Brawl director Mr. Sakurai and EAD manager Mr. Miyamoto, both of whom talked about their forthcoming Wii projects. It was in this Q&A that Miyamoto suggested Super Mario Galaxy could feature compatibility for up to four players.


Miyamoto said that he was experimenting with ways to use the Wii-motes so that one player could control Mario and as many as three others could also operate some functionality with separate Wii-motes. Miyamoto indicated that he hadn't finalized what type of operations the second, third and fourth players might have, but suggested that they might be able to input something that would interfere with Mario's progress.
Nintendo has officially said that Super Mario Galaxy will feature support for two players, so that much is absolutely confirmed.

The graphics on this look sweet. I just hope the gameplay is as good as SM64.
