Having reached a reasonable distance from the apartment, Forte ducked into an alley, walked down it to the next block, and reversed direction. It wouldn't evade any skilled tracker, but she doubted anyone was that interested in her destination.

Rock, after taking a VERY long shower got out and bandaged up his leg. He limped to his room as softy as possible, but he was making some noise with dragging his leg.

In panic, Rock tried to dash into his room at the end of the hall, but used his bad leg and collpsted insted. He then tried to avoid his father by going through a nearer door.

"Well. I guess some roudy kids went to school with a cut up leg and bandages, and before you know it, everybody wants it. Now if you don't mind dad, I wanna get some sleep." He started to get up, but the pain shot through his leg as he put pressure on it. he toppled over again and a few tears rolled down his face.
