Title: Takato Aburame vs. Amaya Taihei
Aburame Takato - September 10, 2006 01:11 AM (GMT)
Pre-Battle
Takato stared at the sky as he walked towards the forest. He was heading there so that he could have his first battle, with Amaya Taihei, one of his teammates from Silent Homicide. He had challenged her for a battle at the forest, so that was where he was headed. As he walked he also made sure he had everything with him. He checked his holster and found his kunai and some ninja wire there. “Ok, looks like I have everything.” he said as he continued to the forest.
This was going to be his first battle against anyone. So he hoped that he would be able to do well in it and not lose right away. Even though he knew he was a little stronger than Amaya, he knew that strength wasn’t everything and that whoever had the best strategy would be most likely to win.
After awhile he finally made it to the forest. He stood there for awhile and soon Amaya was there too. When she came he looked at her carefully as he wondered what she was capable of. Even thought she was one of his teammates, he had never met her before and therefore he didn’t know how she fought. So both ninja stood there and stared at each other for awhile, until they were ready to fight.
Battle Start
The wind blew right through the forest as Takato stood there, thinking of what to do. Since he was an Aburame, he knew that he should use his kikai bugs to fight in this. So looked around the area and knew that the trees would be useful for hiding and that. Then he began to do some hand seals for the Kirigakure no Jutsu to create a fog that surrounded the area.
With the fog around the area, he could attack her without her knowing. So then he went behind a tree that he knew she couldn’t see him behind. When he was behind that tree he began to send out his kikai bugs at the ground in front of him so that he could create a clone of himself. So as the bugs went on the ground they began to create a bug clone of him.
After the clone was complete he sent out the clone at Amaya. With the fog around the area, the clone silently ran up to Amaya and then Takato made it use its kikai bugs too. The bugs went out of the clone’s body and began to crawl up Amaya’s legs. The bugs crawled all around her and began to eat away her chakra bit by bit.
Then with the bugs on Amaya, the real Takato came out of hiding and silently ran towards Amaya. Taking his kunai out of his leg holster, he ran up to her and swung his arm at her, hopefully hitting her with his kunai.

"A bug kid... Brilliant, that's going to be a somewhat awkward battle..." Amaya thought to herself on the way to the assigned battleground, not looking too pleased at the whole situation, but figuring that it would be generally a Much Better Thing to get combat experience in a situation where she wouldn't end up much more then hideously worn out from the experience. After all, when entering a career path that not only was likely going to involve a great deal of practice, but practically GUARANTEED a rather violent death, you'll generally want to hedge your bets as much as possible, in the interest of being in the ten-percent that live to retirement age, and retire as wealthy individuals, legendary in the annals of history.
From what she knew about the bug-kid, he had been at this a bit longer then she had... But not by much... He WAS a fellow teammate of the strangely named "Silent Homicide" group, but that didn't really mean she had any intention of going EASY on him...
Quite the contrary actually, smirking as a few plans came to mind. "Aburame tend to rely on their bugs to eat away at the target's chakra, and then follow up with painful blows... I'll just have to outlast him until he can't feed his own anymore, then I should be able to inflict some damage..."
She arrived at the designated location, and sweatdropped at his typical Aburame outfit, contrasting greatly with her own tendency towards the mantle-over-clothes affair, and bowed respectfully to him, though she also hadn't met him yet... Well, it didn't mean common courtesy was dead yet.
So many wars would be averted if a little of that was just exercised by men in power.
Kind of sad, really...
Battle Start!
As the wind came across, Amaya was already loosening up her hands, warming them up for the upcoming battle, only to notice a fog beginning to stir up, obviously caused by the Aburame boy's latest Jutsu. "Kirigakure, huh? Odd that a Genin's trying to pull that off... Though it may restrict my vision... It should probably do something similar to him." She smirked, and just as the fog finished forming up, she backed up behind a tree herself, and began forming hand-seals.
"Now, typical Aburame attack doctrine involves softening up their opponents with decoys to attract their opponent's attention, and then slipping some Destruction Bugs onto them at some point. While the opponent is busy with the decoy, the Aburame lies in hiding, and goes for a finishing blow when they deem their opponent to be softened up enough... But he's just a kid, and apparently a little impatient if he started off with Kirigakure, he'll probably try to directly attack me... So, we'll just turn those tactics around on him..."
Completing the technique, Amaya stepped away, leaving the Bunshin where she was, and attached an explosive note to the tree behind it, setting it to a fairly slow burn, but disturbing it in any way would cause it to go off on it's own.
After all, if he IS impatient, he'll likely wind up blowing himself up after "Finishing Off" the Bunshin, and if he isn't... Well, it'll serve for a good distraction, either way.
Accomplishing that, she silently sprinted a good distance away from the tree, put herself up against another one within earshot, and started forming handseals again, using the Henge technique to successfully blend in with the tree.
Now it was time to play the waiting game...

