Gokusha Migarakousoku Baria no jutsu (Prison Restraint Barrier) Skill: Ninjutsu Rank: B Rank Progression: None Effect: Drains away 1/9 of total chakra from opponent binded in barrier Special: Though it is very rare the only occurence of the technique being broken was due to a powerful ninjutsu attack to shatter the chakra barrier. (Can be broken out of by A-rank and up ninjutsu)(even if opponent immediately breaks out of the barrier using an A-ranked jutsu they will still lose the 1/9 chakra) Cost: 80 Chakra ACC: +20 Description: Gokusha Migarakousoku Baria (Prison Restraint Barrier) was originally a specialized technique used to confine and contain evil spirits until they were sealed away. This technique showed signs of being useful as a means to contain and capture people as well. Since this time it has been adapted to suit the needs of the Konoha Military Police as they are able to bind their targets in a barrier that drains their energy away and gives them a slight shock to make them more managable and easy to capture and bring in if they get out of hand or try to escape. This technique makes it a lot easier for members of the police force to handle prisoners easier and apprehend suspects who refuse to surrender to the will of the law. The reason this technique is so effect is that it creates a barrier made of pure chakra from the natural surroundings and user own to surround and contain their target making it nearly impossible to escape. Limit: Konoha Military Police Only. Can only be used once per battle.

Kenshin was out back meditating to clear his mind and focus his thoughts as he had a heavy burden placed upon him. He was drawing ever so closer to the day when he would assume the role as leader of his clan and he must make a decision of how it will affect him for the rest of his life. Since reaching the rank of jounin many in his clan have been spreading rumors about of what path will the young shinobi take to further advance his skills and role as a shinobi.
Some in his clan think that he will choose the path like many before him and go the route of ANBU. His father the late leader of the clan was a member of this proud group and served the village and his clan with the utmost respect and to the best of his abilities. Then you have other members within the Uchiha ranks that think the young shinobi would better be suited in the medic core ranks because of his friendly and kind personality. Finally you have the smallest branch of the clan that think by some chance that he will step up and take on the role of joining the corp. of the Konoha Military Police. There is not a single member of the clan that does not know the many tales of hard work and discipline one must go through to become a member of the force. But once one takes that step it will change their lives forever as they become the true protectors of its people and home.
Kenshin was continuing to meditate when he felt the prescience of three other individuals that had appeared before him. As the proud Uchiha jounin slowly opened his eyes to notice three shadows before him stood to present him with an option. Kenshin eyes slowly focused on each individual as he recognized them from each of their respective branches. The one on the far left was a kunoichi who worn the standard attire of the medical Nin core as she smiled to greet the Uchiha. The person standing in the center was a young man who appeared to be no older than twenty who adorned the standard attire of the ANBU black ops unit who wore the mask of the wolf as he two bowed respectfully to the young Uchiha jounin. The final individual standing to the right was a captain in the Konoha Military Police core. This person was also a kunoichi who had long flowing black hair and eyes that seemed to pierce one’s soul. She bowed gracefully as the trio prepared to introduce themselves to the young Uchiha.
Kenshin turned his focus to the individual on the left as the kunoichi stepped forward and stated, “It is an honor to be in the presence of the young heir and future leader of the clan! My name is Uchiha Roze (Rose) of the medic Nin core it is indeed a great pleasure to meet you!”
The next individual stepped forward and begins to introduce himself, “It is not normal protocol for ANBU to reveal themselves to outsiders, but at the request of the elder council of the clan I am here under their orders. Hello my name is Uchiha Karasu (Raven) of the ANBU ROOT black ops unit.”
Finally the last individual stepped forward before stating, “Hello my name is Uchiha Mikomi (Hope), captain of the detective division of the Konoha Military Police! I think by now that you realize the reason we have been summoned here to appear before you. Like Karasu mentioned the council of elders of the Uchiha clan realize that you are a few years away from taking on title as head of Uchiha clan. This role is not an easy path and in order to prepare you for what lies ahead they believe that it is time that you make a decision on which path you will take to advance your shinobi career. Many rumors have been flying around for the past couple of weeks among the many members of the clan about which path you will choose but we have been sent here today under orders of the council to find out your decision.”
Kenshin looked at the three members of his clan that stood before him as he carefully thought about what he had just heard. His grandfather was among the members on the elder council and they knew that the young Uchiha was already involved in a great deal of the politics of the clan under the tutelage of his grandfather Vox. He was almost ready to assume his role as leader of the clan but before then he also knew that he must make a decision on which path he would follow. For throughout the history of the Uchiha clan; many of the proud shinobi of the clan have adorned the ranks of these various organizations but none more than being apart of the ANBU and also being the ones to establish the Konoha Military Police. Kenshin knew that this day was approaching and he had taken the time to think long and hard on the situation to finally bring him to his decision he had made.
The young Uchiha jounin slowly cleared his throated as he looked at the three members before him before finally stating, “I have indeed made my decision and it is to become a member of the Konoha Military Police. Yes I know that my father was a great member of ANBU and he served well even becoming a great commander in ROOT. Though I wish to be just as great a shinobi and leader as he was, I feel that I must follow a different path to help mold me into the person I think he would be proud of!”
The three shinobi before the young Uchiha jounin all bowed down as they quickly vanished into a cloud of smoke to report back this important decision to the council of elders. Kenshin closes his eyes once more to resume his meditation for another hour before he heads home to meet with his grandfather and the council.
One hour later….
The young Uchiha jounin makes his way back to the village from his private training area as he enters through the east gate and head towards the residential district. He soon arrives at his home in the Uchiha sector as he can see the grand manor off in the distance as he notices it is strangely quiet today for some reason. He looks around and does not see anyone out and wonders what is amidst but shrugs as he continues to make his way home. When he arrives at his home he slowly opens the door and closes it behind him as he makes his way up to his room to take a relaxing shower. On his bed he notices a scroll lying there. He slowly picks it up and then opens it as he begins to read its contents,

Dear Kenshin,
We the council of elders request your presence at the grand hall at 10:30 PM this evening. All members of the clan will be present for this meeting as it mostly concerns you. More details will be explained upon your arrival!
Sincerely, the Uchiha council of Elders
Kenshin slowly folded up the scroll as he proceeded to his shower and prepared to get change to head to this meeting that he had been requested to attend. Kenshin thought to himself, Father I am ready to advance to that next step and show my clan and village that they can be proud of me and my abilities. I hope that I can live up to their expectations and not bring dishonor to the clan!

