Both men are now in the cage as the match is officially underway and Ayster continues with the assault with continuous right hands to the temple of Lucifer staggering him followed up by a kick to the gut. Ayster sends Lucifer off the ropes but he ducks on the return and bounces off the opposite ropes but this time Ayster ducks the attempted manoeuvre and on the third encounter both men take the other out with clotheslines.
Mike: This match kicking off with fast paced action and each had similar intentions there. They both know each other so well but yet both are capable of pulling off uncharacteristic and unorthodox moves. Jerry: You are right there Mike and who knows what lengths these men will go to win this one.
It’s Ayster who manages to get to his feet first and clubs a blow to the back of the neck of Lucifer who was on one knee. Ayster proceeds to bring Lucifer back to a vertical standing point and is taken aback as Lucifer connects with a hard blow to the side of the face and continues with a couple more but Ayster not going to let Lucifer gain any sort of upper hand responds with a few of his own and it turns into an all out slugfest as both exchange right hands in the centre of the ring and with each shot the noise level gets louder and louder with neither one wanting to give an inch.
Mike: This is crazy! About 20 shots have been exchanged here!
The constant shots continue and its Lucifer who begins to gain the advantage as he lands four consecutive shots to Ayster who begins to stagger and in a boxing type combination Lucifer lands a knockout blow as Ayster collapses in the middle of the ring to a huge cheer by the sold out crowd in Madison Square Garden!
Jerry: Oh no! Ayster is down!
Lucifer does not rest on his laurels though and continues the beatdown on the champion. He brings Ayster back to his feet and throws him into the corner of the ring, there he charges and hits a clothesline in the corner, Ayster staggers out of the corner before dropping down in a sit down position. Lucifer surveys his damage and knows he must do something to try and incapacitate Ayster in order to begin the climb out of the structure. He takes a few steps back and runs at Ayster and attempts an unorthodox dropkick into the corner but Ayster rolls from where he is at out of the ring and Lucifer goes groin first into the ringpost!! Loud groans are heard in the arena as they realise what has happened.
Mike: Ouch is all that can be said there
Ayster uses the structure to pull himself back to his feet from the outside and looking in seeing Lucifer in agony on the mat Ayster decides to take the initiative and bring the ladder into play. He pulls it out and throws into the ring going in after it and goes on to reclaim the ladder having another look at Lucifer checking he is still down and positions it below the door on the roof. Ayster now begins to climb the ladder checking down every second for the status of Lucifer who is beginning to get back to his feet. It’s a long climb up the 20 foot ladder and Ayster is about half way as Lucifer finally gets back to his feet. He sees the danger and this time he connects with his dropkick as he takes out the ladder from beneath Ayster who crashes to the mat below. The fans rise to their feet as Ayster rolls along the mat clutching his back.
Jerry: Ayster just went for a 10 foot fall there!
Lucifer now picks up the ladder and positions it in the corner of the ring. He heads over to the fallen Ayster and pulls him across the mat opposite the ladder. He grabs his legs and positions him for a catapult but Ayster low blows Lucifer who falls to his knees before falling on his back to a loud chorus of boos. Ayster now gets to his feet and grabs the legs of Lucifer and catapults him face first into the ladder, the impact heard all over the arena as Lucifer collapses back.
Mike: Oh my God, Lucifer just got his face re-arranged!
Ayster this time takes the ladder and once more positions it in place, he takes a look up at the 20 feet distance and begins his climb. Again Lucifer is stirring and Ayster has a look down at this but yet continues his climb.
Jerry: Stop looking down Ayster!
Ayster gets a bit higher and begins to shake a little as his motions get slower and slower as he continually looks down. Lucifer is back to his feet and looks up at The Ayster who has stopped climbing and looks down at Lucifer in an intense stareoff with a separation distance of 10 feet. Fear is etched on the face of Ayster who quickly tries to climb back down the ladder but Lucifer simply, boots it and it falls with Aysters coming off and going neck first into the ropes and bounces back to the ground.
Mike: Was it just me or did Ayster seem to get slower as he climbed that ladder Jerry, he constantly is looking back down as well. Jerry: He’s just cautious of Lucifers positioning that is all Mike.
This time Lucifer sets up the ladder in position and proceeds to make his climb, there is no tentativeness about Lucifer as he is climbing at a quick rate but Ayster this time is shaking off the cobwebs and slowly getting to his feet again. Lucifer is past the halfway mark up the ladder when Ayster calls at Lucifer to get his attention. Lucifer does stop his climb and in a repeat of a few minutes previous both stareoff again. Ayster smiles to seek some revenge from his past two falls and as candidly as you like he pushes the ladder over with one hand as Lucifer flails in the air before crashing to the mat.
Mike: Ayster exacting some revenge on Lucifer but how much punishment can their bodies take?
Ayster rolls out of the ring and brings another ladder into play. He rolls it into the ring and stomps down on Lucifer a couple of times before grabbing the other ladder and he sets it underneath the body of Lucifer with evil intentions most definitely on the mind of the World Champion. He sets the other ladder on top of Lucifer who is now sandwiched in between ladders. Ayster looks down at his work and looks up at the exit of the cage before heading over to the turnbuckle. He climbs to the top rope and looks down at the trapped Lucifer.
Jerry: Ayster is going to kill Lucifer here!
Ayster is very cautious but its not long before Ayster leaps off the top rope with an Ayster Splash.....
Mike: OH MY GOD! Jerry: Aysters broke in half!!
Michael Lucifer had lifted the ladder on top of him as Ayster landed right on it and flipped over it onto the mat motionless on the ground. Lucifer seems to have a bit of a conscience as he looks down at the broken Ayster but it is only short lived as he goes towards the ladder. The ladder is trapped though between the ropes in the aftermath of what happened and Lucifer is trying to get it free.
Mike: Lucifer trying to get the ladder free here Jerry: Yeah but doesn’t he realise theres another ladder behind him Mike: Its a high pressure situation, I am not sure Lucifer has a full grasp of his surroundings.
Lucifer is having a problem untangling the ladder all the while Ayster is beginning to recover. Eventually he gets the ladder free and sets it up in the middle of the ring, the noise level almost deafening now. He begins to climb up it, the fans willing him all the way while Ayster is almost to his feet but is visibly in anguish. Lucifer is approaching the halfway point up the ladder as Ayster finally gets to his feet. Ayster takes a few seconds to grasp his surroundings and notices the danger. He proceeds to grab the other ladder.
Jerry: Ayster! What are you doing? You will never catch him up with that ladder.
Ayster did not have those intentions in mind however.
He sets the ladder up horizontally off the ladder Lucifer is climbing. Lucifer takes a look down but he is 15 feet in the air and knows he must keep going. Ayster takes a look up at Lucifer before taking a few steps back and proceeds to run up the horizontal ladder and flies through the air spearing Lucifer off the top and to the mat below!!!!
Mike: JESUS CHRIST!! Jerry: HOLY SHIT!!
The fans echo the sentiments of Jerry and a massive Holy Shit chant goes around the arena as both men lay motionless on the mat. Numerous replays are shown of the incident from different camera angles as the referee tends to both men...
