Ive been anticipating this event since I got wind of the Ortiz Vs Liddell Match, But Also the rest of the fights on the card look fantastic

Eric Schafer v Michael Bisping
Marcio Cruz v Andre Arlovski
Chris Leben v Jason MacDonald
Forrest Griffin v Keith Jardine
Tony DeSouza v Thiago Alves
Chuck Liddell v Tito Ortiz
Carmelo Marrero v Gabriel Gonzaga

Eric Schafer V. Michael "The Count" Bisping
Round 1: both men come out fighting no touching gloves for the count, a quick shoot attempt to no avail by Schafer and another successful one, bother man back up wrestling against the fence. Both clinching, a few shots abd schafer is busted open. schafer takes it to the ground. Schafer in half guard. Schafer on bispings back and bisping hits a slam. Both fighters wrestling. Bisping uses the fence well and stands up. Knee to Schafers head, it shook him. Bisping dominating with big shots and knees. Schafer catches a knee and takes the cocky brit to the ground. Now bisping puts him on his back and stands up. Bisping dominating now with hard shots, schafer rolling to avoid shots and get rocked again, Mario Yamasaki stops the fight. Fight stopped in the first round.

Winner : Michael " The Count " Bisping

My thoughts:
What a opening fight. I may come across bias here (being British myself) but Bisping came out looking great. His shots looked great. What a great UFC Debut!

Marcio Cruz Vs. Andre Arlovski
Round 1: as the announcer said its weird not seeing Arlovski come out with a belt because to me he is a champion, don’t ask me why I just really dig his fighting style (and his vampire sunshield ha-ha) Both men come out touching gloves, nice leg kick from Arlovski. Jabs from Arlovski, a quick Shoot by Cruz which is sprawled well by Arlovski. Cruz gripped hard in half guard. Both men back up. Marcio is really trying to take the fight to the ground but Arlovski is avoiding it fantastically, throwing shots to the top of Cruz's head. Cruz is desperately trying to get him to the ground by holding his knee… both to the ground Arlovski tried an ankle lock but couldn't get it locked in. Marcio tries one of his own but Arlovski throws an illegal kick on the floor. But Arlovski comes out of the warning with a huge right hand and is now raining right hands to the back of Cruz's head and Herb Dean comes in and stops the fight as we see Cruz go limp in the floor.

My Thoughts: Arlovski did a brilliant Job avoiding the takedown attempts from Cruz. Cruz just couldn’t take him to the ground. He had Arlovski's knee up and he just couldn’t finish and take him to the ground. After the mid fight stoppage with Arlovski's illegal kick, Just as Herb dean allowed the fight to continue Arlovski threw a huge shot and it allowed Arlovski to finish him.

Winner: Andre Arlovski

Chris Leben Vs. Jason MacDonald
Little Side note: is it me or did Chris Leben looked really weird and possessed when he was walking out? Talk about trying to get in your opponents head.

Round 1: Both fighters tough gloves, Macdonald attempts a leg kick. Leben catches it and takes him to ground. Lebens up and delivers a few hard shots and is now trying to get past the guard. Leben postures up and comes in swinging. Leben is pushed into the cage by MacDonald and is struggling to get out of it. Steve Mazzagatti seperates and fighting commences again, Macdonald has him again against the cage. The fighters are off the cage. Macdonald throws a leg kick and is countered with a nice punch. And again Macdonald has him against the fence. Steve Mazzagatti seperates them again. Leben hits some good knees in the clinch, and uppercut and more punches. Out of the clinch, and then back in. Leben throws more knees nd Macdonald pushes Leben back into the fence. Round number 1 ends with Leben dominating with Shots. Both men go back to their corners

Round End Thoughts: Chris Leben had that round hands down, Macdonald kept trying to slow him down by pushing him against the cage. But failed and Leben hit some great knees and some good shots to his face

Round 2:
Leben looks a little bit gasses, but catches a leg kick and ground and pounds a little, Leben gets kicked in the face and shoots in for side control. Leben is being held around the head to Macdonalds chest, then drops and elbow. Both men up, Macdonald hits a knee to the head. Macdonald is putting non top pressure on leben and pushing him up against the fence. Leben looks gassed still. Leben Catches and drops another leg kick. Leben hits a nice knee. Macdonald finally gets Leben to the ground. Hes on top in half guard. Leben's guard is wide open and looks a little weak. Macdonald throwing shots to the mid section, whilst eating some himself. Leben is being locked in a Guilotine. Leben in trouble. Leben isnt giving up. JASON MACDONALD CHOKES OUT CHRIS LEBEN!