Tate no jutsu (Chakra Shield) Skill: Ninutsu Rank: B Rank Progression: Normal Effect: Can block attacks of b-rank or less Cost: 50 Chakra Description: Chakra Shield is a technique taught to officers of the military police that allows them to create a barrier of intense chakra to form and shield them from the most brutal of attacks. It is said that this shield can stop most attacks dead in its tracks without budging an inch. Limit: Konoha Military Police Only. Can only be used twice per battle.
Team Leader, trainer, strategic fighter of Konoha, and more; all these things had been placed upon the shoulders of Iki Shingu. Many accomplished goals and unexpected goals which proved his youthful nature of sickness wrong. He had not only survived but excelled in the world of the shinobi. The silent chuunin had become known as a fierce fighter and respected member of the Konoha family. Sure he still got the cold stares of fear from citizens, but many were glad to have him among their ranks on their side.
Today he could be found in a place noted often as most days, the training grounds. The training grounds had become, what many considered, Shingu’s home from home. It was a strange day to day activity that many used against the Iki fighter to claim he had no life. It was sometimes a mystery to Shingu himself, but it had become a way of life for him. Some figured that he would most likely find his grave in training due to the harsh obstacles he placed within them.
“Four hundred ninety eight, four hundred ninety nine, …five….hundred,” the words released from the mouth of the Iki fighter. His mouth released a sound of exhaustion and joy as he just let himself hang. His feet were wrapped around a dangling branch attached to a large oak tree in the depths of the forest outside of Konoha. With a simple swing and switch from legs to hands, Shingu entered a sitting position among the branch. His eyes then gazed upon the view of Konoha; the village could be seen entirely thanks to his position. The branch he sat on was thousands of feet above the ground.
After thirty-minutes of flips and swinging, Shingu found himself once again among solid ground. His feet touched the ground, landing next to his gear which he left at the base of the tree. He took a few seconds to catch his breathe which he could be seen at a lost for from the training exercise. The Iki warrior, after catching his breathe then retrieved a bottle of water which his mouth was utterly craving. Opening the bottle, Shingu managed to get half the water in his mouth and the other half drenching his sweat covered body. Just like dropping water in a hot pan, steam could be seen oozing off the Iki’s body.
“Well back to Konoha.” The Iki fighter was speaking to himself as he stood up with his gear in a sack held over his shoulder. With the words leaving his mouth, he took his first steps back towards Konoha. It had been some time since he had been in the streets of Konoha. The Iki fighter had left for a year to train and explore new surroundings. He had done many things from climbing mountains, visiting other countries, and participating in fighting tournaments. Today would be his awaited day back and return home.
Shingu arrived at the gates of Konoha getting looks from the gate guards. They stood somewhat shocked at the appearance of the Iki boy. No, he was no longer a boy but a man with a new look among himself. Shingu stood barefoot dressed in ying-yang colored pants. Both sides of the pants had a flame like design on them. Around his waist was a tight black karate belt which had his rank and Konoha written on it in Japanese writing. Even his arms wore new gear as they were no longer wrapped by shadow bandages. Covering his hands, Shingu wore a long pair of fingerless gloves in a mixture of colors. The gloves were colored red, black, and white and also were made of a sturdy protective material.
“Iki Shingu?” the guards asked confused at what person stood before them.
“You were expecting someone else.” Shingu spoke in his normal reply. He looked much more aged and grown up but his mind was still just as serious and determined as before. For once, his appearance actually fit him more than his last appearance. Shingu had always been considered too smart and mature for his appearance. Now, he was grown into the man whom his personality so well defined. The guards, for once, welcomed Shingu home instead of granting their normal feared look. Even the Iki man noticed it as there seemed to be sense of respect coming off from them.
Nodding to them, Shingu made his way through the streets and towards his home. The one walk of cold stares turned into stares of curiosity and confusion. Many citizens were shocked of Shingu’s new appearance and many female shinobi took notice of how even more attractive he had become. Greetings and bows made their way in the direction of Shingu who was somewhat startled by the newly found acceptance from the people of Konoha. In return he gave nods and some waves, until he arrived to his house. Before long, he found himself just there as he now stood before his house.
“Well, I’ll drop off my stuff and then head out to let the Hokage know I’m home.” Shingu opened his door and entered his house, heading up the stairs to his room. The place seemed like it did before he left, peaceful and a different side to the Iki fighter. His painting flourished the walls and his hammock still sat untouched in the corner by the window. Dropping his bags on the ground floor, Shingu decided against changing his clothes. It was too troublesome and he preferred to just enjoy and relax the rest of his day.
Before long, Shingu found himself walking up the steps to the Hokage’s office. With a single knock, the Iki fighter was greeted by one of the Hokage’s guards. Shingu nodded and entered the room to look at a familiar face he had noticed long ago. The Hokage was no longer the man Shingu had known from long ago but someone different. The Hokage was now someone Shingu had noted from long ago as Kaguya Saipher. The two exchanged look as they both were different from before. Not that they ever saw much of each other, but the changes could be noted.
“Iki Shingu, welcome back.”
“Kaguya Saipher, interesting you’re the Hokage now.”
“Aye, time has given us both changes it would seem.”
“Here’s the reports I was asked to retrieve from the previous Hokage and maps from which I have gather upon my travels,” replied Shingu as he tossed a small book on the desk of the Hokage.
“It is appreciated. We’ll I must get back to business; a Hokage’s job isn’t exactly a relaxed one.” Saipher spoke with somewhat of a tired look. “By the way, speak with my guards on your way out. We’re rebuilding Konoha’s forces and your help would be appreciated. Well, good day.” Saipher nodded to him and continued with his reading and signing of several papers among his desk.
(and if anyone cares, Shingu's new look is now updated into his profile)

Kenshin after taking a quick and relaxing 15-minute shower slowly got out as he grabbed a towel and dried himself off. He looked into the mirror as his long flowing silver hair as he begin to brush it and think about his past and reflect on everything that has happened to him in his life since becoming a shinobi up to this current point in his life. He was preparing to take a major step and make a very important decision that would affect him and his career for the rest of his life. One that he would have to be prepared to face many new challenges and trials that await him on his journey to becoming a better man and leader of his clan.
