Title: Yurame vs. Levidar
Description: Shingu judge now
yurame akio - January 10, 2007 04:34 AM (GMT)
Where am I? I think as I come to. My head was hurting and my vision was blurry for some reason.
“Agh… What the hell happened?” I sit up and shake my head slightly, trying to get the blood rushing into my head. The shaking helps a slight bit, so I stand up and brush off the leaves and twigs from my clothes. I look up and my head stops before it reaches the normal eye level.
“Whoa.” I mutter as I look at the decayed town or village. This was the weirdest place I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen many weird places. The wood was rotten everywhere, it seemed that no inch of wood was not touched by some types of fungus, parasite plant or both. Most of the stoned covered ground was covered in moss and the places that were not, where on their way to being covered. The place looked like a horror story. I was a little worried as to what could be hiding in the area’s around here, but I wasn’t too worried because I could take off myself if it came to a fight. I looked up and realized that the whole area was inside of a valley. “What the…?”I muttered again as I looked around.
The valleys walls where jagged with rocks that looked like huge spikes. There where crevices everywhere and tiny branches from what looked like dead trees stuck out the walls. I noticed that every once and a while, a few rocks tumbled down the walls, like the valley itself was falling apart, like the town. “This place is creepy as hell. I gotta get out of here before something else happens. But, where the hell is here?” I decide to go looking around for a bit to see if this place has any living-and sane- people in it.
As I walk down the moss covered road, I notice that someone else was here already. I noticed that there was a water fountain, but for some reason, the water was green. It looks infected or contaminated, but considering where the place was, it was expected. I walked over to it and as I did, I noticed that there was someone else here. I looked at the person and I instantly recognized him.
The person was my teammate Levidar Halic. I had no idea what the hell he was doing out here, but I remembered that the team never officially initiated him. I had a ritual to see how strong the newcomers where when ever I could. I decided that now would be as good a time as any with the many different opportunities out here. This would be a good way to test him, so I walked over to him and stopped about ten feet from him. “Hey, Halic. I got a test for you. I want to see how strong you really are. Don’t hold back on me because I won’t hold back on you, got it? Alright, go!” I said, using my speed to dash away to the right, going down a decayed alley.
FIGHT BEGIN!!!
As I moved through the alley ways, I quickly wrapped a section of mind off, forming the ’Void.’ All emotion went away so now I could test Levidar without worrying about holding back now. I just hoped that I didn’t black out, cause if I did, Akio would end up taking over. I had to make sure that didn’t happen so that I wouldn’t go too far and end up killing him, but for now, I had to figure out how to test him.
Sliding to a stop, I put my hands together and made some rapid hand signs and three birds made of ice appeared next me. They flew around me in a circle, making a sort of shield. As I moved, they moved along with me, keeping the same one foot distance with each step. It was like they were a part of my body how they moved in unison with my foot steps and the sway my body made with each slight rise and fall. When I went through the alley, I saw Halic again and he looked like he was ready for this fight.
When I stepped out, I raised my right arm and the ice birds stopped moving and lined up eye level. I used my chakra to force the birds to fly forward at a blinding speed. They all moved at the same speed, and every couple of feet, they make a spiral and dipped and such before they hit their target. Now, to up the speed a bit. I thought as I moved back into the alley.
As I rushed back into the alley, I heard a loud creaking behind me. I looked back just in time to dodge a falling house. “Shit!!!” I said under my breath as I stood up. I had to keep moving or else I was a sitting duck. I had to get another attack in before he found me, so I jumped up onto of a house, wary of a collapsing roof. It feels safe. I hope it is. I think as I draw out my Longbow.
When I reached the roof, I crouched down and I laid the Longbow down the roof in front of me and I noted that the area I was in wasn’t covered by shadows. Crap. I need a plan. Wait I have something. I think as I make another flash of hand signs and suddenly the shadows near me start to come alive. If I didn’t know what was happening, I would have felt a bit creeped out, but I knew that was my jutsu working. The shadows started to move towards me and cover the area I was in, making it easier to hide. “Good.” I mutter as I look down at Halic. I pick up my Longbow and get ready to shoot an arrow at him.
I pull an arrow out and I notch it up to my right side. I take a second to aim it, and I let the arrow go with a slight twang that was barely noticeable even by me. The arrow whistled through the air until it hit home. That was just a starter. Now to up the ante a bit more. I think as I put my Longbow back on my back, and sneak off the back of the building.
