Title: Team Rivals - Kaguya vs Hyuuga
Description: Judge: Jyin

Kito Uzanaka - April 30, 2007 01:49 AM (GMT)
Arena: Heavenly Altar of the Seiru
A cylinder-like arena having a diameter of eight-hundred meters and a height of sixteen-hundred meters. The ground is composed of a hard dirt, at the center a large bonsai tree sits and stands about halfway of the arena. The tree is centuries old and lives as one of the ancient trees. It's wood is unbreakable and unburnable. The walls have various poles of different widths and lengths, all of them sturdy enough to climb and stand on without worry. The arena underneath the tree's branches is dark and barren of light, tiny rays have made it through but barely. Above the tree everything is visible. The tree has a large hole in which an altar rests, if at any time an inhabitant sways their hand over the altar, the arena will turn upside down (placing the tree on the top).

Prior to battle:

Kito slowly walked over to the battlegrounds with his hands in his pockets. He could not come up with a logical battle plan against his newest rival nor could he even finish the match as quickly as possible. His bight red eyes focused on nothing as he traveled showing that he was deep in thought.

“Hyuuga Hisoka” he said to himself as a mental picture of his teammate flashed in his mind. “How did we become rivals?”

The answer eluded him but he knew one thing for sure. This wasn’t going to be easy or even an average fight. His opponent was from the Hyuuga clan, which possessed the Byakugan. Their eyes were extremely powerful weapons on their own but to pair them up with other jutsu was complete and utter madness. In reality they could even defeat the famous Sharingan since they could stop chakra flow.

“This is going to be fun,” he said as he stepped onto the battlefield and smiled at his audience.

The genin stretched his limbs as he awaited his newest rival. He had never fought against a Hyuuga before and his knowledge of them was extremely limited making the battle seem even more exciting. While stretching his opponent finally arrived.

“Hey Hisoka good luck!” the genin shouted from the opposite side of the battlefield.

--------------------------------------------

Start of battle:

Kito wasted no time in attacking his opponent after the referee said fight. His slightly superior speed allowed him more of an advantage than he could have ever hoped. His extra training with hand seals allowed him to perform them much faster than before as he performed his first jutsu.

“Tsubaki no Mai (Dance of the Camellia)” he shouted after he had sprinted up to Hisoka in a zigzag pattern and was close enough to attack.

The young Kaguya genin pulled out a sword shaped bone from his shoulder before performing a strange dance known only to a few people who were not a part of the Kaguya clan. Though the dance was strange it allowed him to get in even closer to attack and also helped him to evade oncoming attacks.

After performing the jutsu he reached into his equipment pouch and continued his attack. Paying little mind to his foe he revealed a pair of genjutsu bells, which he rang immediately so that their low frequency could affect his rival. The result of the attack was still undetermined but Kito persisted on. He wanted to do as much damage as possible to his teammate while he could.

His hands clasped together once again forming a string of hand seals. The crowed seemed to go into awe as he lunged forward to his opponent one final time.

“Kaze Tama (Wind Bullet)” he whispered to himself as not to give his opponent the privilege of knowing the attack. With the hand seals completed the audience fell silent expecting to see the outcome but it seemed as if nothing had changed. Kito smiled at their watchful eyes as he finally backed off from Hisoka.

The genin figured he could pull one more trick out of his hat before needing to catch his breath so he began to perform the hand seals of yet another ninjutsu. He figured the technique could actually come in handy during the battle given his opponent’s unique qualities.

“Kirigakure no Jutsu (Hidden Mist Technique)” Kito shouted out as he continued moving around the arena as not to become a sitting duck. A thick fog began to spread across the arena reducing vision greatly. He hadn’t used the technique in a while but it was still as he had remembered it.

Hyuuga Hisoka - April 30, 2007 03:08 AM (GMT)
==============
Pre-battle
==============

Hisoka walked to the Heavenly Altar of the Seiru, where he had battled Lethyl Alyx once before. So he had the upper hand when it came to knowing the arena. Hisoka had studied up on Kito he was a member of the elusive Kaguya clan, the clan with the freakish ability to manipulate there bone structure. They where also Taijutsu users like his own clan the Hyuuga, but they lacked dojutsu the skills of the eyes, which gave Hisoka yet another advantage.