After finishing up his personal grooming he quickly got dressed in a sort of ceremonial style robe that he wore only on special occasions. It was silver and blue in color with long sleeves. It was quite comfortable as it was made of many fine types of linen and felt as smooth as silk. On the arms were the markings of the moon and sun. He wore a special set of sandals custom made to go with this outfit that was just as soft and comfortable. Upon taking one more quick glance in the mirror, he was ready to go as he looked at the clock on the wall and noticed that it was 10:15 pm. He arrived at the grand hall after a brief 5-minute walk. The place was already quite crowded with many members from the clan who were all in attendance to see what would be going on.
Kenshin was greeted by the many already in attendance as they all bowed and showed respect to the young Uchiha as he entered the grand hall. He quickly noticed his grandfather and mother standing off towards the front of the hall near where the council of elders usually position themselves. Kenshin made his way over to his family and gave them both a big hug as he smiled and they returned the same warm gesture.
Vox looked at his grandson before stating, “Hello Kenshin it is almost time for the meeting to start. We were informed earlier by the members sent earlier who contacted you about your decision. Tonight we will hold a formal hearing to discuss more on the details of this transition and your enrollment into the military police. I have to say one more thing; that I am very proud of you my grandson. I know that if your father were still alive he would be so proud as well.”
Kenshin’s mother Tokimi nodded in response to this as well as she gave her son a big hug and the group assembled up front with the other members of the council to prepare for the meeting to start.
Everyone was gathered around to hear the news on the important decision made by the young Uchiha and about the future news of how it would affect the clan. Another member of the council of elders of the Uchiha clan by the name of Prozen stepped forward as he called the meeting to order and spoke a few words to open the meeting this evening.
His short speech went something like this:
Hello everyone and thank you all for attending this meeting this evening; On behalf of the council and myself we would like to thank you for coming out to witness one of the most important events and celebrations for our clan. It is here today that the young heir to the clan has made his decision on which path he will follow to advance himself in the shinobi ranks and bring honor to our great clan. As you all know, the previous leader of our prestigious clan Keji was slain so many years ago by a traitor who turned rogue and killed the entire unit while on a very important mission in water country. The traitor was caught and brought to justice for committing such a vile act against this village and a member of our clan. Now in order to proceed forward to a new generation we present to you the son of our great leader who has been training extremely hard and studying our ways so that one day he will take on role as leader of the clan and council. I present to you all the young man who will one day shape the future of this clan and his name is Uchiha Kenshin!”
The crowd all stood and gave a grand applause as the young Uchiha leaf Jounin stepped forward and took a bow before walking over towards the council member. He then turned and looked out at the crowd before stating aloud, “I hope that I will not let you all down and live up to the heavy expectations that have been put forth for me. I promise you this though, that I will work to the best of my abilities to maintain the peace in this village and keep the name of the Uchiha clan in high honor and regard worldwide!”
The crowd continues to applaud with loud cheering and whistling. Kenshin looks over at his family as the three individuals who had appeared before him earlier today showed up and the crowd quickly grew silent to see what would happen next. The three members walked over to the three leaders on the council of elders and presented them with a ceremonial scroll with a different symbol on each one. The three elders stepped forward one out of the three being Kenshin’s grandfather Vox. The three esteemed and respected Uchiha all came around the young Uchiha and slowly opened the scrolls. They begin to chant in some strange dialect that was written on the scrolls as all the lights in the hall suddenly grew dark and then in a moment everything came back on revealing a stand with a strange box that lie before the young Uchiha. Kenshin looked at the box with great anticipation and intrigue but was mystified to know what was in it as he glanced around at the others as they motioned for him to open the box. Inside he found a set of scrolls bearing the markings of all of the previous leaders of the clan along with a special medallion that held the crest of the clan.
These two heirlooms were sacred treasures passed down from one generation to the next with each leader of the clan and this tradition would continue starting today. The young Uchiha bowed down as one of the other elders placed the medallion around the neck of the young Uchiha and smiled. The elder then turned to the crowd and stated, “I would like to introduce the new leader of the Uchiha clan, Kenshin. He has chosen to follow the path of the military police and will begin his training in the academy in three days. We would like for everyone to keep their support with the young master and wish him the best in this extremely rigorous training to become one of the elites of Konoha Military Police ranks.”
The crowd cheered once more as the meeting was finally brought to a close as everyone left to return to their various homes after greeting the new leader. Kenshin and his family made their way back home for some much-needed rest and to prepare him for the busy task ahead of him. He would have to work hard to prepare himself for the many challenges and trials of the very intense training he would receive at the police academy. Kenshin’s grandfather looked at his grandson and stated, “Kenshin, It will be tough taking on the many challenges you will face in the academy. It is unlike any other type of training you have experienced to become a member of the core; and it will test you to your very limits! I wish you the best! Also I have a few friends I would like to introduce you to tomorrow who you will be getting acquainted with in the academy.”
Kenshin nodded to his grandfather as he decided to call it a night as he went to his room and prepared to go to sleep. He took a nice relaxing bath and then got changed as he slipped into his comfortable bed and finally slipped off into dreamland wondering what tomorrow would hold for him as he begin to forge a new path for himself with his own two hands.
Kenshin awoke early the next day as he always does and got ready as he met up with his grandfather downstairs and they proceeded to the shrine for daily prayer and meditation. However today after meditation, they proceeded to meet up with a couple of old acquaintances of his grandfather. Kenshin noticed three people standing off in the distance when he arrived with his grandfather not far from the entrance to the village. The three individuals approached the two Uchiha and bid them warm greetings.
“Hello Vox, always a pleasure to see you in such good health!” said the man standing to the far left of the three people standing before the pair.
Kenshin’s grandfather smiled as he replied, “Indeed old friend. It is good to see you as well. I see that time has treated you well also.”
The two men chuckled with one another as the two others cut in to state, “Ahem…” in a more feminine and young tone cut in to state, “Did you forget about us as well?”
