Anyone here play or like the Sims. I love them, but I've only played the Sims 1. Never 2. Two seems like I would be really stressed while playing it. There's too much stuff to do. Anyways, yeah. The Sims rock. They crack me up! laugh.gif

I have never played the computer version, but i've played the playstation version. It can get pretty addicting. I didn't get to play it that long because my step brother kicked me off the playstation. dry.gif

Oh, I've never played the Playstation version. I've only played the computer version, and the Game Boy version. They are completely different. The Game Boy one has all these goals you have to complete, and the computer version you can just mess around and have fun. I definetely like the computer version better.

don't the sims have like wants and needs and a bunch of stuff like that in the sims 2? Like, if they're romantic, they want to have 5 kids or something like that? there's nothing like that in sims 1, but i've heard that it's in the sims 2.

I know, right? I wish I could play the Sims 2, just to see how it is, but I probably don't have enough room on my computer.

Yeah we had both and it completely junked up the computer (which was crappy to start with), so I haven't been able to play for ages now. Can't wait till we get the new computer!!!

The main difference (for me), that really makes the Sims 2 so much better than the original is the whole growing up thing. I'm not really sure how to word this, but it's like... in the Sims, the characters are so 2 dimensional. In the Sims 2 they live lives, they grow, they make choices, they have goals, they fall in love in a more realistic manner, they have children which can in turn grow and have their own children! It feels like so much more iof a storyline. AND THEY CAN HAVE ALIEN BABIES!!! When adult males get abducted, they become pregnant and have alien babies. It me SO LONG to get my guy abducted, but it was worth it.

Do you have any of the original Sims expansion packs? Makin' Magic was awesome! wub.gif

I have the entire series of the first one, including all the expansion packs. i don't play it much anymore, only when i'm really bored. I used to play on it for 3 hours at a time!

I did buy the sims 2 a couple of years ago when it first came out, but back then i had another computer that did not have the right software, so i took the game back to the shop.
I have played on it at a friends house and i think it is much better. Though it took a while for me to get the hang of all the new functions. And the whole 3D thing made it so difficult to navigate.

I had a guy on the Sims that was the ULTIMATE sim. He was an amazing magician, earnt heaps of money and bought a house in Magic Town. He managed to breed dogs and one of them was full on all their skills and relationship. He NEARLY became a superstar, only one star away, he got married, killed her, got to the top of a career, became rich, became poor (I literally deleted all his money), and he managed to stay alive and become less poor. I think he managed to accomplish all the expansion packs.

Good ol' Jason.
