The morning came and the ninja proceeded to lead them along the trail. After a few minutes walk he fell in beside Chiyo, keeping an eye on the heretic.

After a few minutes of silent walking, it might have come to Chiyo's attention that the slightly younger kitsune standing beside her was holding her hand.