Vox and his friend stopped chuckling as he stated, “Oh yes, please forgive me where are my manners… allow me to introduce my grandson Kenshin Uchiha. These people here are old friends of mine. On my left is Damien Sho Lee; next to him is the young detective by the name of Kim Masaki, and to her right is another talented fellow by the name of Warren Kusanagi. These three are very talented and all work with the Konoha Military police. Damien is one of the most feared and respected drill instructors in the whole academy. He has trained many a fine recruits in his day and most of the leaders in the force all have trained under him in their days of the academy. Next, you have Kim who is star officer of the core who is moving her way up through the detective unit ranks and is currently a lieutenant who is almost up for her next promotion. Finally, you have Warren who is in charge of the elite SWAT of the Konoha Military Police. These three individuals will be of great help to you if you require it so if you have any problems feel free to ask them for assistance and they should be more than willing to assist you.”
Kenshin nodded to his grandfather and bowed to each after finishing up his introductions. He also received a letter from the young female detective as she stated, “Oh yeah I almost forgot here is your formal letter of acceptance to take part in the training at the academy. You are to meet there at exactly 7:00 AM in two days when the month long training for the corp. will begin. Well good luck to you!”
The trio then left the two Uchiha as they made their way back home for a nice lunch and Kenshin thought about all of the things he needed to do to prepare himself for his intense training that was around the corner. The cunning Uchiha Jounin decided he needed to get some fresh air to clear his mind and prepare himself for the challenges ahead as he took a walk through the village. It was during this scroll that he noticed a familiar face exiting the building of the Hokage’s office; so he decide to go over and greet this person as he has not seen them in quite a while as he gave a brief smiled and stated in a mellow tone, “Welcome back!”

Exiting the Hokage’s room, Shingu made his way throughout the hallways of the building toward the guards. As he walked, his eyes caught attention to drawings, maps, and several other pieces which dealt with the previous war with the rock-nin. A smirk found his face as he remembered most of the maps; having been apart of the group that developed most of the strategic plans for the war. The memories reminded him even more of how long it had been since he left Konoha to travel. The thought even managed a slight snicker out of him as he thought back to when he lead his team in the mission.
The first thought to come to mind was what surprise awaited Shingu at the gates before leaving. Arubaro, a jounin whom he knew, had diverted several fresh genin into the hands of the Iki fighter. Yoshido had even been helping during that day, not to aid Konoha but to fight other shinobi as he often did. In fact, Yoshido hadn’t been heard from much and was rumored to have left Konoha once again. The Iki warrior decided to look into it more on a later note.
“Iki Shingu?” one of the guards spoke from the distance.
The words made their way to the ears of Shingu but somewhat faded off due to his overlooking into the past. In truth the Iki fighter noticed the calling but decided to wait a minute before responding back. Opening his eyes from thinking into the past, Shingu turned and looked toward the guard’s direction. “Yeah,” Shingu made his way in the guard’s direction. The Iki warrior exited the shadows of the hallway and entered the lighted room of the guard.
As he entered the room, Shingu received a bow in respect from the guard. It was still a strange feeling to the Iki but he was slowly getting use to it. The Iki eyed around the room, he never remembered the Hokage’s building being so huge. He figured it mostly being due to his past way of entering the Hokage’s room for a mission and then exiting the building right away. Thinking no more on it, Shingu gave a nod in thanks to the guard and stepped to the center of the room.
“I’m sure the Hokage notified you of the losses we took in our forces?”
“Aye not the best news, but what does it have to do with me?” The Iki warrior stood looking at the guard.
“Well, we’re looking for candidates to help rebuilding them.”
“Sorry, not interested.” Shingu replied rather quickly not giving it a second thought.
“Nani, this isn’t an offer we just hand out to anyone.” The guard spoke somewhat angered by the response.
“Aye, I know.” Shingu spoke and headed toward the exiting door of the room.
“Same old Shingu, haven’t changed a bit.” A familiar voice spoke out from the corner of the room.
“Arubaro-san,” the guard gave acknowledgment to the entering jounin and nodded to a gesture to leave the room. Arubaro stood as tall as ever with the only change in his features being the length of his hair. In his mouth he held a cigarette reaching its end. Flicking the cigarette from his mouth, the jounin flashed into a blur before the eyes of the Iki fighter. A right fist appeared before Shingu looking to take him out, as the Iki brought it into a stop with the simple movement of his left hand.
The combat then began as Shingu returned with a swift kick leading Arubaro into a backwards flip. The jounin reached back to his feet to notice the Iki already a blur to him. Shingu appeared behind him delivering an elbow to the face. Taking the blow, Arubaro entered into a tucking roll then back to his feet. His mouth spit out some blood and his right hand wiped it away. “A bit offensive there, aye” Arubaro spoke retaking his stance.
“Let’s just say I owed you one or did you forget about that surprise raid of fresh meat long ago.” The Iki fighter stood standing strong as Arubaro gave a small laugh. He was surprised Shingu remembered, though he probably knew Shingu would. A battle of attacks and blocking then followed as a series of kicks and punches entered the room. Neither fighter was taking any hits, simply deflecting the other as they attacked.
“So you are as sharp as ever if not better. Impressive,” Arubaro spoke as he waved to end the spar.
“What’d you think I did during my year of travel, just my assignments?” The Iki spoke with somewhat of a sigh.
“Nah, I know you better. But your training and knowledge of Konoha’s surroundings is more than enough reason of why you should help rebuild its forces.”
“It may be enough reason for you, but not for me. I got a team to lead; I don’t need to be occupied with Anbu or Med-nin missions.” The Iki fighter making it known that he was a team leader first before any other task.
“Your team’s grown; you think they just sat around during the year of your absence. Besides, I was thinking of a more challenging job that is slowly rising from the ashes.” Arubaro retrieved a scroll from his back pouch and threw it in the direction of Shingu.
Catching the scroll, Shingu gave a glare to Arubaro before slowly opening up the scroll. Within the scroll, it spoke of Konoha’s Military Police Force. The task of protecting the village and more was explained in scroll about the roles of the KMP. The requirements to join were no easy feat either as it required intense training. The information was interesting and Shingu could see that the training could train him into a better leader for his team.
“Not like I’d give you a choice, I’ve already placed you upon the entry list earlier today on the hearing of your return. I as well as others and even the Hokage have put in an honorable mention to get you on that list. You are one of the most qualified shinobi in our ranks Shingu and who knows, the KMP might even benefit from you being on it.”
“Fine, I’ll give it a shot. Just stop your rambling, its annoying.” Shingu responded before throwing the information scroll back to Arubaro.
