Someone on the TWiT (This Week in Tech) comments section mentioned a condition that shall heretofore be known as "pod fatigue" aka "pod fade".
After six months of doing the same thing with very little interest from group members, those of us who jumped on the podcasting bandwagon are having a hard time coming up with inspiration.
It was almost a relief to see that not even Leo and the TWiT panel are immune to a decay in quality and enthusiasm. Leo and his crew are busy trying to further their careers but what is our excuse?
Are we the strange ones for wanting to make a home brew talk radio program? Maybe we are just egomaniacs! We still want our TechTv but nobody besides us cares!!!
Perhaps as the HAL9000 said to Dave in 2001: A Space Odyssey, we should just sit down, take a stress pill and think things over...
The fact that most of us have different schedules and there are various other important things that compete for our time is part of the problem.
We need a rest. We need fresh material. We need guests!!!! It's time to start sending out those emails..but first...maybe a break..this whole thing is becoming more of a pain and less fun than before.
Could it be the weekly schedule? Is twice or even once a month more appropriate?