Kito was also a wind user which Hisoka had never encountered before, which Hisoka found to be intriguing for he did not want to finish his rival off too quickly. He had plans to patronize and toy with the young Kaguya before finally ending the fight. Hisoka wondered though how they did end up as rivals.

He pondered it Well it would be because every time he surpassed me I would always show him up, and the fact that we are equally skilled shinobi on the same team and both are clans user Taijutsu could also account for it. But meh I am still better then him. Thought Hisoka as he drew random lines in the dirt.

Hisoka stood up and smiled as soon as he heard “This is going to be fun” apparently he thought Hisoka just entered the arena or something. Kito yelled “Hey Hisoka good luck!” Hisoka yelled back to Kito “Yeah you too” then he laughed to himself and said “Your going to need it.”

==============
Battle
==============

The battle finally began Hisoka entered Mu and activated his Byakugan before he did anything, and just in time to. (For the Kaguya wasted no time when it came to his assault on Hisoka.) “Tsubaki no Mai” Shouted the genin as he pulled a bone out of himself, he went in to attack but Hisoka quickly used the Kawarimi no Jutsu for he had no idea if he was going to slash or stab.

Thus the cunning Hyuuga couldn’t call his tell, the Hyuuga re-appeared a few meters away. He didn’t even see the Genjutsu bells that Kito had pulled out so Hisoka could not evade the sound. He seen that Kito was performing hand seals so Hisoka fell back about fifteen meters, Hisoka’s Byakugan seen what was going on.

Kito was using his chakra to compress air into a super hard form, he noted that this was the Kaze Tama he had read about earlier. It was similar to the Hyouton jutsu Tsubame Fubuki, so he quickly preformed the hand seals required for that jutsu and using the accuracy given to him by his blood line and mu he launched the ice swallows at the Kaze Tama as a counter but at the same time creating just a few more for then necessary for the counter so he could get in some damage on his worthy adversary.

But Kito did not give up just yet before he retreated he attempted to use the Kirigakure no Jutsu, as the mist rolled toward the Hyuuga he quickly used his counter Fubuki no Jutsu to freeze the mist and turn it to snow before I could reach him. Thus giving him a better supply of snow for his arsenal of Hyouton jutsu, and stopping him from nullifying his Byakugan.

Entered Mu

Name: Mu (emptiness)
Skill: Passive
Rank: E Rank
Progression: None
Effect: +1 ACC to all attacks
Special: Doesn't take an action to enter Mu
Cost: 5 chakra per turn
Definition: Nothingness. A crucial concept in Zen Buddhism, and a goal of all the martial arts. Clearing the mind of all extraneous thoughts and connections, to exist wholly in the moment, freed of all attachment to life and the world around you.
Limit: None

Action 1: Activated Byakugan

Byakugan (White Eye)
Skill: --
Rank: -- (Born with this ability)
Effect: +3/-3 acc bonus towards all taijutsu and weapons/basic attacks.
Cost: 20 Chakra per turn
Description: Each clan member possesses the "Byakugan" or "White Eye." When the "Byakugan" is activated, the clan member gains an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. This allows them to see the internal chakra circulation system in other beings. This vision also grants the member a near 360° view of their surroundings. The higher the skill of the clan member, the further the distance from which they can sense incoming attacks. Unfortunately the vision does have a weakness, a small blind spot that extends outwards from their upper back.
Limits: Hyuuga Clan exclusive.

Action 2: Used Kawarimi no Jutsu to counter Dance of the Camellia

Kawarimi no Jutsu (Replacement Technique)
Skill: Ninjutsu
Rank: E Rank
Progression: None
Effect: -10 ACC to oncoming attack (Does not work against A rank attacks or above)
Cost: 8 Chakra
Description: Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themselves with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponent’s attack.

Special: Possible gain of +1/-1 ACC bonus over their opponent. At Judges digression.
Acc: N/A
Cost: 6 Chakra Per Turn
Description: By focusing chakra on condensed water droplets (clouds, mist, fog, etc.) the user can cool the temperature to that of 0° Celsius/32° Fahrenheit, thus freezing the water droplets. Because of this they may become too dense to stay suspended in air so it may fall to the ground as snow.
Limits: Must be a large enough source of water vapor, must have elemental affinity to Hyouton.

