An apology and an offer, Want PSFX back?

Hello, all. I'm not sure how many people will end up reading this. However, I would still like to apologize to anyone and everyone who, like me, wishes this site had stuck around a bit longer. I didn't do enough advertising for this forum, and I didn't do a very good job of bringing new excitement to this site as posting dropped to one every couple of months. Eventually, I stopped visiting because of other responsibilities.

If you are still interested in an exciting, helpful PSFX, please write ONE POST in this thread describing exactly what you'd like. If you are not currently a member but would be tempted to join if the site were more active--please do join and post in this thread. I need an accurate gauge of how many people are interested in the revival of PSFX.

If I feel like there is a large enough group of people who want a real PSFX forum, I will return to my administrative responsibilities here and begin posting new tutorials, etc. In addition, I'll begin advertisting for this site so we can attract new members. Minor changes to the design of the site may become necessary. If activity really gets going, I may even employ a moderator or two.

If I don't receive enough enthusiasm in this thread, I will basically continue to let this site exist as it currently does--an inactive resource for anyone who may occasionally stumble across it. Posting will still be possible, but I won't be taking my administrative responsibilities too seriously.

So, it's up to you, the people of PSFX. What do you want? I will stand by either decision. Again, I apologize for the state of inactivity I've allowed this site to fall into. I eagerly await feedback from everyone reading this post.

Hey Joe. I've been coming on every once in a while, but there weren't any new posts. I even missed a PM from May somehow!

Anyway, I'd like PSFX to come back. At first, I sort of abandoned it because I wasn't very good at PS. Now that I've gotten better, I'd like a PS forum to come to.

I have to say, though, good job. By now, I would've deleted the board if I was the admin.

I would like to see a revival of PSFX though, and a board for showing off rotoscoped videos and those kind of things.

Although I no longer have photoshop or anything I still wouldn't mind it coming back. PSFX just needs a new hot topic, a new trend! Everyone seems to have gotten over Star Wars so we need something else!

Personally I would like to see more video effects and rotoscoping

I'm part of so many things I forget about them, and I don't have much time to work with photoshop as much as I'd like. But if there were more people and such happening here it would be a good thing.

What I'd like to see? Mmmm. Probably some more stuff on hair work, as that's all I've been doing lately. I enjoy cosmetic changes and such.

Well, I will certainly take all of this into account. Thank you for the replies, everyone. If time permits, I will try to "revive" PSFX. Unfortunately, my workload situation this year is looking pretty dire...but if all goes well, I'll have enough time to get this site going again and perhaps enlist the help of a co-admin or mod. If anyone is interesting in such a position, please don't hesitate to email me.

I am taking a digital photo class at my high school so I will post up any nice effects I make with photoshop in that class here to keep the forum active.

Mmmmm, vaguely. I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll be able to do too much for PSFX. Just not enough time. If anyone is seriously interested in a co-admin/super-mod position--which would basically entail taking charge of moderating, maintaining, and advertising for PSFX--feel free to PM me. Otherwise, I don't think much will be happening here.
