listen to the BBC you will be sure to hear about it
Also for those who do not know what a bunker busting bomb is, here is an awesome article by the bbc, which has really cool pictures.