Notes on Hisoka's Actions/Roleplaying:

That was quite ingenious how you just turned his mist technique against him and manage to counter at the proper time, well we'll see how things turn out in the next round.

Overall Notes:

This fight is pretty evenly matched from the start. I look forward to future events. Also Hisoka, your dodge stat was affected by your use of the Kawarimi to dodge Kito's attack also you didn't make use of your last action this turn as it doesn't take an action to use passive jutsu like Byakugan or Mu!

Kito Uzanaka - May 2, 2007 09:31 PM (GMT)
Kito watched as a few remaining swallows closed in on his position. His jutsu was flawless yet Hisoka managed to counter it so easily and still attack. As expected of someone from the noble Hyuuga clan Kito thought as his hands connected in a variety of seals. His mind remained focus as he called out yet another jutsu, however this time imitating his crafty opponent.

“Lets see you get away from this one. Kawarimi no Jutsu! ” he screamed as his body vanished into a cloud of smoke and was replaced by the body of opponent. The crowd went into an uproar of excitement at the clever use of jutsu but the young Kaguya paid them no attention. He had regained some of his lost stamina and was on the prowl once again.

Running up to Hisoka’s new position he extended his bone shaped sword and attacked once more with Tsubaki no Mai. The sword seemed to come alive as it moved swiftly in Kito’s hand, stabbing and slashing at his opponent but the young Kaguya knew better. It was just an extension of his body and nothing else.

Jumping backwards out of a melee attack range he wiped the accumulated sweat from above his brow. He hadn’t worked this hard against an opponent in a long time and his chakra was quickly depleting. Shit the genin thought as his mind raced to come up with yet another attack.

Kito reached into his equipment pouch and pulled out a sebon. Making sure not to reveal the secondary weapon to his opponent he lunged forward once more keeping the sebon hidden. The entire time his mind raced with a solution to his dilemma but it couldn’t wait. If he were to come out of this battle victorious he would first need to avoid being a sitting duck.

“Kaze Tama” he screamed once he was in striking distance of his opponent. He hadn’t planned on using the jutsu once again but his opponent was to evenly matched to use something trivial. The pressure around Hisoka changed drastically but Kito continued on with his sebon in hand, finally revealing the hidden weapon. He calculated that it was too close for his opponent to dodge the attack especially with their reduced speed. Pressing on through his creation of changing pressures the genin finally released the sebon, throwing it at Hisoka. Its streamline shape allowed it to pierce through the pressure and make its mark onto the genin’s body. With his string of attacks finished leapt backwards once again, this time onto one of the tree’s branches.

Notes on Kito’s Actions/Roleplaying:

Not bad, but it could use some work. Also when making your turn summary please include the acc on each of your attacks thanks. Also the x1 or x2 scale equates to the number of stars you have on the technique to determine acc so if you only have the inital star your techiques will be at +1 or +2 respectively for acc totals! As for calculating criticals it is one and half the normal damage so when you calculate the original damage just add half to that value to get the critical damage value!

Notes on Hisoka's Actions/Roleplaying:

You got your work cut out for you this turn. You can still turn things around in your favor as your opponent has moved himself into a bad position considering the power of your bloodline so show him whose boss around here!

Overall Notes:

Keep at it you two. The people love a good clean fight!

Hyuuga Hisoka - May 12, 2007 03:11 AM (GMT)
“Lets see you get away from this one. Kawarimi no Jutsu! ” screamed Kito as his body vanished into a cloud of smoke and was replaced by Hisoka. Struck by my own jutsu… the bastard, but he’s came a little to close for his own good! Thought Hisoka as he noticed how close the Kaguya was from using the Kawarimi no jutsu.

Hisoka slammed his palm into Kito’s chest pushing him back, while at the same time emitting a burst of chakra into Kito’s body. Hisoka grunted with a smile as a bead of sweat ran down the side of his head. Both the Kaguya and the Hyuuga was knocked back but that still didn’t stop the persistent young boy from coming at the clever Hyuuga once more.