“Well you’ve changed in appearance but you still have that same serious attitude. Anyways, take this. It’s your letter of acceptance to get into the training. The details of where to meet and such are on there. Well then, welcome home and good luck.” Arubaro tossed him a wrapped up letter and then left leaving a cloud of smoke in his absence.
Placing the letter into his pouch, Shingu made his way out of the room and once again into the hallways. His arms stretched out and he cracked his neck as he continued his walk. He did that to relax his body from the previous warm-up session he just participated in. Arubaro always took it upon himself to try and attack Shingu off-guard. A habit that was annoying to the Iki fighter, but a habit he got the best of today with his striking elbow.
Finding his way to the building’s exit, Shingu opened the door and stepped out into the peaceful outside village that was Konoha. His eyes took a minute to once again look over the village of which he had not seen in a year. Now it would be even longer it appeared before he could relax and catch up on information from the previous year which he missed. The KMP training would be held in two days and consisted of one month’s training. Reaching the final step from the Hokage’s office, Shingu looked up to see a familiar face.
“Welcome back!” the words exited Kenshin’s mouth as the two shook hands.
“Yea and what a welcome back, already being forced to try out for the KMP. I see you’ve moved up in rank, congratulations on that. Now that I’m back, I’ll probably go after it myself soon.” Shingu replied as he retrieved his hand back from the hand shake.

The Uchiha Jounin and the silent Chuunin shook hands in a friendly manner. Shingu then spoke up to state, “Yea and what a welcome back, already being forced to try out for the KMP. I see you’ve moved up in rank, congratulations on that. Now that I’m back, I’ll probably go after it myself soon.” as he retrieved his hand back from the hand shake.
Kenshin gave a brief nod as he replied, “Thanks. I am sure you will make it to jounin in no time. So, I see that you are going out for to become a part of the KMP also, that is cool. So am I, maybe we will end up in the same training class! Oh yeah I almost forgot that the training will begin in two days from now so I guess that I will see ya then!” as he gave another brief smile before waving bye to the Kage Iki chuunin before heading into the office of the Hokage to finish an errand he was running.
Kenshin proceeded up to the second floor of the building near the specialist division, which were his old stomping grounds when he was a special Jounin delivering a report to the commander Inuzuka Tsume. The kunoichi quickly recognized her former subordinate and gave a smile as she spoke up stating, “Well it is good to see you still alive and kicking. So how has life been treating you since your promotion to full fledged Jounin?”
Kenshin smiled as he replied, “Things have been going rather well. In my spare time, though I have been working on my training to master a couple of new jutsu and just build up my overall strength in case it may be called upon to aide the village once more. So here is the report that I was sent to drop off containing the information on that case you requested!” The cunning Uchiha handed over the folder containing the documents as he gave a brief wave before exiting out the door.
The Inuzuka Jounin specialist commander replied, “Have a nice day, and don’t work too hard in your training! I will see you around some time Kenshin!”
The clever Uchiha Jounin made his way exiting out of the building as he decided to take a scroll around the village to take in sights and just relax before heading back to resume his training. He decided that he would pay a visit to his team headquarters at the academy and check up on his sensei, Hari Kagerou from Zenshogun and see what she had been busy with lately. After a brief five minute walk, he arrived outside the gates of the academy as he noticed a group of students over nearing one of the training grounds practicing with their shuriken and kunai on the various targets. Kenshin smiled as he stood there and watched the young kids busy working hard to improve their skills with the weapons as well as their accuracy of their attacks.
While he was lost in watching the kids train, he failed to notice someone sneak up behind him as he felt a tap on his shoulder and quickly spun around to see his sensei. Kenshin smiled at the beautiful woman as she stared at the Uchiha with a hard glare.
She looked over at the kids training here at the academy before turning back to her student and said, “Well Kenshin what brings you here to the academy today? I have not received any orders for deployment of the team or is there another reason you are here?”
Kenshin shook his head before responding, “I just decided to drop by because I was in the area and wanted to see how you have been doing lately. I have been so busy lately going from mission to mission or either busy with training and haven’t been back here to mingle with the team and see how everyone has been doing in a while. It is good to see you doing so well Hari-sensei. Oh yeah I also came by to tell you that I am going to try out and see if I can join the ranks of the Konoha Military Police!”
Hari looked at her pupil as the wind picked up and caused her silver hair to sway with the breeze. She gave a brief smirk before stating, “Congratulations on being nominated for taking part in such a rigorous training regiment such as there’s. I wish you the best of luck and hope when we next meet that you will be a member of the core. If you need me to help you with anything please feel free to stop by and ask for my assistance! Well if you will excuse me now I have some reports I have to finish before filing them with the office of the Hokage.”
Kenshin nodded in response to his sensei as he turned to head back towards the commercial district on his way to the west gate to go do a little training. The day seemed to pass by rather quickly as the cunning Uchiha did his normal training routine before deciding to call it a day and return home to rest up and get himself prepared for the intense training that he would be taking part in two days from now that would last for an entire month. He hoped that he would not disappoint himself and the people that found him talented enough to take part in this special training.
Two days later…
Kenshin woke up bright and early as he took a nice relaxing shower and got dressed as he double checked his gear before setting out to the desired meeting location. He arrived early as he noticed only two of the other candidates had arrived as well to take part in this training. A split second as he was about to sit down next to a nearby tree he noticed a familiar face to his right as the individual appeared out of a cloud of smoke. It was the young detective he had met two days ago with his grandfather. She immediately recognized the Uchiha as she smiled to the group before looking over the list she held to check off the other candidates as they arrived.
A few moments later he noticed two other individuals that he did not recognize appear as well as they called over the young detective as they spoke amongst one another while they waited on the final two candidates to show up. Kenshin looked around and saw five other shinobi besides himself. He wondered where Shingu was as one of the two individuals not recognized by the Uchiha stepped forward and stated, “We have 5 minutes left to wait on the remaining two candidates to arrive. Once they arrive we will depart to start your formal orientation and initial physical before proceeding to begin education on what it means to become a member of the Konoha Military Police!”
Kenshin noticed the man that had stated this was an older gentleman who had short brown hair who appeared to be in his early to mid thirties. He wore the standard uniform of the military police core and had a strange weapon strapped to his back. He turned around to continue speaking to the other two members of the core with him, as the other candidates seemed to keep to themselves or briefly greet each other while they waited on the others to arrive. Kenshin thought to himself, Well this is it. It is finally time to show them and village what I am made of. Father please watch over me, I promise that I will make you proud of me!