Aburame Takato - September 23, 2006 02:23 AM (GMT)
“Got ya!” said Takato as he hit Amaya with his kunai. Now that his kikai bugs were on her, he could fight this battle easily as they slowly ate away her chakra. Without her chakra she wouldn’t be able to use jutsu’s and that would give him the edge in this battle.
Since he didn’t know any offensive jutsu, he had to stick to all out brutality to win this battle. So with all his might he swung his leg at her to try and kick her. Following the kick, he would once again swing his arm with the kunai to try and hit her with it again. Since his weapon was the strongest thing that he could really.
Then again he was still pretty weak, but right now any hit on her would do him good, even if it was really weak. So after trying to hit her with the kunai, he would run a little far away from her and throw his kunai at her. With the fog around her, he hoped that she wouldn’t be able to see the incoming attack and that it would his her.
As the kunai flew at her he would continue to run, but go to the side of her and not the path of the kunai. When he was close enough he would try once again and kick her. He hoped that he would be able to hit her right after the kunai did, so that she wouldn't have much time to dodge it.

"STUPID!!!" Amaya mentally yelled at herself when her plan fell apart catastrophically. "Stupid stupid stupid stupid! Of COURSE they could smell you out... Now he's got a definate advantage over me, and I'm on the defensive again!! Cursing to herself as her Henge fell apart from the kunai stab, getting her to stagger back to get the big pointed KNIFE from sticking out of her shoulder, again, cursing her terrible pain tolerance, and began flipping through hand-seals again, crouching down low and stepping left in one motion to get underneath his kick attempt in the interest of buying time to finish up her Jutsu, and getting a devilish little smile on her face in the process. "So he's not playing his advantages? That's good, I might still be able to turn this around! I'm SURE he got some bugs on me, but he's burning out his Chakra dangerously fast keeping up that mist, and if I'm careful with my own, I might still be able to outlast him... Or at least chase him away long enough to try tearing those damn bugs off!"
Her last hand-seal completed just as he began swinging the Kunai, and she grinned at the last moment. "Nice try!" She shouted, and vanished in a puff of smoke, leaving nothing but a large log in the air to take the kunai hit...
Well, that, and a second explosive note attached TO said Log, ignited by the impact of the Kunai, and set to blow in a rather pretty bit of fireworks, and a clear showing of her general dislike towards people running with sharp, pointy objects in this particular day and age. Such a shame...
Her replacement however, didn't bring her terribly far away in fact, she was up in the very tree the last particular melee was taking place on, and was already dishing out hand-seals again, leaping down on where Takato was towards the end of the sequence, and bringing her hand outwards, the ball of electrical chakra materializing as per usual, and being hurled at the Aburame in the aftermath of the tag's explosion, willing to accept a hit from him in case the explosion failed, in the interests of dealing a much GREATER amount to him in return...
Battle Summary
Action One: Ducking and Sidestepping the inital kick (Dodge Action)
Action Two: Kawarimi no Jutsu to evade the Kunai Attack
(-8 Chakra)
Action Three: ((COUNTER ATTEMPT SET UP BY THE KAWARIMI)) Explosive Note on the mysteriously pulled in log.
Damage: Not sure, it's more geared to canceling Takato's Action Three through the concussion then it is to deal damage.
Action Four: Raiton: Raikyuu (No Stars, Normal Progression), IDEALLY to the gut while he's still unbalanced from the prior explosion, will just be a traditional Jutsu shot if the explosion fails.
(-18 Chakra) Damage 7.77 (8 or 7?)
Chakra: 26, leaving me with 67, minus whatever the bugs knock off.
Possible Damage: At least 7 if it succeeds.