When I landed on the ground, I reached into the scroll pouch on my chest and pulled out a small red scroll. I unrolled it and I placed my right hand on it. I focused a bit of chakra into it and then it started to glow. I dropped it on the floor and a small puff appeared where the scroll hit the ground at. In it’s place, a small, red and blue wooden dragon stood there. “Hey, Pyro. Go get him.” I say as the puppet runs off and around the corner. Before he hit the corner, I attached a chakra string to his body, so I could control each movement he made. I wanted this to be hard for Levidar.
When the puppet came out and stopped in front of Levidar, I opened the shuriken slot in his mouth and prepped a shuriken. The shuriken started to spin and I then twitched the string slightly and made the shuriken shoot out. Let’s see you figure your way out of this.

Levidar, Halic - January 10, 2007 11:26 PM (GMT)
I looked up. Still no sign of anyone. The place had an eerie silence to it. It chilled me to the bone and I liked peaceful quiet. But it wasn't peaceful quiet, it was the stale silence of death. It showed on the fungus covered cobble stones of the streets, the decaying wood of the houses, and on the deformed faces of the statues on the fountain behind him. Death was everywhere.
Then I saw the only sign of life I'd seen in awhile, Yurame Akio. He was a teammember of mine from Team 7, and was even in the new team. I could see the from the dazed look on his face, that he was as disturbed of this place as I was. Perfect. At first he seemed to take no notice to me, but with a quick look over the fountain, he realized I was more dangerous that the cracked statue behind me.
"Hey, Halic. I got a test for you. I want to see how strong you really are. Don't hold back on me, because I won't hold back on you, got it? All right, go!" The Duel Element Dragon blurted out in dramatic fashion. The he dashed down an alley, and receded from sight.
Trust me, I won't.
Battle Start!
I leaped backwards onto one of the statues, landing with a thud. I quickly began to make a string of handseals followed by a slow, steady release of chakra. With great effect, the surrounding became filled a chakra infused mist. I'd be able to see Yurame clearly, but he'd see nothing but my outline.
I then positioned myself ready to spring off the top of the statue, eyes closed, all focus on my hearing. I could hear foot steps and the sound of wings gliding through the air. But no bird could live in this valley, not even bats were down here. With my natural talent for making handseals quickly, I created a substanceless bunshin and slid into the water while the bunshin waited in my place.
As I expected, I found that in a mere matter of moments, my bunshin was torn to shreds by what looked like three birds of ice. By placing my trust in Yurame's newly hindered eye sight, he had hit the bunshin thinking it was me.
Crawling out of the water, I could feel myself shiver from the touch of my damp clothing. Brushing off the feeling I took a step forawrd. I felt a dwang of pain surge through my left arm as blood spurt past a lodged arrow. Damn it! I didn't even hear it hit me! I thought angrily. With a moan I tore the shaft from my arm with a terrible grin.
Smiling, I backed towards the fountain. I could hear a new sound, the sound of small claws scuttling on the cobblestone. I knew what was coming towards me before it was there. The team kept certain items up for use by the members, for whatever reason. One, that Yurame had taken, was a puppet custom to him. Sure enough a small figure crawled towards me. If I hadn't seen it before, it would have fooled me into believing I was actually staring down at a small, crimson and azure dragon. But now was no time to admire the art work, it was time to repay Yurame for the arrow he had so kindly launched at me.
I could see that Yurame ment business so I intended on doing the same. In a calmed flash of hand motions, the water behind me lurched out, right as a shuriken flew from the dragon's mouth. Just as the water took shape into a clone of myself, the shuriken dove into it. Just like a bullet in the water, the shuriken hit, floated in the now exposed body of the clone, and then clattered as the water around fell into a puddle as the previously solid clone fell apart.
I had a feeling that sitting behind the puppet would be the master, so while morphing the green water in my hand, I sailed over the dragon. As I rounded the corner, sure enough, a surprised Yurame was waiting, chakra strings in hand. With out delay I let my chakra reach out, pushing the green liquid into a long whip. Under the cover of the mist, I leapt upwards, coming down hard with the green water whip in an over head strike.
I landed with a thud, hoping that the whip had made its mark. Heck, if I'm lucky, there's probably some nasty bacteria or poison in the water that'll make 'em sick! I thought with a wide grin.

Yes I see this, and I'll get to it today as soon as I can. However, I have my own battle I need to post in first before I get to this. If this is not done today, then it'll be the first thing I do before looking at the rest of the site tomorrow.

Akio: Dodge recovers at the end of the turn
Lev: Alright now you and Akio have first person writing styles contrary to everyone else on the site doing third, yet everything you guys did was exactly the same. (The way you posted your stats, and your writing style.) So right now I'm okay with the post, but questioning whether or not the two of you aren't pulling what some of the staff think to this day Jyin and Kenshin have been doing. (One person, two accounts.)