((OOC: Yeah I know this was a short post but this is just introduction so that in next post we can finally start training and stuff. Hopefully we will be able to finish this sq within the next 2-3 posts! Well enjoy!))

“Guess I’ll see ya then!”
Shingu gave an acknowledging nod to the Uchiha as the two then made off on their own separate ways. It was a humorous thought to the mind of the Iki fighter pertaining to the fact that he would once again be paired up with Kenshin. The two weren’t exactly friends or enemies, but they seemed to have gotten stuck together in several past missions. As the silent one made his way back towards his house, he decided to think back on how far they had grown. His first thought into the past, brought him to a retrieval mission led by Konoha’s Hotaru.
-Flashbacks in random steps-
“Take these flares with you if you need it.” Hotaru spoke as she sent the group of four genin out into the field. She herself got back in the convoy with some jounin whose name Shingu had long forgot. Turning back to the group of four genin, they quickly climbed a mountain in which they split up into groups at the top. Two genin went after one scroll, while Shingu and Kenshin got put together to receive the other one from a nearby mine. It wasn’t too long after in which the Iki and Uchiha found the mine and made their way into the depths of it.
“Looks like we got company,” Kenshin stated as they arrived back at the mine entrance after retrieving the scroll.
What then happen was one of the first times, Shingu decided to take action and put himself in more of harms way than equally spread out with his team mate. They were young and fresh genin, Uchiha still feeling the nervousness of entering battle. It was nerves that soon left, as Kenshin nodded to Shingu’s plan. With the release of a smoke bomb and kunai, the Iki fighter appeared with kicks to the faces of the surrounding enemies. Soon after, Kenshin appeared to set off the flare and join the fight.
It was a mission of many first, as Shingu used his Raiton Raikyuu to immobilize two attackers. His eyes glanced over at Kenshin’s position a few times, noticing him to be handling himself in the same manner. The fight was an intense one with a wave of attackers that would seem to never want to end. It was more than any genin should be required to fight and soon the fatigue of the battle could be seen among the two Konoha genin. The end soon came however and with his last ounce of energy, Shingu arrived to deliver a kick to the face of an attacker that almost claimed the life of the Uchiha.
-End flashback-
“Heh, that’s ancient stuff right there.”
As the memory faded, Shingu lowered his head from its current view of the clouds above. The memory was long enough to cover up most of Shingu’s walk home as he looked to see his house a few yards before him. Shingu scratched his head as he knew now was new times and both him and the Uchiha had grown up a long ways. It would be interesting to see in a few days, exactly how far they had come. It was day of running into old faces as Shingu opened his door and found a familiar face sitting in the room.
“So you’ve finally came back.”
“So you’re still here?”
“Funny isn’t it. Just can’t seem to get out of this damn place.” Yoshido snickered with his response.
“They’re eventually going to stop letting you come back, you know.”
“That’d be true if they knew I was here.” Yoshido’s last statement then brought a spark of interest into the mind of Shingu.
“Aye, I saw the flyer. Not expecting me to just let you walk away are you?” Shingu replied as earlier in the Hokage’s office, he noticed a flyer with Yoshido’s face on it. The crazed chuunin had gone ANBU and then killed his squad on a recent mission. As due to the result, he became a Missing-nin with his absence in Konoha. Shingu had always held the possibility of this day coming, but never really planned for it. He was aware of Yoshido’s lust for battle and knew that alone was his reason for his new occupation.
“Well, I’d hope not.” With that one sentence, Yoshido drew out his sword and charged the Iki fighter. Bringing the metallic part of his gloves forth, Shingu raised his hands in blocking fashion to deflect the sword. The sparks of deflection entered the air of the room as the two stood caught in death staring eye contact. It wasn’t long until, Yoshido’s vast genjutsu skill began to leek from him and creating mist servants. The action commenced further in the building as Shingu received as many kicks and punches as he returned to Yoshido.
Catching Yoshido hard with a right punch, Shingu managed to cause the dispersion of the mist servants but with that more genjutsu attacks only seemed to follow. Blurry views of the room twisting and Yoshido taking on images never seen before from the Iki, began to disrupt Shingu’s solid defense of fighting. With last minute blocks and countering kicks, the Iki did what he could to dissolve half of the possible damage from the attacks. Soon he found himself getting slashed here and there with the crazed genjutsu fighter’s sword stabbing at him.
“Don’t underestimate me Yoshido!”
Shingu stood up from his recent knockdown, his right arm completely releasing the energy that was the source of an Iki’s power. It wasn’t soon until Shingu’s eyes turned completely black and the shadow realm aura completely took over him. Then in the blink of an eye thanks to the Raiton Jorutsu, Shingu appeared before Yoshido and slammed in hand into the stomach of Yoshido. The blow was so intense that Yoshido’s back arched into the air and Yoshido’s genjutsu began to fade away. In that split second, Shingu and Yoshido now stood in the shadow realm. Yes, Shingu had perfected Deruku Kage and now Yoshido would feel the full force of it.
Within the Shadow realm that seemed like ages, Yoshido found himself being struck at random from several sides. His body began getting slammed, cut, and beaten with intense impacts. The move was after all an intense assassination technique developed by the Iki clan. However, there was still one more step Shingu needed to learn before it became able to deal death to his opponent. The time limit of the attack released, as the shadow realm seemed to fade away from them. As the room came into view, Yoshido flew out of the shadow realm backwards and through the wall of the house.
A large cloud of smoke filled the area, sending a signal to surrounding guards of Konoha. With the last of his energy as he slowly stood up, Yoshido released a genjutsu to buy him some escape time. The cause of the illusion gave the smoke filled area a temporary clearance as if it never happed for a few seconds. As Yoshido leapt to the top of the gate, Shingu noticed him and took off after him. Upon the two making their way out Konoha’ gates, the genjutsu dispersed and the loud roaring of destruction released once again.
-One day later-
Shingu came to a stop near a river; it was late in the evening. He had been tracking Yoshido, but was gaining no luck thanks to genjutsu he continued to have to counter. It was here that Shingu decided the hunt would need to be continued for another day; he was getting no where fast and in a few hours his training for the KMP would begin. Using the river, Shingu cleaned his wounds and wrapped bandages around them. He would set up a small camp in the trees and rest up from the long exhaustion of battle and tracking.