Kito ran to Hisoka’s position and he extended his bone sword with Tsubaki no Mai. Hisoka knew it was only seconds before he would get in striking range so he quickly formed a set of and seals and said “Hyouton- Hyourou no Jutsu” as he touched the ground with his right hand. Ice arose from the ground imprisoning him from his middle abdomen down to his feet.

The snow caused the area to white out temporarily but when cleared and the Kaguya was freed of the ice prison. Hisoka could feel that his chakra was being depleted with all of his Ninjutsu attacks. The two stared each other down temporarily, it was soon broken by hand seals and the Kaguya screaming Kaze Tama he screamed.

Hmm… this might be a set up. Why would he use this attack again knowing I can counter it so easily, I best keep by eye out. Man, this constant screaming of attacks it getting annoying though I mean you could easily just say the name of the attack… Thought Hisoka as he countered it the same way he countered it the last time.

“There it is!” Said Hisoka as he seen the senbon coming at him. “Bunshin no Jutsu!” He said, an image replica took the place of Hisoka giving him a chance to escape. Hisoka noted that the Kaguya had disappeared into the tree so Hisoka climbed to the top of one of the many poles surrounding the arena, giving him both a 360 degree view and an areal view of the arena.

Notes on Hisoka's Actions/Roleplaying:

Just to point out a few issues on this turn, you don't get to add in the counter bonus unless I as the judge rules that the counter is successful then the +5 acc is added to your attack. Also you don't get to add the acc effects of your Fubuki technique since it states that the acc benefits are at the judge's discretion! Otherwise it wasn't a bad turn with your events and that converting the moisture into ice isn't doing you much good as his mist technique was beaten last time to provide you with ammo but since its been dispelled its not doing you much good atop an enormous tree on a normal day with little moisture in the air.

Overall Notes:

This brawl is starting to heat up, but it seems your advantage isn't holding up as much as you'd like Hisoka!

Kito Uzanaka - May 16, 2007 11:49 PM (GMT)
Quickly becoming exhausted from his constant use of jutsu the young Kaguya realized that his strategy needed to be changed. He had already reduced his rival’s speed by a large amount and could now see multiple openings in his attack. I hope you’re ready Hisoka he thought as he starred at his teammate.

Kito launched himself into the air and onto the top of one of the large poles protruding from the earth. Its diameter was barely large enough to balance properly, let alone fight, but the young Kaguya saw it as only an obstacle.

Reaching into his equipment pouch he revealed a kunai. It was his ace in the hole for when he needed some thinking time. The genin quickly flung the throwing knife at his opponent and proceeded to perform a short string of hand seals. The edged weapon sliced through the air towards Hisoka giving Kito the small break he needed to finish the seals and vanish into thin air.

The crafty Kaguya reappeared behind his opponent and finally decided to use his Kyodai sensu, creating a large gust of wind to slice at his rival as it blew him off of the pole. Kito remained on the offensive as leapt from pole to pole in a circle around Hisoka. Though he could not get up to his maximum speed he felt as if he was still moving fast enough to surprise his opponent.

The crowd, which had once been on the edges of their seats in celebration, was now silent as nature itself. Their anticipation grew with every passing second as they tried to solve the mystery of the young Kaguya’s attack. He had no bladed weapon or weapons in his hands so he was not about to slice the Hyuuga nor did he have any ninja wire to tie his opponent up. He was merely leaping in circles around Hisoka like a jackass in their opinions. However, they could sense something was about to happen.

The young Kaguya continued to build up his speed as he encircled his teammate. With everyone oblivious to his strategy his confidence rose. Finally, he immediately changed directions and headed directly for Hisoka. The crowd went into an uproar of excitement as Kito leapt into the air and preceded his attack with a powerful series of kicks at his opponent.

His footwork was great to say the least as he ended his Kicks and leapt backwards away from his opponent. Attacking so constantly was surely taking its toll on his body and that attack from Hisoka still stung a little. With his stamina being depleted so quickly his breaths had become long and hard as his body tried to compensate for the enormous strain being put on it. Hisoka was no push over and Kito knew that fro sure now.