Winner: Jason Macdonald

My thoughts: In the beginning I thought Leben had him. The first round was Lebens definitely, But Lebens guard was wide open and that allowed Jason "The Athelete" Macdonald to lock in a Guillotine choke. Leben refused to tap and Referee Steve Mazzagatti had to stop the fight. Macdonald finally proves (in my eyes) that hes no ones stepping stone.

Forrest Griffin Vs. Keith Jardine
Small sidenote: Ive been looking forward to seeing forest fight again. Also id like to see Jardine fight again. Lets hope we see a good fight. Lets see if the dean of mean can use his crippling leg kicks on Forest Griffin oh and the first fight of the night with Big John McCarthy refereeing

Round 1: Jardine comes out and throws some hard shots, and a hard leg kick but Griffin throw a good jab and threw Jardine off a bit. Forest hits a nice inside leg kick. Jardine hits some fast hand combo's but none of them rock Griffin. Griffin utilizing the Jab here. Griffin ducking some good shots and countering with shots of his own. Another leg kick from Griffin. Right Left combo from Jardine. Jardine with a hard Leg kick. Jardines leg kick is caugh but he slithers out. Jardine is caught with a punch. Jardine used a nice elbow but it didn’t connect. Both men throwing good punches. Jardine hits a nice high/med kick. Jardine throws and connects a hard shot to forests chin. Jardine sent back with a shot. Griffin still looking confident, also being accomanied by crowed chants of "forest", the crowed spoke to soon Jardine hits him with a flurry to the face and he takes forest down and makes him eat So many huge shots, Big John stops the fight. Here is your Winner Keith Jardine.

Winner Keith Jardine

My Thoughts: My god what a fight, this fight had you on the edge of your seat. Jardine in the end had him with his huge flurry of devastating punches which sent Griffin to the ground and finishes him with so many huge shots. Jardine is a straight out dog. What a fight. And what a night its been so far.

Thiago Alves Vs. Tony DeSouza

Round 1:Both men touch gloves and resume their guards. Desouza shoots and Thiago sprawls. Both fighters are circling each other then Desouza shoots with another successful sprawl by Thiago. A third takedown attempt and Thiago evades it once again. Desouza comes in swinging, but the better striking skills of Thiago come through and Desouza is hit with a huge right and is knocked on his back. Finally Desouza has it on the ground, Desouza is on his back and eats a few shots and both men get up. Desouza looking a bit hesitant to come in again. A few high kicks by Thiago are missed and Desouza shoots in and Desouza finally gets Thiago to the ground and noq Thiago is on top throwing down hammer fist and normal punches, if Desouza eats many more hes finished. Desouza is in trouble at the end of the round. Tony Desouza took a beating in that round.

End of round thoughts: a bit of a boring first round but it got a bit better towards the end. Thiago had him on his back and has making him eat some hard shots but Desouza held out till the end of the round… Lets see if he can redeem himself in the second.

Round 2: the round begins as the last did not a lot of activity just circling. Thiago takes him down and hits some nice shots. Desouza tries a high kick and his caught. He comes in with a shoot and Thiago knees him in the face and ends the fight.

My Thoughts: Was a pretty good fight. Boring in places, you could hear the crowd get a bit annoyed but all in all a good solid fight.

Tito Ortiz Vs. Chuck Liddell
Small side note: my god we've finally come to the main event. The UFC Light Heavyweight title on the line. I've been waiting anxiously since it was announced. God I cannot wait for it to begin. Lets hope its an all out war. Two of my favourite fighters, and in my opinion two of the best fighters in the octagon again!!