-Next day-
The Iki had slept only for two hours before getting up and making his way home. His path was made through the trees and his movement at a decent speed. His cuts and wraps had been covered up by his cloak as he wanted to avoid having anything delayed because of them. Some short pains would come now and then, but it was nothing the Iki couldn’t ignore as he moved. Judging from the Sun’s accent into the sky, Shingu gave himself only a few minutes before the training would commence without him. Thankfully, he made it in time though as he hoped down from the trees and landed near the other participants.

((OOc: It was a rather short post but the next one should be much longer because the training begins. Hopefully we will finish this by the next 2-3 posts. Well Enjoy for now!))
Kenshin was standing there with the other candidates as they continued to wait for the final two candidates to arrive. Time was going by rather slowly when one of the instructors turned to the group and was about to make an announcement. It was at that moment that Shingu arrived after leaping down from a nearby tree stating, “Iki Shingu!”
Kenshin face gave a brief grin at his comrade for having made it in time as the instructor and his two assistants turned to the candidates and begin to address them, “Well I thank you all for coming today to try to prove if you have what it takes to make it into the Konoha Military Police. It will be a long and hard road ahead of you and I wish you all the best of luck. Now if you will follow the two detectives to my left and right they will escort you to the medical facility for a full physical examination and then take you to the beginning of formal education about the history and purpose of the KMP!”
The two detectives saluted the older gentleman as he disappeared in a cloud of smoke as the young female detective from the other day looked at her partner and nodded as they both turned around and looked over the candidates once more. She then spoke up to state, “Alright you maggots, listen up carefully because I am only going to say this once. You have been left to the care of Lieutenant Gantz Treiss, and myself Lieutenant Kim Masaki! We will now take you to the medical facility where you all will undergo a strict physical to check both your mental and physical health. Upon being cleared of all tests you will then proceed with us to the KMP Training facility 13 located near the western gate. It is here that you will meet your formal drill instructor who will be with for the next month to get you into shape and see if you are worthy of calling yourself an officer of the KMP. From this moment forward you are all considered grunts until you earn the title and respect that is given to a cadet! Now enough chatting time to move out!”
She motioned for the candidates to follow her as they all followed her towards the testing facility that was located near the main hospital. Kenshin looked at some of the other candidates who were already starting to get nervous of what further challenges stood before them. Kenshin was eager and ready for anything as he proceeded inside the medical facility and waited his turn to be checked out. Most of the other candidates had already completed their physicals and were waiting outside talking amongst one another of what other things they would face on this first day. Kenshin glanced at Shingu who was standing in the corner with his eyes closed probably thinking about something and not worried what will come next. Kenshin thought to himself, Shingu is as cool and laid back as always. Well I guess that is a good thing unlike some of the other candidates who are getting stressed out over nothing. Well Father this is it my first stepping stone towards becoming an officer! The cunning Uchiha Jounin’s train of thought was interrupted when his name was called by one of the nurses as he followed the pretty lady back to one of the waiting rooms.
Not to long after he arrived a female doctor along with two other nurses came in and begin to inspect the Uchiha. Kenshin was alright at first until they told him he would have to strip down for other tests to be taken. He went into the local bathroom and took off his clothes coming out in nothing but his boxers as he could feel his face turn red out of embarrassment. Some of the nurses made witty comments amongst one another about the Uchiha’s very attractive body and his handsome good looks. The doctor scolded her assistants as she told them to stay profession and do their jobs as they finished up with all of the other tests and the Uchiha was allowed to go put back on his clothes. Kenshin briefed a sigh of relief when the doctor informed him that he was in the optimum peak of fitness and health and that he should have no problems. As she sent her nurses to call for the next candidate to begin his exam.
Kenshin returned outside as he awaited for the others to finish as time passed by rather quickly and within an hour later everyone had finished with their exams. The two lieutenants then proceeded to escort the KMP candidates to the training facility located near the west gate of the village. They arrived after a brief five minute walk as they could hear sounds of fighting from inside. The candidates all looked at one another and wondered what was happening inside when they entered the two large doors and walked down the corridor until they entered a large room almost rivaling that of the size of a large dojo or the arena where the Chuunin exams were held. They noticed on the walls the many pictures and scrolls of decorated officers of the core along with various other trinkets and items about the history of the KMP.
Kenshin then noticed a large spot light go on as it shone on the middle of the floor of where one man was standing. He turned around and looked at the candidates before shaking his head and stating in an arrogant tone, “How pathetic, is this the best you guys could come up with? You really expect me to believe that these wimps were the ones chosen to take part and try to conquer the academy to become a part of the KMP? Well one thing is for sure, when I get done with them you will be lucky if they can even survive what I have in store for them!”
The man begins to laugh as many of the other candidates were frozen in complete fear. Kenshin looked at Shingu who did nothing but stare at the man with an evil glare. As he turned and soon recognized the face of the man standing before him.
Lieutenant Gantz stepped forward and stated, “Grunts, ATTENTION! Sir, we leave them in your care!” as all of the candidates assumed a military attentive stance shown to them earlier of how they were to follow the proper greeting and protocols when dealing with officers and other members of the core, before himself and Kim saluted and exited the building. Kenshin thought to himself, This is going to be one hell of a month ahead of me. I don’t know what he has planned for us but I know that I will find a way to make it through this no matter what challenges or obstacles may come in my path. This is the path I have chosen and I will not be broken or back down from my word as it is my nindo and pride as a man to hold firm to what I state! Father watch over and I will make you and the village proud!

(*As promised, sorry for the delay. I'll be faster on the next one so we can get this done in a timely manner.* Note to readers: Does not mean I'm officialy back yet.)
“Iki Shingu”
The silent chuunin slowly arose from his landing; his eyes noticing a nod from a female instructor as she made a mark on her clipboard. Then as always, Shingu looked over his surroundings and those around him. His eyes moved in stealth and quick movements, noticing Kenshin to be among the candidates. It would seem they would be in the same training group after all. Shingu then turned his glance to the instructors; taking notice to the words of their opening speech.
“Well I thank you all for coming today to try to prove if you have what it takes to make it into the Konoha Military Police. It will be a long and hard road ahead of you and I wish you all the best of luck. Now if you will follow the two detectives to my left and right they will escort you to the medical facility for a full physical examination and then take you to the beginning of formal education about the history and purpose of the KMP!”
