to a lesser extent: de-shawn
outrider - February 14, 2010 10:48 PM (GMT)
One of the smartest trades in a long time right there.....I'm just a little sad we don't get 4 DeShawn Stevenson vs. LeBron matchups/year and probably 0 in the playoffs now.
Admiral Maxtreme - February 15, 2010 02:02 AM (GMT)
it looks like you might not be getting amare. some other teams are considering upping their offers for him.
outrider - February 15, 2010 04:55 AM (GMT)
I don't really mind...it would be awesome as hell, but 13 in a row ain't nothin to sneeze at without him or even Mo.
Admiral Maxtreme - February 15, 2010 12:14 PM (GMT)
but can you beat the lakers without him?
outrider - February 15, 2010 03:09 PM (GMT)
I'm quite positive one of those 13 was a pretty sound victory over the Lakers, so yes. Actually, I don't know what all this "chasing the Lakers" talk is, other than because they're the champs...the Cavs have completely demoralized the Lakers twice this year.
outrider - February 15, 2010 04:43 PM (GMT)
Saturday night, I had a dream the Cavs lost to the nuggets on a last second shot on Thursday. I have rarely woke up and been happier that it was all just a dream.
Admiral Maxtreme - February 15, 2010 06:21 PM (GMT)
i'm not saying the lakers are better. i think that they're about even with the cavs, and if anything, the cavs are better. i'm just saying that it won't be easy to win a seven game series against them.
outrider - February 15, 2010 06:34 PM (GMT)
True true. But it should be mostly in the Q, dominated by you know who.
Cap'n Sexy - February 15, 2010 06:52 PM (GMT)
I believe you said the same thing last year when they played the Magic. I still like them to go far but sadly I think the Cavs will beat them this year. I think the Mavs are now better than the Lakers with injured Kobe and are now my pick to win it this year. Mark it: Mavs over Cavs (assuming they get Amar''''''''e). This totally fucks up my pre season pick of Lakers over Hawks though. Maybe next year. But if I'm right on either of these picks I'm gonna count it and there's nothing you can do to stop me.
Also I've been playing around with the trade machine on ESPN and I found a way for the Blazers to get Amar''''e. It doesn't make much sense for the Suns to make it but they still are getting way more talent than they would in the Cavs trade. Check it out (I posted the link here but I'm an idiot and don't know how to get it to work so.... recap: The Blazers send Andre Miller, Steve Blake, Travis Outlaw, and Martell Webster to the Suns for Amar''''''''e and the centerpiece of the trade Louis Amundson((He wasn't needed for the cap space to work or anything....I just wanted to throw him in)) The Blazers ended up being 6 wins worse and the Suns 10 worse.
I've successfully made both teams worse but really the Blazers would be so fucking good next year (assuming Amar''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''e would resign) Jeryd Bayless would finally get the starting pg role and a front court of Oden Amar'''''''''e and Aldridge (who I think could play the 3 since he takes stupid fucking jumpshots anyway) with Roy would beat the Hawks in the finals next year. Come on let's make this happen
Admiral Maxtreme - February 16, 2010 02:20 AM (GMT)
first of all, i love your use of the multiple apostrophe. secondly, i like the mavs pick. thirdly, my preseason pick of cavs over spurs hasn't looked good all year, but who knows? fourthly, if the blazers got louis amundson, i would pick them to win the title every year.
Cap'n Sexy - February 16, 2010 08:07 PM (GMT)
Thanks. And now this trade will never happen cause they just traded Outlaw and Blake for Marcus Camby. Let's go 18 rebounds and 3 points a night. Woo
Admiral Maxtreme - February 16, 2010 11:40 PM (GMT)
but he's the camby man! it's like michael olowokandi (or even lamar odom), but different!

Whatevs...we got tawn for the last pick of the first round. Wu tang clan don't give a fuck, and either do I. Amare can screw himself.

We'll see what happens in June...
Admiral Maxtreme - February 20, 2010 04:55 AM (GMT)
when the mav747ks sweep the cavs?
outrider - February 20, 2010 01:35 PM (GMT)
Silly #2, the Mav747ks aren't playing a series of games against UVA. Because those are the only cavs they could sweep.
Admiral Maxtreme - February 20, 2010 05:41 PM (GMT)
we'll just have to wait until june to find out, won't we? that is, if the cavs even make it to june...
outrider - February 20, 2010 05:58 PM (GMT)
Who's going to beat them?
Admiral Maxtreme - February 20, 2010 07:09 PM (GMT)
outrider - February 20, 2010 08:49 PM (GMT)
They ain't gon make the playoffs son.
Admiral Maxtreme - February 21, 2010 05:48 PM (GMT)
you realize that they're the fifth seed in the east, right?
outrider - February 21, 2010 05:49 PM (GMT)
Yeah...but i've got a feeling they fall out.
Admiral Maxtreme - February 21, 2010 05:50 PM (GMT)

I've got a good feeling about the bucks.
Admiral Maxtreme - February 21, 2010 10:08 PM (GMT)
but that doesn't mean that toronto will fall all the way out of the playoffs.
outrider - February 21, 2010 11:55 PM (GMT)
Yeah it does...I've also got good feelings about the Bobcats and the Heat.
Cap'n Sexy - February 22, 2010 12:46 AM (GMT)
Suck a pair of testicles Belcher.
Admiral Maxtreme - February 22, 2010 04:39 AM (GMT)
why is that? i'm just curious which of the many valid reasons you picked.
outrider - February 22, 2010 05:27 AM (GMT)
The heat are no-pun intended hot right now and the Bobcats have been coming on strong allllll year.
Admiral Maxtreme - February 22, 2010 12:07 PM (GMT)
so what? that has nothing to do with toronto failing to make the playoffs.
outrider - February 22, 2010 01:01 PM (GMT)
If you factor in my good feeling about the bucks it does.
Admiral Maxtreme - February 22, 2010 04:01 PM (GMT)
no. the raptors are in fifth. if the heat, bobcats, and bucks move ahead of them, that puts them in eighth, which qualifies them for the playoffs.