Round 1: The crowd are on their feet waiting for this one, you could cut the tension with a knife. The crowd are buzzing as the announcer announces the judges and fighters. Now in the MGM grand arena in Las Vegas we will see Ortiz Vs. Liddell II for the UFC Light heavyweight Title.
Both men surprisingly touch gloves and the fight is on. Liddell hits a leg kick and is tagged with a jab. Ortiz throws a leg kick and connects. Liddell throws a jab and a hook, Ortiz shoots and Liddell sprawls. Ortiz throws a nice high kick but misses. Ortiz throws a hard overhand right and connects. Liddell Jabs. Ortiz rocks Liddell a little bit Liddell is back with shots of his own. Ortiz is hit with a jab and an uppercut and then throws a few kicks. One to the leg and one high which misses. Tito throws another kick which is swatted away. Liddell's previous punch cut Ortiz above the eye. Ortiz ducking a few good shots and is hit with a few aswell. Lidell can smell the blood, Liddell is in and throws a good few shots. Tito is down and Liddell is going to finish the fight, Tito is kicking up high. My god it looks like tito has dodges his final bullet. It looked like Liddell had him there. But Tito is back up. 23 seconds remain in round 1 and Tito is bleeding profusely. Ortiz throws a leg kick and the round is over

Round Thoughts: my god what a 1st round, It looked pretty even. Towards the end Liddell busted him open and could smell the blood. He went to town and knocked Tito to the ground and let rip with tons of hard shots to titos face we all thought it was over but Tito kicked up and survived the round.

Round 2: Ortiz throws a leg kick and shoots in and Liddell sprawls and both men are back up. Tito fakes and has chuck off balance a little. Liddell throws a few good shots but Ortiz is still balanced.
Liddell throws a body shot and has Ortiz Retreating for a moment. Ortiz tags Liddell with a jab. Ortiz goes in and doest block and gets tagged. Both fighters standing toe to toe. Tito with a lovely high kick. Ortiz shoots in but again Liddell sprawls it and goes in with a few shots of which Ortiz dodges. Tito lands a nice right hand. Tito fakes and goes for a high kick but misses. Liddell is tagged with another jab. Ortiz shoots and takes him down. Liddell is up but Tito is still latched on. Liddell slithers out. Now the fight is on. Ortiz now has a confidence gain at the end of the second round

Round Thoughts: Another great round. In my eyes Ortiz may of took that round 10 - 9 but only just, What tipped it for me was his successful. It also gave Ortiz his first taste of momentum and confidence of the fight. I think now the war will begin.

Round 3: Both men come out and touch gloves. Ortiz comes out with a high kick which misses but connects with a nice inside leg kick. Tito Ortiz counters after his shoot attempt is sprawled with a nice punch. Chuck slowing down the pace a little. Ortiz hits a nice kick to the mid section and a nice jab. Tito hits a leg kick but chuck answers with a nice body shot. Tit shoots in for the leg but ends up on his back with chuck hanging over him with shots. Liddell lets Ortiz stand up and the fighting resumes. Ortiz hits a leg kick. Ortiz is now busted open again. Liddell comes in with a jab and then with a hard right. Ortiz is being backed into the cage and answers chucks barrage of punches and hes now on his back. Chuck raining down shots on Ortizs face. The referee steps in and stops the fight.

Winner: And still UFC Light Heavyweight Champion CHUCK LIDDELL.

Thoughts: In the end Ortiz tried tie exchange with Liddell but his power was too much for Ortiz and Ortiz went down and that was it. Chuck Liddell Remains the king of the octagon. What a fight that was. It was such a hyped up fight and the fight itself didn’t disappoint us. What a fight and what a night. The Iceman remains the champion. Tito was gracious in defeat and gives an emotional interview.
End of Event Thoughts: The main event itself was amazing. But the under card was one of the best I've seen in Any UFC event. My favourite undercard fight of the night was Jason Macdonald Vs. Chris Leben, because it was so unpredictable. After the first round I said to myself that’s it Leben has him but Jason Macdonald Proved himself. God now in 2007 we will See Rampage Jackson and Mirko Crocop making their Debuts in UFC. What a Year of MMA we have ahead of us.
