He stood up, Yumiko attached to his leg, his arms around Leiko, and Yuki clinging to her. The entire family in one cuddly bundle. He closed his eyes and gestured, then shifted his hold on Leiko to walk more comfortable side by side with her. And home they went.

Leiko winced as she was shifted. She was going to hurt for DAYS, healing or not.

"I know dear." He scooped Leiko into his arms and carried her to the bedroom. He set her down gently, then lay down beside her with his arms around her. "I love you..."

He smiled at her, then leaned forward and for the first time in their marriage... kissed her on the lips without asking first. "Good night my love." He was asleep within seconds.