Right now I do not care if you are or not, but just a heads up since you guys had the exact same things, and it's just natural assumption, don't concern yourselves about it right now though.
Note: Since people tend to forget next is Akio, then me again.
Levidar, Halic - January 12, 2007 06:44 PM (GMT)
(yes i know its yurame's post)
just to verify that your concerns aren't truth, i usually do write in 3rd person (check the before battle on my post), and i purposely set it up as 1st and in the same way as yurame cause i've never battled before, i figured that if his way was right, then i'd use, plus if i used 3rd i though it would clash with his 1st, no worries =)

Reaction to Levidar’s turn.
| QUOTE (OOC:This whole part is during my first post) |
Where the hell is this fog coming from? I look around while I try to see where Levidar is at. “He disappeared. I think my arrow hit, but I don’t know.” I think this as I jump down off of the building. I sent Pyro out and I heard the shuriken fly out and hit, something. I don’t think what it hit was human because of the splash I heard afterwards, so I had to go check it out, but before I could move, I heard foot steps behind me. I turned around quickly and I saw a green water whip coming towards me. Shit! I have to think fast! It is water, so I can freeze it, right? I sure hope so, or this is going to hurt. I think as I focus in on the water in Levidar’s hand.
I concentrate on that green whip so hard that time seems to slow down a bit. I can sense the chakra in the whip and it’s strong, but if I put the right amount of chakra in the right spots, I could make it freeze so that maybe I could use it for something else. I see that the weakest spot is at the tip, so maybe I could start from there.
Watching as the whip moves closer, I focus my chakra in on the tip of the whip and I send some of my chakra into that part of it. I feel a slight bit of force blocking my way in, so I pump even more chakra into it and I feel that part of the whip become on my control. I began to move along the chakra whip, moving at an fast pace, knowing that the whip would hit me at any moment.
As I take control of the whip, I start using Dominari Fujitsu to freeze the water, prepping it for my next maneuver. I start to break the frozen part of the whip away so that just in case I don’t finish the whole thing, I wouldn’t get hit by the entire whip. I began to change the broken off part into a shield and I place that ice shield directly in front of the path of shield and the shield gets cut in half as the whip passed through it. Aw shit! The plan didn’t work! I was sure it would! I quickly think as the whip makes contact with shoulder. I wince at the pain slightly before I use the opening that he let to knee Levidar in the stomach and to back away, just far enough to get some breathing room. |
Round 2!
As I look at Levidar, I see that he is already bleeding on his left arm. “So, the arrow did hit. I thought that you would have dodged it. Oh well.” I then realize that the mist hanging over the area is making seeing Levidar really hard. “God, why’d you have to put this stupid mist up? I can’t see a thing. I got to get rid of it, but how?” It’s mist, so it is water. I can freeze it like I did the whip. I think. I start to focus in on the mist, but it’s way to large for me to freeze all of it at once, so I just focus in on the area, about 300 yards around me, and I began to freeze the water vapor drops and make them clump together.
I then make some rapid hand signs after the area is clear of most of the mist is gone and I then make the clumps change into frozen birds. “I know that you know what this is. Oh, and your mist doesn’t work when I can just freeze it and use it against you. You might want to drop the jutsu now and save yourself.” I say this before I make the frozen birds rush in at Levidar, in all, there where about a dozen or so frozen birds all homing in at the same target.
When the attack hit, I then made some more hand signs and took a deep breath. I had to keep the pressure on him because I knew he had some strong attacks and I couldn’t afford to get hit by them. Waiting a second, I then pumped a huge amount of chakra into my lungs and then I blew out a huge fireball that was about ten feet in radius at it’s widest point. The flames didn’t hurt my mouth at all because the flames didn’t actually become hot until the chakra was already out of my mouth. The ground became scorched and what little plant that was there, disintegrated into fine powder. I knew that Levidar could dodge the attack, but would he? I hope he did so that he wouldn't get killed by this.
While the flames still raged on, I went though another series of hand signs and I pumped chakra into my legs and used the super speed given to me by the chakra and I disappeared and appeared behind Levidar. “Dude, your slow.” I whisper into his ear before I channel chakra into my right fist and aim a kidney shot directly into Levidar’s side. As he reacted to it, I hopped backwards about 10 feet and I unsheathed my sword. “Could you up the tempo a bit Levidar? I want to see what you can do.” I say as I enter my sword fighting stance, ready for the next attack.
