14-31, 137 Yards, no Touchdowns, two Interceptions? 41-0 loss in the playoffs? This Quarterback sucks.

Who is it?

Peyton Manning. In his fifth year.

Every good QB has a bad game once in a while. The difference is that Eli hasn't enough good game to excuse bad games. He's had more bad than good, so far.

I'm kind of disappointed by Eli. He looked good at the beginning of the season, but he seemed to only get worse as the season progressed.

Defenses adjusted to Eli. Eli has yet to adjust to NFL defenses. I still have faith in Eli to become an Elite Quarterback. He has shown that he has ability early in the season, amd I think that he will really step it up next year, and become that Elite Quarterback I was talking about. Eli's mechanics will improve drastically next year.

Quarterback's usually take until their third season to become Elite, and next year is Eli's third year. I expect him to become Elite.

Yisman, do you think that he is going to live up to expectations from draft day? Do you think he'll be an average Quarterback, or a complete bust? Anybody else can toss in their opinions, as well.

I don't think he'll be a complete bust. I think he will become a good QB, but he will never live up to the heightened expectations placed on him by Accorsi.

Mike Patrick, Joe Theismann and Paul Maguire, ESPN -- How is it earthly possible to drop from half a star to none? Easy. They used to provide a teeny weeny bit of information. Now they provide none. And they contradict themselves, often from one series to the next. I don't think they're really fully aware of what they're saying.

I think that he'll be an Elite Quarterback, and that he might win an MVP trophy or two in the future. But then again, my view is likely biased a bit.

Eli is not his brother. He might have a stronger arm, but it is nowhere as accurate, or with the same degree of touch. Also Peyton is the much smarter of the two.

Let's see.... where should I start?

Before I get to the game, we all realize that playing the game of football involves several parts that can never be ignored. Two of the most important are blocking and tackling. The Giants did neither of those and lost badly.

This probably is the worst playoff lost for any team since the Vikes lost 41-0 to the Giants. The offense was inept, the defense was comical, and the special teams was downright heartbreaking. While the theme appears to be blame Eli for everything, I have to put most of the offensive failures on the o-line. They couldn't run block. Then they couldn't pass protect. I understand Julius Peppers making some plays during the course of a game, but when did Jordan Carstens become Reggie White?

The defense was a joke. I knew in my heart that William Joseph starting was going to be trouble, but I said, "maybe he'll play well." Instead he was pushed around and Panthers ran up the middle like it was the Lincoln Tunnel. Tim Lewis had a good season, but why should Terrell Buckley ever be in 1-on-1 coverage with Steve Smith? Or Corey Webster? Or on some plays have a LB over him? I realize some CBs only play 1 side of the field in a defensive scheme, but you have to do what's best for the team. I know Will Allen isn't Rod Woodson, but he needed to be on Smith all day. With all that said, the score of the game should've been 7-0 until late in the 3rd quarter. Not that it mattered when they didn't score any points or even come close to doing so.

While the NY media is blaming Coughlin/Hufnagel for everything, I find it difficult to do so when the team couldn't perform simple functions like blocking and tackling. As far as Eli goes, I find it amazing he gets criticized so much. There were only 3 QBs who finished the regular season Top 5 in passing yards and TDs... Tom Brady, Carson Palmer, and Eli Manning. That's not bad for his first full season in the NFL. He's only going to get better.