Shingu simply folded his arms and leaned against the tree behind him. So far this introduction seemed only filled with irritation and annoyance of foretelling the medical exam. His eyes stood half open, his mind focus on what the instructor spoke of but displaying a slight bore with it all. His attention was soon caught again, as he looked up to see one of the instructors take his leave with two assistants. His head then looked up to the yelling which then commenced.
“Alright you maggots, listen up carefully because I am only going to say this once. You have been left to the care of Lieutenant Gantz Treiss, and myself Lieutenant Kim Masaki! We will now take you to the medical facility where you wall will undergo a strict physical to check both your mental and physical health. Upon being cleared of all tests you will then proceed with us to the KMP training facility number thirteen located near the western gate. It is here that you will meet your formal drill instructor who will be with you for the next month to get you into shape and see if you are worthy of calling yourself an officer of the KMP. From this moment forward you are all considered grunts until you earn the title and respect that is given to a cadet! Now enough chatting; time to move out!”
Shingu arched up from his lean, taking acknowledgment to them finally getting on with the show. His eyes wandered as he moved with the pact, glancing at the KMP buildings and structures. Soon they founded themselves standing before a grand white building, easily noted as the facility in which they would be tested. Also, there was a sign on the wall of the building which clearly stated “medical facility.”
As they entered, Shingu found a wall for him to lay back on. He could see the instructor smirk as his ears picked up some chattering. The majority of the pack seemed to be getting nervous; shaking all over with chattering teeth. The silent Iki simply shook his head, released a sigh, and leaned his head back against the wall. Slowly his eyes closed going into meditation as he always did; his ears awaiting the mention of his name. He sat calmly in his own world, hearing the names of Kenshin and other candidates. Soon he then heard his name and opened his eyes to see the door before him open.
As he entered the room, Shingu noticed a door ahead of him slowly close. Seemed this was only one of a series of testing rooms. His eyes peered around him, taking note of the emptiness of the room and the vast whiteness which colored it. He sighed and prepared to take up his lean against a wall again, however the thought was interrupted by the entrance of a female in a large white coat. Shingu simply followed her movements as she pushed a few switches. Shortly after a table appeared with several puzzles and a exam paper.
“Please have a seat, we will now begin your mental exam. You have ten minutes, which begin now.”
Shingu gave her an annoyed glance as she exited the room. His eyes then turned to the exam and puzzles before him. He began by opening the exam packet, the questions resided in it seemed to be filled with riddles and questions which gave no sign of answer. The silent chuunin took a second, closing his eyes and focusing his mind. Their had to be a simple solution; he just needed to find it.
His eyes turned to the puzzles, beginning work on them. With each second of time ticking in his head as he made work. The solutions came clearer as each puzzle seemed to respond to a question on the exam. Within no time, Shingu began making quick work of the puzzles and marking off several answers upon the exam packet. As the time count within his head hit five minutes, the Iki placed down his pencil and looked around. From the view it seemed, he would have to wait the full ten minutes regardless.
He released a sigh from his chair, making his way up and back to the wall from which he entered. His eyes closed once more and into meditation he drifted.
-behind the glass window watching the room-
A door opened as the earlier female doctor entered.
“How is our subject?”
“He stood up from the testing table only five minutes within the exam, gave our window view a glare, and then commenced to his current position.”
“Nani? Does he assume to test to be a joke. Open the test door, we’ll move him on to the physical exam.”
-back to the testing room-
“About time” Shingu opened his eyes to the sound of a door opening.
“Yes, well come now. We move on to the testing of your bodies health.”
The doctor watched Shingu enter the next room as she pushed a few buttons. The data from the test results then made their way back to the data room. She then followed behind the Iki and closed the door behind them.
“Madam, the mental test for the Iki is off the charts. I’ve never seen such a score.” The doctor listened to the words coming through her ear piece.
“Well, seems you live up to your reputation. No doubt the mental results we expected from someone who was chosen to help strategize the attack patterns on the year’s past war against the rock nin. Only a chuunin as well, an interesting candidate we have been given. I now see why you received such recommendations. Either way, step behind the curtain to your right and strip to your boxers. My assistants will now test your physical health.”
The Iki moved with no show of emotion, he was a bit annoyed by these child like test. He made his way behind the curtain stripping to his boxers and then returned back to the examination table. His eyes peered as two younger females entered to perform the test. Responding to their request, Shingu laid down upon the table and simply closed his eyes. He once again entered his peaceful state of mind, allowing his face no emotional response to the needles and test put upon him.
The assistants stared in question, caught off guard by the Iki’s body. Not only was his body well fit for battle, but it was designed and outlined with several marks of past battles. Something not expected to be seen on such a young one. Upon the chuunin’s body, several scars resided granting strange looks from the assistants. If anything, they were impressed and figured the chuunin to be quite a catch. Though they remained professional, giving the go ahead to Shingu for him to place his clothes back on.
“Again impressive, though strange. You have more battle scars on you than I have seen on some adults twice your age. Well then, you pass both test. You may proceed through the door to my right and join your comrades.”
Shingu gave the doctor a glance at hearing the word “comrades”. They were no comrades of him, simply others who had been chosen to be put to the test. As he exited the room, Shingu eyed a giant courtyard in which the others and two lieutenants waited. Shortly after his arrival, the two lieutenants nodded to one another and then commenced on leading the group to the training facility. As they moved, Shingu eyed the pathway and noted the structures of the KMP grounds. It was an interesting sight to see and even seemed to hold some equipment that Shingu could see putting to good use.
Two large doors then opened, leading into a large room decorated with pictures and scrolls of past KMP officers. It was no doubt a sacred place and more than likely a place to give one honor in even being able to train here. It wasn’t long until all but one light turned off, no doubt another person of importance making their entrance. Shingu’s gaze then met a man who would no doubt become quite an annoyance to him in the next month.
“How pathetic, is this the best you guys could come up with? You really expect me to believe that these wimps were the ones chose to take part and try to conquer the academy to become part of the KMP? Well one thing is for sure, when I get done with them you will be lucky if they can even survive what I have in store for them!”
Shingu simply stood in his place, staring the man down.
“Grunts, Attention! Sir, we leave them in your care!” The two lieutenants spoke and then made their exit.
Though already annoyed by the man which would be leading them, Shingu was at least glad that the real training would finally begin.
This better be worth my time
