All I have to say is I wanted the Steelers to beat the Bengals because of the bandwagon of people who thought they were good to shut them up. Everything then after has been gravy. Win or Lose, I'm happy with where this team is. But I also would like to send Bettis out a super bowl champion.

I won't talk junk here, but Cincinnati with Palmer was probably the only team that matched up very well against Pittsburgh's D because they pick up the blitz better than any offense in the league. That aside, I like the Steelers by double digits.

I think it has the potential to be a very close game. I think the key question is whether or not the Seattle defense can do to the Steelers what they did to Delhomme and Smith. I don't think they can, because the Steelers have more weapons than the Panthers in the backfield and at WR. They also have a mobile QB, who also happens to have a stronger arm.
So I will go with the Steelers. If it happens, I will definately be happy for guys like Ward and the Bus - they are class acts that really deserve it. |

I think the Steelers have a better Defense and special team so I have to go with them. If the Seahawks can get Shaun Alexander going early and often, this might be a completely different game. Whoever can control the line of scrimmage and win the time of possession game will most likely end up with the win.

I like the Seahawks 24-20.
-------------------- How do Jeremy Shockey, Michael Vick, and Derek Jeter get along so well? They are three of the most over-rated peices of garbage on this Earth.

Anybody think this Joey Porter-Jerramy Stevens flap is just a hoax? Everybody in the media has been saying this has been one of the most boring SB's in recent history. Media Day was a total yawner. Could it be that Porter/Stevens are trying to make some commotion on purpose?

One word: no. People havent been giving the Seahawks any love. It's too "easy" to go with the Steelers here- just remember the Seahawks are a VERY good blocking team, plus Hasselback really doesn't make a lot of bonehead decisions. I like the Seahawks by 10. -------------------- |

On defense they match up well. They've both got playmaking LBs and decent secondaries. On offense Hasselbeck probably has more quality targets than Rothlisberger if he has to play from behind.
I like the Steelers better as a team and I'm more an AFC fan, but I think it'll be the Seahawks this year. I think it'll be a defensive struggle more than anything. Seahawks 20 Steelers 17 Stevens will score the Seahawks first TD. Then Bettis will plunge from 2yds out. Reed will FG. Alexander will take it in from 12 yds out. Brown will FG. Brown will FG. It'll either be an offensive who-dat like Vernon Haynes (love they guy but he's not a star) or a defensive score that'll bring the Steelers within 3. They'll be out of the game with 1:26 left on the game clock. The Seahawks will convert their first down and run out the clock. This post has been edited by marroncito on Feb 3 2006, 02:15 AM |

Not to homer it out here, but you're saying: Jackson, Engram, Jurevicius, Stevens > Ward, Randle-El, Wilson, Miller? Hmm...not so sure about that, like your assessment of everything else, though. -------------------- ![]() |

The Seahawks will win 24-21. It will be a close game, but I see the Seahawks winning the game, with Matt Hasselbeck being the MVP.
Now that I made my prediction, watch the Steelers win the game 27-6. This post has been edited by BrettTheDraftGuru on Feb 5 2006, 04:03 PM -------------------- Eagles fans are like Slinkies. Was Tom Brady wearing a velvet suit jacket? And get a damn tie like everyone else, lazy.
Joe Montana doesn't do the Super Bowl MVP thing. Weird. Kind of a dick move on Montana's part. Classy Jets suit on Namath. Pompous ass. -------------------- |

Jerome Bettis ran out first. That's the fastest I've seen him run in about six years.

Aaron Neville and Aretha Franklin each looked like they were about to eat each other.
Harrison Ford, Bart Starr, Roger Staubach, Joe Montana, Franco Harris, Jerry Rice, together plus football and Dr. Seuss drawings. To think, I haven't done any drugs. Suzy Kolber's weird neck is second only to Mick Jagger's. Freaky. -------------------- |

This Super Bowl is unbelievably (or totally believably?) dull. Mick Jagger's embarassing "whoos" at the end of the first two songs were more exciting.
